Prompt: Bridesmaids for friends

Minnie and Shuhua's wedding was coming fast. While Minnie had a more laid back idea of the wedding Shuhua wanted it to be perfect. "So I'm thinking Minnie's bridesmaids wear pink dresses and mine wear matching purple dresses. And you will be paired off." Soojin just nodded. "So different dresses that match someone on Minnie's side?" Shuhua nodded smiling. "And since you're my maid of honor you automatically get paired off with Miyeon who's Minnie's!" Soojin nodded again. "So I need to have a meeting with her." Shuhua rolled her eyes playfully. "Unnie you don't need to make it sound like a business deal." Soojin shrugged. "It makes it easier to meet new people if I think of it as business." Shuhua hummed tapping her chin. "Let's have dinner together tomorrow. I'll have Minnie bring Miyeon with her." Soojin hummed agreeing. "That will be easier." Shuhua hugged the older woman. "Thank you for being apart of this. I really can't imagine a wedding that doesn't involve you in some way." Soojin smiled at her. "Remember when you used to say you were gonna marry me? I'm heartbroken you've moved on." She joked and ruffled her hair. "I'm just happy knowing Minnie takes such good care of you." Shuhua smiled and rolled her eyes. "I can take care of myself you know?" Soojin smirked. "Eating ramen every day for a month doesn't count." Shuhua crinkled her nose. 

Minnie was on the phone with Miyeon. "Yeah don't worry I told them you'd be joining us and Soojin is running late too." Miyeon sighed. "I'm still sorry. I stupid flat tire." Minnie chuckled. "And your hot neighbor changed it for you?" Miyeon made a face. "Yes and that's how I found out she's straight and learned from her boyfriend." Minnie clicked her tongue disappointed she'd already picked out their ship name. "It's okay you don't need her you're plenty pretty. And you're sweet. You can't cook but that's why you just find someone who can." Minnie leaned over pecking Shuhuas cheek. "Isn't that right baby." Shuhua puckered her lips a bit. "Mhm mhm one of the many many reasons I'm marrying you." Minnie smiled and nuzzled her nose. "What's your number one reason?" Shuhua hummed. "Well love of course but other than love?" Minnie hummed. "I love how you treat me when we're alone." Miyeon made a gagging noise. "Not while I'm on the phone with you!"

Miyeon arrived to the restaurant going to the entrance. She saw a beautiful woman in a red dress getting out of a car near the front. She quickly went ahead of her to the door opening it for her. "Here let me get that." The woman smiled her eyes nearly closing. "You're so sweet thank you!" She went ahead and looked in a mirror fixing her lipstick. Miyeon chuckled. "It's flawless already. I'm sure whoever you're here to meet will be stunned." The woman blushed a bit a shy smile on her face. "Such a sweet talker. Are you here to meet someone?" Miyeon nodded and smiled. "My friends are getting married but I've never met the other bridesmaid so they wanted me to. I hope she likes me we'll be together a lot." The woman grinned a bit. "So you're Miyeon then?" Miyeon's eyes widened and she bowed. "I'm so sorry I didn't realize it was you Soojin-shi" Soojin gently nudged her. "Don't bow you're older from what I hear I should be the one bowing. And don't worry about a good first impression you've already made one." She placed her hand on Miyeons bicep and motioned for her to walk. "Come on I had a meeting during lunch I'm very hungry."

The hostess showed the two to the table where Miyeon pulled out the chair for the other woman. "Thank you again Miyeon-shi." Miyeon smiled and sat down beside her. Shuhua looked between the two. "Oh you arrived together?" Soojin smiled. "Miyeon-shi saw me walking in and held the door for me. She's very gentlewomanly." Minnie high fived Miyeon. "That's my best friend I'm proud." Soojin chuckled and rolled her eyes playfully. "So have you two ordered?" Shuhua shook her head. "We we're waiting for you two. I'll call her back." Shuhua got the waitresses attention respectfully and everyone ordered.

