To think that the whole world could darken and finally break down... it seemed strangely beautiful.

What was it about the thought of the sky weeping that first amazed me?

*Flashback*

"Byulah...?"

I opened my eyes suddenly as I turned to face the oh so familiar voice. As I scanned over every angle of her typically worried expression, a slight laugh broke free from my heart.

"Yongsun... It's only a rain-shower, I made sure there wasn't any lightning before I came outside. Really..." I said

Her uncertain brown eyes peered up at the sky from underneath the umbrella she was clutching, as if she were trying to reassure herself of what I'd said.

"I...I guess so. But you're getting wet, you could catch a cold or-"

With a playful smile ringing on my face I reached out to gently tug the umbrella from her clutches. Meekly she surrendered it to me, but seemed shocked when I closed it and left us both to the mercy of the elements.

"B-byulah!?" She stumbled out as raindrops forced her blonde hair to cling to her forehead.

"You know Yongsun.." I whispered gently.

"The thing about rain-showers is that the earth finally lets go of what makes her sad... She gets another chance at a new life..."

She pulled back just enough to catch a glimpse of my eyes.

"That actually reminds me of something She said..."

"Of what...?" I asked softly

"Of you..." She said

My eyes softened as my breath caught in my throat. I let the subtle feeling in my heart spill over to my expression as she looked up at me.

A smile gently came to me as I savored the feeling of warm raindrops on my skin.

But most of all, I let myself bask in this one amazing moment...

A moment to be truly real...

With the earth at my feet...the air filling my lungs... Listening to the sound of raindrops... Ddu Ddu, Ddu Ddu.

Yongsun smiled as she turned to look up toward the now clearing sky.

"And there's the proof that earth really is happy with her new life." She said gleefully as she reached to hug me.

No matter how many years go by, just behind her eyes, I could always find the comfort I need after a bad break up.

*end of flashback*

Just like the earth seemed different after a rain-shower, almost as if the air was charged with new life. Maybe I can to finally release all the grief built up within my heart.
