lapslock“took you long enough, bae.”
irene smiles brightly, chest feeling light as she reaches the end of her centuries-long wait. she’s finally reached wendy’s timeline.
“your patience is greatly appreciated wendy-ssi.”
wendy chuckles, “technically we’ve known each other for, what, half a millennia now. i think it’s only fair to drop the formalities.”
irene grins cheekily. “would ‘my love’ be better suited then?”
wendy blushes but basks in the fuzzy feeling it leaves her. she nods, “much better mrs. son.”
irene laughs loudly, god has she missed this, missed the younger girl. “i believe it is customary to ask for my hand first before you get to call me your missus.”
“why, would you say yes?”
wendy her head and looks at the woman in front of her with the biggest grin the world has ever seen. she’s certain she’s the happiest girl right now. she can't believe irene actually waited and looked for her after all these years.
meet me in cafe velvet on the first day of august, 19 years into the second millennium. it will be built in this exact spot. i’ll be waiting for you.
irene props her chin on her right hand, feeling giddy (something she hasn’t felt in literal years) that she gets to be with wendy again, at long, long, last.
“why don’t you ask and find out, mrs. bae?”
