"What the hel—-", the figure said.

Irene's eyes couldn't get much bigger as she realized the freaking figure was a person. Her face turned to a dark shade of a ripened tomato as she stared back at a bewildered, greatly astonished, and fully Son Seungwan.

OH GOD.

There is a moment of silence between the two before the realization and embarrassment kick in.

"WHAT THE ??" / "OH MY GOD!!" they both said in unison as it finally dawned on both of them how literally awkward the position they are currently in.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Wendy asked her as the brunette helplessly lay below her, not wanting to move an inch to further the mess.

"WHY ARE YOU ?!" Irene asked as she panickily tried to separate herself from Wendy's body. The more she tried to stand up, the more she failed at doing so because the water that's still on her body made her skin so slippery. The skin regimen she performed earlier during her shower didn't help her much either in this situation because her skin is practically softer and smoother than before. She just keeps on slipping and falling on top of Wendy.

Irene just wants to disappear off the face of the earth right there and then.

A couple more tries, and the lady chief finally managed to stand up. Thankfully, Wendy was respectful enough to close her eyes as Irene ran towards the bed and hastily covered herself with a blanket. She cursed under her breath when she realized that the blanket was the Baby Maker one and threw the poor cloth to Wendy, who was now trying to get up from the floor. The brunette was left with no other choice than to use the fabric and cover her self with it.

"OH GOD! YOU ARE SHOWING EVERYTHING! COVER IT UP, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!" she said to Wendy.

"I DON'T UNDERSTAND!" Wendy practically screamed as the brunette made sure that the blanket was secure enough to cover her whole being.

"Explain yourself, please," Irene said as she glared at Wendy. Her cheeks were getting another set of warm, red flushes as she grabbed another blanket from the bed.

"Explain myself?" Wendy incredulously asked.

"Yes, explain yourself!"

Irene could clearly see Wendy trying to calm herself down as she attempted to take deep breaths. The brunette's face was also quite red. "I went for a run, and I decided to take a shower. I thought there was no one here!"

"Oh, really? So you decided to take off all your clothes when you know you share this room with someone?? And what? You didn't even hear me?"

"I had my AirPods on!"

Oh. That makes a lot of sense.

"What are you even doing home?" Wendy continued. "You just jumped me out of nowhere? What's with that? What's with you going out of the bathroom , knowing that you share the room with someone, huh?"

Wendy was asking her the same questions. "I didn't mean to startle you. I couldn't find a towel to dry myself inside the bathroom! I had to run, and I ran into you!" she explained with hand gestures and all, not really sure if Wendy would actually believe her.

It's all the freaking towel's fault.

"Just... you know... Just go! Go take your shower!" she shooed the brunette away, not wanting to further the tension and embarrassment of being in the same room with her.

"Fine. Fine," Wendy surrendered and walked toward the bathroom. "Nice tattoo, by the way," she said as she slammed the door behind her.

Irene internally screamed as she face-planted herself on the bed.

----------------------------------------------------------

Irene was so tired and sleepy just a while ago, but that feeling is long gone now. She lies wide awake on the bed, staring blankly at the white ceiling of this big room.

This room that she shares with Wendy.

Wendy. Son Seungwan.

Wendy, her fake fiancée. Wendy, who looks dangerously good today with her new brown chestnut hair. Wendy, whom she saw crying because of her father. Wendy. Wendy. Wendy. Wendy.

Wendy, who saw her . Wendy, whom she saw .

Internally screaming at her helpless situation is becoming a habit. Now, she's wondering if this whole deal she roped herself and Wendy into is really worth the trouble. Should she just accept deportation? Should she leave her position at Reve Publishing?  Or should she seek out a new job in Seoul and embark on a fresh chapter in her life there?

The editor-in-chief let out a sigh and shook her head. Of course, it's all worth it. She's at the pinnacle of her career, and nothing or no one will force her to step down from the throne she's built. She needs to stay strong and not be swayed by anything that hinders her goals. She can't imagine anyone else managing the company but herself. Jennie Kim cannot be in the picture. The might be having the time of her life now that she's temporarily away, but once she pulls everything through, she'll be getting back what's hers.

Irene rose from her lying position and sat on the bed. Focus, Irene, she told herself.

Son Seungwan should just be another piece in this game, not some annoying distraction.

