two groups from different companies It's been four years since their debut when six-member boy group Horizon's company Daebak Entertainment succumb to the mountain of debt, falling under as a disgraced bankrupt mess and the group is contract bound to another entertainment company, Blank Ent, that just so conveniently buys them out like merchandise.

Is it mercy that they're given a chance to continue their lives as idols? No, actually, mercy has nothing to do with it. Instead, Horizon gets forced into joining Blank Entertainment's own predebut boy group, Mitfit, who has gotten more interest than most of Horizon's years promoting as a group combined with their prereleases and promotions.

Horizon has tried so hard to make it as stars and international idols, but within four years they're pretty much nobodies, while Misfit, a predebut group of trainees are doing fairly well in the spotlight and here they are - face to face as labelmates and soon-to-be groupmates.

Now, the sunbae group must forget their ties and join forces with rookies as one group, Ground Zero. Forget just surviving the industry, first they have to survive their own company. Horizon needs to forget the past, move forward from Daebak and face the music. They're in debt to Blank Entertainment and need to flourish here as someone else, someone new, no longer Horizon. And Misfit is no longer just a gang of rowdy golden trainees, no they have new blood vying for their treasured spots in the new group. 

The cold realization of the truth is this: life is a competition and to succeed you must do everything in your power to make it possible. Idol life is not a fair game, and more than likely, bigger companies swallow smaller like fish in the sea. No one is guaranteed success no matter how hard you work, and you better be willing to give it your all and more to make it in the industry.

Both groups face the inevitable truth, that their debut is a competition between not only other groups in the industry but between each other, and to come out on top, you might just have to play dirty or cower down to someone else.

Can they survive the cutthroat environment of their company and surprise everyone by building strong ties to each other? Will they be able to become one unit and forget their differences as experienced idols verses monster rookies, moving forward from the past together? Or will their differences, secrets, scandals, and hardships cause Ground Zero to fall apart?

Hi, Cherry here, thank you for reading this! I was really inspired to write this kind of 'competition' cutthroat fic based on real life situations within the industry.

There are so many groups out there that are amazing, but sadly happen to be from tiny companies so they never get traction and it's unfair. I wanted to highlight that brutality here in Ground Zero, which brings us to this.

Ground Zero will follow the before, during and after of the boys journey, piecing together the transitional period of two groups becoming one unit and all the bumps in the road that that brings. 

I'm just looing for a drama-filled adventure of theatrics and idols, sprinkled in with pessimism and redemption lol. Bring on all the of drama, controversy, rivalries and enemies please. I'm looking forward to seeing it all.