They chatted over dinner Miyeon and Soojin hit it off almost immediately. "So I guess we'll need to go dress shopping together then?" Soojin nodded smiling. "I'll give you my number and you can text me about it." Shuhua hummed interrupting. "Soojin Unnie we need to leave we've got brunch with both of our parents in the morning. Did you want a ride home?" Soojin was about to answer but Miyeon answered first. "I'll take her. If that's okay with you of course." She looked at Soojin. The woman smiled looking into her eyes. "You don't have to you know." Miyeon smiled back. "I want to. It'd be nice to get to know who I'm walking the procession with." Soojin nodded and hugged Shuhua then Minnie. "Love you two seeya next week okay?" They nodded "We love you too. And you Miyeon." Shuhua scrunched her nose. "Eh I don't love Myeon." She said clearly joking as she went to hug her. "Wow Shuhua after all the times I've saved you from yourself." They all left. As she started to drive out of the lot looking around carefully Miyeon began to speak. "So tell me more about yourself?" Soojin blushed a bit. "Umm well I work as a choreographer and dance teacher. I'm kind of boring other than that I think. I've known Shuhua since highschool. I was the one put in charge of making sure she got settled in. She was... A handful but she grows on you." She chuckled softly. 

Miyeon smiled listening to her speaking fondly of their friend. "I'm sure you're not boring. It's not easy to think about interesting things about yourself when asked." Soojin leaned forward putting her phone with the gps to her house on the phone holder. "So what about you I want to learn more as well. Unless you are going for mysterious." She joked. Miyeon crinkled her nose playfully. "Oh yeah I'm super mysterious." Soojin lightly nudged her laughing. "Well I'm Miyeon you already know that. I went to college with Minnie we were in the same vocal class. She is way better than me for the record so no I will not be demonstrating. And my job well I'm just a regular old school teacher. I teach the first graders. They're very smart and very sweet." Soojin looked at her with a smile. "So you're good with kids then?" Miyeon nodded. "I guess I am. Or I hope I am anyway. The kids seem to like me." Soojin smiled more. "They're not the only ones." Miyeon glanced at her blushing a bit. "You should come have lunch with me this week if you're free. The kids would love you." Soojin hummed. "Would the principal be okay with that? A random woman in the school?" Miyeon laughed. "Well one you're not a random woman you're a dance teacher right? Also you could just be my lunch guest if you want and you wouldn't have to talk to the kids. But I'll have you know I will spend all day after getting questions about my 'Pretty lady friend.' They did the same thing when Minnie came except she was tall lady friend." Soojin laughed at that. "Are you saying I'm prettier than Minnie?" Miyeon did the zip motion on . "I choose not to incriminate myself. But You are more than pretty for the record." Soojin was the one to blush this time.

Miyeon parked and Soojin realized they were at her apartment. She wished they could keep talking but she didn't want to keep the woman to late as she was sure she was busy with teacher stuff. "Here." She gave Miyeon her phone. "Put your number in. And send yourself a text so you have mine. Also make sure you text me when you get home safe." Miyeon couldn't help but smile. She put her number in setting her contact as 'Myeon' and gave it back to her. "Let me walk you to your door?" Soojin smiled shyly. "If I didn't know any better I'd think we just went on a date." Miyeon got out and went to Soojins side opening the door for her. "We could go on a real one. Only if you want to that is." Soojin placed her hand on Miyeons bicep again as she found it was the most natural feeling thing to do and led the way to her door. "I would love to go on a date with you by the way." Miyeon blushed a bit and tried to hide her excitement. "Great! I will be paying I hope you know. And I'll plan it." Soojin chuckled thinking the older woman looked cute. Even with her suppressed excitement Miyeon couldn't hide the look in her eye.

They arrived at Soojin's door and the younger woman just stood there for a moment as if debating something. Miyeon opened to ask if everything was alright when Soojin kissed her cheek. Miyeons face turned bright red and she lost the ability to speak. On the outside she was frozen on the inside it was as if several fireworks were going off. She recovered and cleared . "Well have a good night. I will text you as soon as I'm home." Soojin chuckled softly and nodded opening the door. 

