"You know what's the first thing Areum did when they finished? She looked for you. Even when I told her that you'll come for dinner instead, she insisted that we stay at the auditorium hoping that you'd show."

When Jisoo came home, she was met with no life buzzing in her home, which unnerved her since that never happens. That panic soon turns into distress. It turns out that her family was greatly upset—Areum rejects coming downstairs while Jennie doesn't come to greet her, brooding in the kitchen. The lawyer called her by her name. Jisoo. And it lacked any affection. From there, she realized a grave mistake.

She doesn't mind that her own heart broke by the realization because two other hearts were in pieces because of her. Jisoo couldn't see Jennie in the eye when they were finally in one room. Her mind seems to stop for a moment. She thinks that Jennie will retreat to their bedroom in silence. But she was wrong. Jennie snapped towards her, like the brewing anger finally overflowed to the brim and only her emotions were consuming her entirely. Jisoo stands her ground—understanding her wife's position, while also expressing her reasons, even if it's a bit idiotic.
 
They were now arguing under the soft kitchen lights in whispers because waking up Areum was the last thing they wanted. And though it was quiet, it was still a shy explosive. Both stand across from the bar separating them. Jennie wants nothing to do with her. Jisoo wants to kiss her calmly and hold her until all fury dissipates.