A knock was heard on the door. She was sure it wasn't Wendy because the brunette had just gone out for a "quick bite," as she had said. Unless she had forgotten something. Irene wasn't really eager to open the door if it was Wendy. She still felt embarrassed when thinking about their little accident earlier, and opening the door meant facing the brunette again in closer proximity. It would just bring up more inappropriate images in her head.

It was the first time Irene had ever hesitated so much about opening a simple door. The last time she did, it didn't end well.

Irene groaned, got up, and decided to swallow the uneasiness down . She hesitated to turn the knob at first but ultimately decided to just do it and avoid dragging this out way too much.

The door revealed Joy and Yeri.

Thank goodness.

"Unnie," Yeri faltered, clearly noticing the relief on her face. "Are you okay?"

"Uh, yeah. What brings you guys here?"

"Sooyoung-unnie and I are planning a night out, you know, hitting up a bar and all that fun stuff and . We'd love for you and Seungwan-unnie to join us. You gotta experience the Jeju nightlife. Gotta show you that island people have some jams too," Yeri said enthusiastically.

Irene eyed the two of them. They were all dressed up and ready for a night of partying. Partying in bars and clubs wasn't really Irene's scene. Personally, she thought it was just for young adults who had nothing to worry about but wasting money on alcohol, , and vices—things that left you feeling drained and unproductive the next day. Moreover, Irene's impression of bars was that they were crowded places with loud, deafening music, sweaty and smelly bodies dancing and bumping into each other, beer bottles scattered everywhere, and, of course, party drugs are surely present because they are what fuel these kids' energy, enabling them to keep up with the partying until the early morning.

Irene's preferred way to enjoy a party involves formal wear, softly lit spacious rooms, slow and classic music, and just enough wine or champagne to make her feel a bit tipsy. After that, she's ready to call it a night and get a good night's sleep because the next day is another busy day of doing business.

"She's right. I really want to bond with my best friend's fiancée. I haven't had the chance to properly get to know you yet," Joy chimed in. "I know you're older than me, but calling you 'unnie' seems weird because, you know, we're both not really used to the culture here, so I'm just gonna be casual with you, Irene. If you don't mind, of course," the tall girl smiled. It reminded Irene of warm summer sunshine.

"Oh, I don't mind, but I don't think I'm gonna be able to join—"

"Na-ah. The only correct answer is 'yes,'" Yeri cut her off. She was about to refuse going with them, but she forgot this is Yeri. You can hardly turn down whatever this kid says; that's what she had observed. She noticed Wendy has always had a soft spot for this kid and hardly ever says "no" whenever Yeri asks for something. The girl might be the true spoiled brat of the family. What Yeri wants, Yeri always gets.

"Unnie, you're coming with us. Where's Seungwannie?" Yeri had made it clear that she had no other choice but to come.

Irene mentally rolled her eyes. Of course, she couldn't show the girls that, because Yeri could literally get her evicted from Son's life, and she could kiss her precious job goodbye. She needed to stay on the good side of this girl. It looked like she would be partying tonight, whether she liked it or not. Irene immediately accepted the fact that this would be a long night and mentally noted to just sit in a corner of the bar and not get too drunk on whatever cheap beer they were serving there.

"Unnie?" Yeri asked again after not getting a response from her. "Where's Seungwannie?"

Oh. We're talking about Son Seungwan.

"She's, uh," the thought of a certain brunette made her cheeks flush once again. "She's not here. She said she was going to grab a quick bite."

"Oh. But no one's in the kitchen. Where did that spoiled go? It's late to go around the island on her own," Joy's eyebrow furrowed.

B-? Spoiled ? Inappropriate images of Wendy's that she had seen earlier came flashing to her mind.

"She's gonna be fine. Everyone in Udo practically knows her and the family. I'm just gonna text her to join us later," Yeri said, and Irene was thankful that it took her mind off something so indecent.

"Well, let's give Irene some time to prepare."

"Yeah, give me 15 minutes tops," Irene said with a forced smile. It's such a hassle to go out when she's already in the comfort of her nightdress, but maybe it's a better way to get rid of all the intrusive thoughts and uneasy feelings a certain someone has been causing her the whole damn day.