Soojin walked into her apartment her best friend and roommate Soyeon laying with her head in her girlfriends lap. Soyeon sat up and saw the look on Soojins face. "So you've got a date?" Soojin blushed a bit. "How'd you know?" Soyeon smirked. "I know you well enough by now don't you think?" Yuqi pointed out the window where they could see Miyeon dancing around like a dork. "And that woman who's totally your type looking like she won the lottery is a big hint too." Soojin blushed more but had a big smile. "She's so cute. She didn't even know who I was yet and held the door open for me. Who knew Minnie had such an amazing friend." She told them everything then went to take a shower. When she got back to her room she had a message from Miyeon. 'I got home safe and sound. Sleep well and I can't wait for our date I'll start planning it now.' Soojin smiled reading the message and sent back. 'Thank you again for everything and I can't wait either. But don't spend to much time thinking about it you're a busy woman you need your sleep.' She turned her phone off and went to sleep. 

Next Saturday came and Miyeon was waiting outside of Soojins apartment leaned against her car with a single flower in her hand. Soojin had told her she was almost ready and to wait outside. Suddenly she could see the other woman. The same red lipstick as before but in a white sundress with a cherry pattern. "This dress really suits you. I don't know why but cherries seem very fitting." She smiled looking at her. "You look beautiful." She held out the flower to her. Soojin took it blushing. "You look beautiful as well green suits you as well." She smiled looking at the light green sundress. "And thank you for the flower. A carnation?" Miyeon smiled and nodded. "I figured roses were to mainstream. And there's a better meaning behind this one anyway." She opened the door. "Shall we?" Soojin smiled and kissed her cheek before getting into the car. Miyeon got in the driver's seat with an excited grin. "Okay so. Our date we slash dress shopping time. I was thinking dresses first then we get to the fun stuff. Unless you're hungry already." Soojin smiled and took her hand. "We can do dresses first. Have you thought what kind you want?" Miyeon tapped her chin. "I was thinking I'd let you pick the style. I don't mind any." Soojin nodded giggling softly. "I'll pick something good I promise." Miyeon grinned at her. "I know you will I trust your judgement."

They arrived at a shop with nice dresses. The two walked in Soojin holding Miyeon's arm as usual. They went straight to the dress section. Soojin began to look at everything. As calm as she was Miyeon could see the look of excitement at all the different choices. She chuckled and began to flick through a few. "Pink and purple right?" Soojin nodded and held up a pair of matching dresses in pink and purple. "Look at these they would be cute." Miyeon held the purple one up to Soojin so she could see. She smiled widely. "This will be hard. Everything will look beautiful on you." Soojin blushed and lightly pushed her. "Be serious." Miyeon crinkled her nose still admiring her. "I am. You could pull off a potato sack I'm convinced. You're absolutely stunning." Soojin blushed more and more. "You're biased on that." Miyeon chuckled and held her hand. "Maybe I am but I think you like it that way." Soojin rolled her eyes playfully. "Okay okay Casanova. Focus we can flirt all you want later." Miyeon pouted but did as told. She was enjoying the fact that she could make the younger woman blush so much. 

Once they were done they went back out to the car Miyeon carried their dresses. "I'm telling you you're going to be so beautiful everyone's gonna try to dance with you. So I call dibs on at least the first and last dance." Soojin shook her head. "What if I don't want to dance with you?" She teased. Miyeon dramatically clutched her chest. "Oh no... My heart... It's breaking..." She pulled the door open for her. Soojin blushed a bit as someone looked at them. Miyeon got in and couldn't help but laughing as she also noticed someone staring at her. Her laugh was infectious and Soojin was soon also laughing. 

