Nothing's Over
Description
You’ve been attending the Academy for as long as you can remember. Your unique power attracted the attention of the Commander, a faceless man that haunts your dreams at night. He pushed you ruthlessly until he realized your power had too many limitations and moved you from Class A to Class C. No one bullies you too much anymore after they found out that your best friend was Class A’s Yong Junhyung.
Your final year of high school is approaching, and there are rumors of a competition between the Academy’s rival school, the Institution. Everyone eighteen and over is eligible to compete, provided they pass the Academy’s survival course. And try as you might to stay out of trouble, trouble always finds you.
Foreword
The Academy is a boarding school for people with superpowers from grades K - 12 with a higher training class for those deemed useful to the Academy. The students are divided by grade and class:
Class A
Those with the most destructive powers are shuffled in Class A, where they learn to harness their power and channel it for useful things without harming others in the process. Hopefully. Usually these students are treated with more care and are shown more favoritism because of their powers. They wear a red badge on their school uniform.
Class B
The students with normal, common powers are in Class B. Class B is the largest class, consisting of most of the student body. No special treatment is shown for them. They wear a blue badge on their school uniform.
Class C
The students with ‘useless’ powers, usually called ‘entertainment powers.’ They range from sending bubbles from their fingers to perfect handwriting. Many of them are magicians and take up slight of hand to entertain others. They wear a yellow badge on their school uniform and are looked down upon by the other classes.
Characters
You - Class C
Lexiconicy - Ability to transform a written word into the actual object
[sub]Animation - ability to bring inanimate objects to life
You are a typical teenager, trying to make your way through life alive. You’re generally a nice person, a little bit blunt, a little bit sarcastic at times. You have a soft spot for cute things, despite your tough attitude. You won’t stand for crap, and hate to see people getting bullied. And no matter what you do, you’re a magnet for trouble. Your power of Animation is a new discovery for you, and luckily, the Commander hasn’t heard about it. Yet. You’re the class representative for Class C.
Sunggyu - Class A
Energy Manipulation - the ability to speed up or slow down molecules to essentially freeze or blow things up
He’s a little bit awkward, but he means well. Sunggyu is often referred to as a walking bomb because whenever he gets startled or nervous, he doesn’t control his powers as well as he should. He’s blown up a few chunks of the school because his friends thought it would be funny to scare him. He never really took notice of you until he saw you dancing with a teddy bear you animated.
Junhyung - Class A
Metal bending - the ability to control metal and shape or mold it to whatever the user desires
Resident badass of Class A, Junhyung is a trouble maker that doesn’t really care for the rules. He’s your best friend, simply because you two have known each other since you could walk. He blatantly hits on you all of the time, but you’ve always dismissed him as joking when maybe he’s not.
Supporting Characters
Dongwoo - Class B
Shapeshifting
One of Sunggyu’s friends. He’s quite the practical joker, smiling and laughing all the time, and the only one that can drag Hoya out of his shell.
Woohyun - Class B
Mind reading
Using his powers for evil, Woohyun makes life harder for everyone around him, or easier depending on their perspective. Sunggyu’s best friend, he’s Sunggyu’s voice of reason and his go to man whenever he wants advice on the unknown, like girls.
Hoya - Class A
Psychic Shockwaves - the ability to send invisible and destructive shockwaves with your mind
Hoya is reserved and calm until Dongwoo gets near him. He makes a few odd jokes here and there, but suffers from a constant headache because of his power, making him slightly irritable.
Sungyeol - Class B
Freerunning - defies the laws of physics
Sungyeol is slightly childish, but a genius. He likes to annoy people with his power by sliding past them. He’s nearly impossible to catch.
Myungsoo - Class B
Phasing - pass through solid objects
Sungyeol’s partner in crime. The two of them and Dongwoo are a force to be reckoned with when they get together and decide to pull a prank. Myungsoo has a bad habit of walking through doors without knocking and seeing things he shouldn’t. He’s the class representative for Class B.
Sungjong - Class A
Electricity manipulation
The cute representative of Class A. He’s easy to get along with until you get on his bad side. He spends his time with Woohyun, listening to gossip and static shocking his friends.
And various others that will make appearances here and there.