----------------------------------------------------------

From: Yerm Squirtle

Seungwanie, come to the bar! You know which one. I'm with Sooyoung-unnie, and I brought Irene-unnie with us. I invited Seulgi-unnie as well. I'm so happy to be able to bond with all my unnies! Dress nicely, and come quickly; don't be late! XOXO

Wendy choked on the ramen she was slurping as she read the text from Yeri. She had visited an old, authentic ramen shop she frequented in the neighborhood because she hadn't had dinner yet, thanks to her father's behavior. Plus, she wanted to take a breather and get away from the house, away from Irene, because that woman is driving her crazy.

"Seungwan-ah, are you all right?" inquired Mrs. Jang, the store owner, stationed behind the counter. The establishment was a quaint ramen stand where customers sat along the counter, watching the cook prepare their ramen right before their eyes. Wendy was just so glad that the Jang family chose to serve authentic Japanese ramen, as it was one of her ultimate comfort foods. The ajumma then inquired, "Your face looks red. Did you burn your tongue on the hot soup?"

"I'm okay. It's... It's just Yeri," she lied. It's the thought of Irene and what had happened earlier.

"Oh. What did Yerimie do this time? I still remember how Yeri annoyed the hell out of you when you were just little kids. Of course, you, as an unnie, always let it pass. You'd be annoyed at first, but you eventually let the little kid get her way," Mrs. Jang chuckled as she reminisced about her childhood with her beloved cousin.

She couldn't help but laugh when thinking about their past. She realized that things hadn't changed much since then. Even though she called Yeri out when she was really in the wrong these days, she admitted she still had a soft spot for her cousin and often gave in to Yeri's requests. It was just something she couldn't resist. Yeri wasn't just a cousin to her. She treated her like a little sister. Wendy had never had a sibling, so when Yeri was born, even as a child, Wendy remembered being overjoyed.

"It's nothing. Just Yerimie being Yerimie," she smiled at the lady. "I have to go, Mrs. Jang. How much is the food?" She proceeded to fish her wallet from her pocket.

"Oh no. It's on the house, Seungwan-ah. It's been a while since you came home. We're just glad you visited us here."

Wendy frowned but immediately thought of something. "Omo. Kamsahamnida." She bowed in appreciation. "But I can leave a tip in the tip jar, right?" She then proceeded to drop a 50,000 Korean Won bill into the jar beside her.

"That's way more than the price of the ramen, Seungwan-ah."

But I didn't pay for the food; it's just a tip. Accept it, Mrs. Jang, otherwise, this is my last visit here," she said, plastering a mischievous grin.

"Aigoo, you're just the same, you naughty kid," the ajumma turned around and began packing something out of Wendy's view. "Please take this, at least. I baked it earlier, and it's still warm. Share it with your fiancée. I bumped into Ms. Irene earlier with your mom and your halmoni at the city market. Irene-sshi noticed me struggling to choose flowers for our vase. She asked if there was a special occasion or a particular sentiment I was feeling today, as she thought that might help with my selection. I told her I was simply overjoyed that Minjeong got accepted into her dream university. She then recommended Gladiolus, a summer flower symbolizing strength and victory, and said it would be the perfect choice. She also mentioned that they're sometimes called the "flower of the Gladiators" and are commonly given to recent graduates and winners. We opted for the purple and pink ones, and the color combination was just perfect! It was truly beautiful.  Irene-sshi really helped me out, and it really made me happy. Minjeong thought they were lovely."

"Oh, really?" Wendy was actually speechless because she never knew Irene as a flower person. The way Mrs. Jang told the story made it sound like she was talking about a completely different person. Irene and flowers? Nah-ah. Irene and thorns and creepy vines maybe. How did she even come to know the meanings of flowers?

Minjeong, Mrs. Jang's daughter, came from the back door of the stall carrying a bunch of ingredients needed for the ramen.

"Minjeong-ah, there you are. I was just telling Seungwan-ah about Irene-sshi helping me out with the flowers."

"Right! Unnie, the flowers are really pretty! I was so happy when I saw them, and it made me even happier knowing the meaning behind those flowers!"

"Really? And you're really talking about Irene here, right?" Wendy had to clarify, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"Yeah, your fiancée. I saw her at the welcoming party. I didn't get the chance to say hi to you guys because the moment I saw her, I literally froze. She's that gorgeous! I don't even believe for a second that she's human. She's a literal goddess," Minjeong narrated with dreamy eyes, which caused her mom to laugh at her.

