It’s now or never, Gyuri thought.

She took a deep breath, hand already on the door handle.

She knew what she has to do.

No matter how hard it will be, no matter how many emotions will come out. Even if she should embarrass herself, she will not care about it.

She already lost what was most precious to her and now she is here, in front of a small night café, to get it back.

To get her back.

Park Jiwon, her girlfriend.

Well, Gyuri isn’t sure what they are anymore and that’s why she is here. She wants to apologize to Jiwon for how she acted the past day.

It developed into a fight with Gyuri throwing harsh words at the younger girl who screamed back.

In the end, Jiwon was a crying mess and Gyuri left without another word. Only after the next day started, Gyuri realized how wrong she approached their problems.

It’s totally normal for couples to fight and it made Gyuri only feel dumber.

It wasn’t their first fight.

They had some arguments in these four years they’ve been together but this one seemed to be the worst one.

Jiwon wasn’t picking up her phone and after Gyuri went to their shared apartment, she found a small note from Jiwon telling her, she needs time and doesn’t want the taller girl to call, text, or look for her.

At first, Gyuri found it was only fair and accepted it.

However, a few hours without Jiwon made her rethink everything. There was this gut feeling, telling her that if she doesn’t fix it right now, she will regret it and their relationship was most likely over.

Gyuri could cry after remembering what she called the younger girl.

She remembered how Jiwon was confused about why Gyuri was mad at her.

Hayoung, Gyuri’s ex asked Jiwon to sing at her wedding.

She accepted, not knowing that Gyuri didn’t even want to attend the wedding.

Like every fight, it starts with one single mistake or misunderstanding, and then suddenly little things get added, making it into a big fight, where both sides are so worked up that they go on and on with things their partner did wrong in the past that they forget about all the happy memories and even forget the reason why they started the argument.

Gyuri was in the same spot, not understanding why it made her so mad. Jiwon is an amazing singer, that’s why she has a small part-time job at the night café.

The younger girl always had the dream to sing on other stages, even if they are small, like a wedding.

Gyuri felt like she tore Jiwon’s dream apart in front of her.

The younger girl probably thinks that Gyuri still has feelings for her ex, which isn’t true at all.

After endless rejected calls from Jiwon, Gyuri tried to reach their shared friends who were just as clueless about Jiwon’s whereabouts. She also got some good scolding from Chaeyoung and Saerom.

Now two people could know about where Jiwon is.

Either the younger girl’s childhood and best friend Jisun or Jiwon’s mom.

She would prefer not to call any of the two since they are very protective over Jiwon when they fought.

Since Gyuri’s mission was more important, she swallowed her ‘fear’ away and called Jisun.

After the fourth ring, the phone was picked up

“Big courage to call here”

where the first words from the younger girl.

She sounded mad, giving Gyuri the idea that Jiwon talked with her best friend about their fight

“Do you know where she is?”

was Gyuri’s reply.

Her sorry was reserved for Jiwon’s ears and only hers

“Can’t you read, or didn’t you find the note where she says that she doesn’t want to talk to you?”

Gyuri couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

She was getting frustrated

“Come on Jisun. Please help me out”

“Forget it. Don’t worry, I’m with Megan but please respect her wish and leave her alone for tonight”

Before Gyuri could interject, the call ended.

She groaned into a pillow, thinking about her next step.

She is a bit relieved that she doesn’t need to call Jiwon’s mom since Jisun told her that she is with the shorter girl.

Even after the call, Gyuri won’t give up on reaching Jiwon.

She just wants to know where their relationship stands and how Jiwon was doing.

After thinking for at least an hour, she had an idea.

The night café.

No matter how Jiwon is feeling, she sings.

Right after finishing her thought, she called the café

“Hello?”

“Seoyeon?”

“Gyuri?”

“Yeah, hit, could you do me a favor?”

“Seems like you are in a rush”

the younger girl said with a low chuckle

“What can I do for you?”

“Is Jiwon singing tonight?”

“Yeah, she is. Didn’t she tell you?”

“No, we fought, and please don’t tell her I asked. I want to apologize but she let me”

“Ahhh okay, got it. My lips are sealed. She will start at 7 pm”

“Thanks, Seoyeon, I owe you”

“It’s nothing, just get your shot together and make up with her”

Gyuri thanked her again and the call ended.

It was only 1 pm so Gyuri had a lot of time to think about what she will say. When it was time, she was nervous, just like the day she asked Jiwon to be her girlfriend.

It was 7:08 when she entered the café.

Right after getting inside, she heard her girlfriend’s voice, making her heart calm down a bit.

However, hearing the song she was singing (I’ll never love again- Lady Gaga) made her stomach turn, thinking that she doesn’t even have the chance to make up.

Jiwon had her eyes closed so Gyuri quietly sat down in the front row. Jisun noticed her and wanted to go to her, but luckily Seoyeon held her back.

The song ended and right after Jiwon opened her eyes, their eyes locked. The younger girl seemed shocked and like she doesn’t know how to react to Gyuri being there.

The next thing Jiwon did was go to the music manager and tell him a change of song for her next stage.

Gyuri couldn’t help but frown when she realized the song.

It was one of their favorites. 12:45 by Etham.

The feeling however was different this time, since the lyrics were spoken to her.

It′s 12:45 on a Tuesday, and I don't really care what you say

I′m just getting off my face tonight

'Cause I'm just tryna live to the weekend

And I don′t know how I′m supposed to breathe when

Everything you say is playing on my mind

You don't know where I′ve been and you don't know what I′m drinkin'

I need a moment to think about nothing at all

Oh, baby, you gotta stop, I see that you′re calling

I told you that I ain't picking up

I know that you wanna start

'Cause we got our problems

I love you, but I just need a night off

It′s getting pretty deep in the AM

And I should go home, but I′m staying

I'll be sleeping on the cold floor tonight

I hope you′ll understand in the morning

That this is just my problem that I'm solving

Yeah, I got a lot of stuff on my mind

I don′t know where I've been, and what the hell am I drinkin′?

And I can't help but to think, yeah, it's all my fault

Oh, baby, you gotta stop, I see that you′re calling

I told you that I ain′t picking up

I know that you wanna start
