quick lil Author’s Note explaining how this story came to be

Seven Nights Assassin

 

hello my lovely readers! how’re you doing? I am speechless rn ‘cause I’m super surprised by how excited you were when I posted the prologue for this story??? the amount of faith you have in me is astonishing uwu but also thank you, you’re really sweet and yeah… I just have no words to describe it haha <3

anyway…

the idea for this story actually came about several years ago with the idea/ scene of yong pulling a long silver pin out of her hair and then giving that pin to byul. it was only later that I decided yong would be royalty and byul would be some kind of assassin or warrior and they’d make some sort of deal between them. yeah, eventually the scene grew into a story but then I started writing other stories, and I never really had the time to write this one…

however!

when I saw MAMAMOO’s teaser for AYA, or more specifically when yong pulls that pin out of her hair and lets her hair fall down her back, I knew it was time to write this story ‘cause my mind was just completely blown, it was exactly what I had imagined for this story and yupyupyup that’s why you got Seven Nights Assassin, it’s also why I wrote this so quickly… <3

Everything was beautifully written, how you managed to write and narrate everything in a short span of time is incredible. Your very good with your words, I felt like I was reading poetry. Chapter 2: okay, so: you know how excited i was when you uploaded the prologue, so my expectations were high, but have you ever let me down? no. the actual chapter was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. i can't lie and i'll say that i'm a little sad that it's only a chapter long (even though it's almost 12k words lol) and we don't know what happens next in the story... open endings are- yeah :) hella :) nice :) (i'm just being dramatic, don't mind me haha).

now, on the content of the chapter: 7 years are long. i bet Yong was frustrated while waiting for her savior to appear. yes, i get it, Byul is in a difficult position, but ma'am if i were Yong i would have strangled her if she refused one more time lolol. IT WAS FRUSTRATING OKAY?! *breathes in, breathes out* once again, loved the development of the characters: it was very nice seeing Yong growing through Byul's eyes *heartu* thank god Byul arrived before it was too late and saved her from 1. an actual death. and 2. his dad. i kinda want to curse cuz her dad was- i'll stop right there :)