"Well, as silly as it may sound, I fully understand what Minjeong is saying. Irene-sshi has a beauty that is truly ethereal. You guys make a stunning couple. We're rooting for you two," Mrs. Jang expressed.

Oh. I really got lucky marrying a goddess, huh?

"Omo, I really don't know what to say about that, but... thank you, guys. I'll make sure Irene gets to taste these cookies, but I won't mention the 'she's so pretty, she looks like a goddess' part, as it might go to her head," Wendy let out a playful chuckle. However, she was genuinely intent on keeping these compliments from boosting Irene's already considerable ego.

What they were saying was undeniably true, though. Irene was truly beautiful. She didn't need to hear it from others; that was the face Wendy had seen every day for two years at work.

Especially when you see her literally face to face.

She shook her head to dispel the sudden hazy thoughts of Irene's earlier blushing and pretty face.

She coughed, not to clear but to clear her thoughts. "Alright, I have to go now. Thank you for the food, Mrs. Jang, Minjeong."

"Take care, Seungwan-ah."

"Take care, unnie. Fighting, SeungRene!" Minjeong said, striking a fighting stance.

"SeungRene?" Wendy was about to take a step away but gave Minjeong a puzzled look.

"Your ship name. That's how they do it for K-Pop idols. Fans combine the names of the two idols they are shipping."

"Aigoo, Minjeong-ah. That's the result of being on your phone too much. Go and get me some flour inside," her mom scolded. Minjeong scratched her head and did as she was told. "She got excited, mianhae. But everyone is really rooting for you two, so... SeungRene fighting!" Mrs. Jang said in tiny, making sure Minjeong wouldn't hear her silly chant.

Wendy smiled widely, bowed, and walked away.

"SeungRene..." she muttered. It was weird that she kind of liked the way it rolled perfectly on her tongue.

----------------------------------------------------------

Irene wants to get out of this place. Don't get her wrong; the place is far from what she imagined, and it's actually more decent than the usual bars they portray on TV. What she cannot stand is that Yeri has to invite the Seulgi girl as well.

Seulgi's agenda is still unclear to her. Does the girl want to get back with Wendy? Is she taking advantage of the fact that they are not married yet, and she still has a chance to make Wendy change her mind? Is she lurking around because she just wants to be friends with her fiancée? Or is she just here for Yeri, knowing that she's close to Wendy's family?

And why is this bothering Irene? Why does Seulgi get under her skin like this?

It's not like Irene is feeling jealous or worried that Seulgi might snatch her Seungwannie away, but... Wait, what am I even thinking? Of course, it's not jealousy. Pffft. I'm not jealous at all. Why would I be jealous? Wendy Son is just an employee to me, plain and simple. This is purely a business deal that needs to be sorted out. Nothing more, nothing less. Yeah, I'm definitely not jealous. The word just sounds so ridiculous. Eew. No way.

Yes, right. So... not that Irene is jealous, but because... because... because if Seulgi's motive is to win Wendy back, it could disrupt Irene's plan. Right. That's the one and only reason why Seulgi's presence bothers her so much. There's a chance that Wendy might actually reconsider and reunite with Seulgi, and Irene definitely doesn't want that. It can't happen. Maybe Wendy and Seulgi can reconsider their relationship once everything settles down, but for now, Irene needs to keep a close watch on Wendy. If Seulgi is brave enough to hang around her ex and her ex's fiancée, then Irene might need to up her game as well.

She took a sip of the draft beer that Joy got her. Joy and Yeri weren't even at this VIP table with her. The two were probably getting rowdy on the dance floor right now. She was left with Seulgi at the table, which put them in a very awkward position. All Seulgi did was throw awkward smiles whenever their eyes met across the table. It was getting on her nerves.

Aside from Seulgi's presence, what made her uneasy in her seat was the fact that Wendy hadn't arrived yet. No message, no call. What happened to being a doting fiancée? She had told herself that she would use this night out to relax and clear her head of all the thoughts about Wendy that had been bothering her, but all it did was create more Wendy-related thoughts in her head. Where the hell was she? Did she get home safely? Why wasn't she texting? Ugh. She's annoying. This is getting annoying. Everything is getting annoying.

She took the glass of beer again and brought it to her lips. This time, it wasn't just a sip. Irene chugged the brown, bubbly liquid, nearly emptying her glass. Surprisingly, this beer tasted quite good. Joy must've sensed that Irene wasn't the type to drink cheap stuff, so she specifically ordered the bar's specialty beer for her.

