A secret arrangement . Pelican Inc Presents, "The Flame of Jah!"

"Oh King please spare me, I love someone else, but if you spare me I will be your servant." Said by the Shulamite.

"Why can't you be one of my women in waiting like the other women are? " Said by the King.

"Because my loyalty goes to Jehovah and I can't betray him." She answers and tears her shawl into pieces which mean that she is sorry in the Hebrew's endearments.

"I used to serve Jehovah too and he is a God who is exacting exclusive devotion."

"Yes I am aware of that! Many people talk about your marriage to the Cue." She implores and says it with authority and class.

"Do you feel that way?" He asks with his eyes right on her.

"Never mind me, I'm not the root problem ; just spare my husband's life." The Shullamite deplores and he listens, but he asks for a bargain.

"On One Condition." He blurts out fiercely.

The Shulamite jumps to her feet maybe this is what she was praying for, "And what is that O king?" She asks in a patient voice.

"That you promise to be one of my servants and that you follow my every command." He tells her sedately.

"I will , but I must obey God rather than men." She states to him.

"So you say, but I think you'll change." He regards her figuratively.

"Then you don't know me, O king. I am a Shulamite girl and everything I say is actually a prophecy so if you would like to be shown favor. You should watch your words."

"Are you defying me. You know that I know God's commands, I am still his man in waiting."

She stays quiet.

He gets his Guards, "Nephesh, Shephesh, you twins make sure she doesn't escape her interior rooms to see that man. Guard it!"

"Yes sir," they say.

What he doesn't know is that they are good men who serve the same God as the Shullamite Girl and they love her already. She had spunk and confidence.

"Whatever you say, boss." But Nephesh winks at his twin out of the corner of his eye.

The Shulamite sees him and she breathes a sigh of relief. Then she walks right by the king without even looking at him at all.

Her maids say to each other, "She is a smart woman she knows exactly when to make a exit."

The other maid says, "Maybe she will be good for the king."

She throws her hands up, "Don't make me fall in love with someone as foolish as him."

They reply, "No ma'am that would be a folly."