Once the two women calmed themselves Miyeon began to drive somewhere else. Soon they were at a secluded field where they could have some privacy. Soojin saw where something had already been set up. Miyeon had roped. friend into helping her set up a picnic for the two of them. She smiled charmingly as she helped Soojin out of the car. The younger woman looked at the picnic and pouted. "What's wrong? You don't like it? We can do something else it's not to late. I-" Soojin pulled Miyeon to her planting a kiss on her lips. "Stop it I love it. I just... No one's ever put this kind of effort into something for me. You're to good to be true. Are you even real?" Miyeon smiled. "I'm not that great I am clumsy I can't cook and I sleep talk." Soojin rolled her eyes smiling. "Still haven't heard a flaw. I'll cook for you whenever you want. Maybe that can be our next date." Miyeon hugged Soojin wrapping her arms around her waist. 

In the month before the wedding Soojin and Miyeon got closer and closer. But they still Hadn't told either of their friends. It was the night before the wedding during the bachelorette party when Miyeon was standing with Minnie. She glanced over to see Soojin with Shuhua across the room. Miyeon couldn't help but smile as she took a sip of her drink. "Are you nervous? I know how you are." Minnie laughed. "A little but I've never been so sure of something in my life. I'm so in love she makes me so happy." Minnie looked dreamily at Shuhua who had Soojin by the hands dancing clumsily. The two watched with grins that was until a man came up to Soojin. He could be seen obviously flirting with her placing his hand on her waist. She brushed his hand off and he looked confused. Miyeon couldn't hear what was happening but she was sure she wouldn't be happy about it. 

Soojin had spun the half drunk Shuhua when she felt a hand touch her back. She glanced to where Miyeon was and saw her before turning to the person confused. "Hello how can I help you?" The man smiled at her with a grin equivalent to a cat playing with a mouse. "Hey beautiful. I was across the room and I saw you and I just had to come tell you how breathtaking you are." Soojin could tell where this was going. Especially when he put his hand on her waist. She quickly removed his hand. "Sorry I'm not interested. I have a girlfriend." The man looked annoyed. "A girlfriend? Ah come on. That's dumb. You're to beautiful not to be with a man. You can dump her once we've been together you'll never want to go back." Shuhua got annoyed. "Go away she said she has a girlfriend!" He looked at her and smirked. "Are you the girlfriend? I bet I could satisfy you better." Soojin rolled her eyes. "Actually no. Her wife is the tall angry blonde with all the muscles coming you're way now." Miyeon and Minnie could be seen coming their way. Minnie looked mad but Miyeon looked like she wanted was going to explode. They had wanted to hide their relationship till after the wedding as to not distract from the events. But Miyeon couldn't help herself. The jealously and annoyance she felt mixed with the slight buzz of alcohol fueled her next actions. 

Miyeon stood between the man and Soojin. She pulled the younger woman to her their bodies pressed together. She looked deeply into her eyes before leaning in and kissing her. She walked her into the wall carefully holding her waist as she bit her lip. Soojin let out a soft moan blushing immediately. Miyeon broke the kiss but stayed close staring into her eyes. "I'm sorry." Soojin's hands had made their way to the older womans neck and she was her lip looking at her. "Don't apologize that was hot." Miyeon smiled pecking her lips a few times. "Just had to make sure no one else made a move on you." Soojin smiled but cupped her cheek. "You know I wouldn't go for them right?" Miyeon nodded. "I trust you. You just looked so uncomfortable and I hated every second I wasn't beside you helping." Soojin pulled Miyeon in to kiss her again. This time it was softer and sweeter. 

Minnie and Shuhua watched from a few feet away. "Told you." Shuhua leaned into Minnie's chest as she held her close. Minnie's arms wrapped around Shuhua her hands coming to rest on her hips. "I haven't seen Miyeon this happy in a while. I'm happy you were right... So how long before we get to attend their wedding?" Shuhua hummed thinking for a moment. "They'll be married by next Valentine's day." Minnie chuckled nodding. "I think you're right."

Note: I actually did some research on wedding traditions and I ended up not using it whoops. Oh well I still like how it went.