A figure hovered over her and took a seat beside her. It was Seulgi. The distance between them was neither too far nor too close, just enough to respect Irene's personal space. What does this girl want now?

"You must be bored to death," the brunette muttered in a low voice.

"Not exactly, but it's getting there," Irene replied shortly.

"Do you want a refill?" Seulgi asked, gesturing towards the almost-empty bottle in front of Irene. The lady chief contemplated for a moment; having a refill wouldn't hurt, right?

"Yeah, sure."

The brunette gestured for the waiter to come over and instructed, "Another glass of draft beer, please, and a shot of tequila." The waiter responded with a curt nod.

They fell into an awkward silence after Seulgi's unsuccessful attempts to initiate a decent conversation. Irene preferred it this way because she truly didn't know how to handle a conversation with a girlfriend's ex. Her girlfriend's ex to be specific. Ugh. Where is Wendy?

"How's your stay so far?" Seulgi asked.

"Oh, it's been great. I spent the whole day visiting the family businesses. There's a lot to see, and it's quite exhausting," Irene tried to provide a more detailed response, attempting to be polite.

Seulgi chuckled at her words. "I know what you mean. The family's involvement in the businesses can be intense. It can be draining, even for Seungwan. The Sons can be overwhelming sometimes."

Just when Irene thought she was doing well at hiding her annoyance for having a conversation with this girl, Seulgi had to chime in with her "Oh, I know everything about Seungwan and her family because I'm the ex," and it irritated Irene even more. She had to restrain herself from rolling her eyes because even though the place was dimly lit, she was pretty sure Seulgi would still be able to see the white of her eyes pretty clearly.

"I'm sorry. I know the last thing you probably want is to engage in a conversation with your fiancée's ex. I must be ruining your night by talking to you."

Seulgi must have sensed her sour mood. There was no way of hiding it anymore. But, of course, she wouldn't admit to it. She was determined to maintain a level of decency because the girl wasn't causing her any harm. Yet. At least, not yet. No harm had come her way so far.

"No, it's totally fine. I have nothing to do anyways. Yeri and Joy probably won't be back until they're drenched in sweat from dancing too much," she forced a chuckle. "And Wendy isn't here yet, so it's fine."

Seulgi nodded, and the drinks arrived. She picked up the glasses and handed Irene the beer. The brunette downed a shot of tequila as if it were water.

"Jeju is a little different than New York, huh?" the girl with monolid eyes asked, her lips, savoring the taste of the alcohol.

Irene nodded in response to her question. "Yeah, very different." A couple of girls walked by Seulgi, giggling and waving. Seulgi politely acknowledged them with a brief nod before turning her attention back to Irene. "Have you ever been to New York?" the lady chief inquired.

"No, that was always Seungwan's dream, not mine."

"You guys were pretty serious, huh?" Irene asked, attempting to learn more about her fiancée's past relationship.

Seulgi let out a sigh, as if she were contemplating whether to answer Irene's question. She signaled the same waiter to approach and whispered her order. The waiter nodded, and Seulgi turned back to Irene.

"Well, yeah. We dated throughout college. But... yeah... we were just kids," she chuckled, reminiscing about her past with Irene's fiancée.

"And you called it off because?" Irene inquired, growing bolder with her questions as she finished her second glass of beer. She felt she could handle drinking a couple more glasses of this cheap liquid without getting drunk. Her cheeks were getting warm, though, but maybe it was because to the black denim jacket Yeri had lent her.

She had actually borrowed the entire outfit from Yeri because all the dresses she had brought with her were either too formal or semi-formal. She had made an attempt, but the dresses were either too long or too elegant for a night out at a bar. Joy had told her that it wouldn't work and that she needed something more comfortable and casual to enjoy the night. She ended up getting dragged into Yeri's bedroom. There, she found a white tank top, wide-legged tattered jeans, Converse shoes, and a black denim jacket. Irene had always been somewhat puzzled by the fashion and outfit combinations people were wearing these days. Nevertheless, she was confident she would look good no matter what she wore.

*Their outfits for the night out are the outfits they wore for the Odd Recipe teaser*

"Hmmm. Well," Seulgi began, and Irene noted that she took a while to respond. "After we graduated, I... um... I proposed." Seulgi scratched her head sheepishly, as if recalling an embarrassing moment.

Oh.

The waiter returned, this time with a full bottle of tequila, some shot glasses, lemon slices, a saucer of salt, and a pitcher of Irene's draft beer. Irene's eyebrow furrowed at the amount of alcohol in front of her. Was Seulgi planning to get wasted tonight? The lady chief's stomach twisted just by looking at it.

"I was certain that we were pretty serious. I mean, we had talked about it. We wouldn't have spent four years together if we weren't... well, you know... eventually planning to tie the knot," Seulgi continued as she handed Irene her third glass of beer, which Irene mindlessly accepted.

Irene was aware that the alcohol was helpig Seulgi tell her story, so she patiently awaited the girl's next words.

"I thought we were ready to take it to the next level, you know. I proposed and offered my plan for a life here in Jeju, but..." Seulgi's voice faltered, as if she were recalling a painful memory she'd rather not remember.

"Wendy said no?"

Seulgi glanced at her and nodded. "Yeah, Seungwan said no."

"Why?"

"Well, she doesn't want to settle yet. She said she still has a dream to chase. She said that she doesn't want to confine herself to this small island; instead, she wants to go out there and touch the lives of people around the world by editing wonderful stories."

"Then she fled to New York, huh?"

"Yes, that's exactly what she did."

"You didn't support her dreams?"

"Of course, I did. I'd always support whatever makes her happy. That's why I let her go," Seulgi frowned as she defended herself.

"Why didn't you go with her to New York then?" Irene asked. She knew this conversation was beginning to feel like an interview, but she couldn't grasp why Seulgi had let Wendy go if she was so in love with her. That part didn't make sense.

"I've never been anywhere but here. Well, firstly, my lovely family is here. Second, I had just started my dancing and photography career here when that happened. My colleagues and I had built a small community back then for people who shared the same interests as us. And it wasn't limited to dancing and photography, we welcomed anyone pursuing their dreams in all forms of art—sculpture, visual arts, literature, music, you name it," Seulgi explained. The place was quite dark, but you could see the girl's face light up when talking about the things she loved. "My dream is to establish a school for these people and ensure it's accessible to those who can't afford to study their craft at big universities."

"Wow, a school for the arts. That's... impressive."

Irene was left speechless. She realized she didn't know much about this person at all. All she had been thinking about was Seulgi potentially disrupting her plans, seeing her as nothing more than an ex trying to steal her fiancée. It felt shallow of her to have that perspective. There was clearly more to this girl than being just a former flame. Seulgi's openness about her dreams made Irene look at the brunette in a new light.

"Yeah, thanks. Just have a few more papers to process, and soon we'll be having a groundbreaking ceremony for the land we purchased," Seulgi's eyes crinkled as she smiled.

"I don't know what to say. I guess congratulations then?" Irene extended her hand. Seulgi took it, and they exchanged a firm handshake. "How did you manage to accomplish all of this?"

"Well, my family is very supportive, and you know, connections. I took advantage of those connections. I'm not typically the type to take advantage of power, but I felt it was for the greater good, so yeah, I had to pull some strings," Seulgi poured a shot of tequila and downed it in one go.

Irene took another sip from her glass, her tongue already craving the taste of the beer she'd been enjoying since earlier.

"I guess the timing for us back then was so bad. We both had different plans for ourselves. Thinking about the proposal, I hadn't really thought it through. It felt kind of rushed. All I knew was that I loved her so much that I just wanted her for myself. I hadn't really considered what she wanted. I thought it would be that easy. That was so selfish of me," Seulgi continued, looking distant.

Irene could sense all the "What if..." questions swirling in Seulgi's mind. It was as if the girl had gotten lost in reliving that moment in her thoughts.

"My apologies for delving into our past relationship. We should be discussing yours," Seulgi said, as if she had been abruptly snapped back to reality, realizing she was conversing with Wendy's current partner.

"It's okay. I was the one who brought it up."

"Well, okay. But anyways, you're a lucky girl. Seungwan is amazing. She really is the best, which you obviously already know."

I know. But at the same time, I don't know yet. I wanna know more how amaz—-

Irene bit her lip hard in an attempt to stop whatever thoughts were swirling in her mind. This beer was a traitor, starting to make her think stupid, stupid things.

"Uh, yeah... She's... she's an amazing person," Irene managed to respond, sensing that Seulgi was anticipating an answer.
