Could have told me Sooner. (Uruha) One shot

I swear, he's been acting so weird around me now! Look! Annika, look! He looks completely comfortable right there!" you pointed at Uruha.

"Akiye, calm down. He might hear you. But… if he's acting weird, why don’t you go ask." your friend Annika suggested as you looked down at your shoes.

"...I haven't really thought of that." you blurred out itching your head; Annika rolled her eyes and gently slapped the side of your shoulders.

"Of course you haven't… Now go." She gestured a ‘shoo away’

"Yeah, alright then! ...Hey, hold on…wait a second --" Annika had pushed you away too quickly for you to answer. Almost tripping you caught yourself and regained balance; you twisted your body at her and stuck your tongue at her.

"Sheesh, be that way you meanie…" You murmured, dusting yourself off and made your way towards the table where the boys were at.

Akiye was confused. (You)

You sauntered to a boy, who was talking with his friends. The second his eyes fell on you, he froze up.

"Uruha. Can I ask you something?" You asked, standing next to him, as he slowly scooted away a few inches from you creating a huge space. The boy held a blush, and then began to say something.

"Y -- Yes?" he asked, stuttering.
You raised an eyebrow. "Hey, You alright? You're face is all red...! Are you sick?" you asked, making Uruha blush more.

"N – N-No, what are you talking about? I'm perfectly fine, really. What do you need?" He asked, rubbing his arms softly. Once again, you fiddled with your fingers and stared down upon your shoes and started to explain your reason.

"To me... you've been acting weird lately. What’s up? I mean... nothing's wrong, right?" You asked.

Confused about the way Uruha was acting. "So, as a friend, I'm really worried. Plus, I'm curious, you can talk to me about anything, and --" 

“Akiye…” Reita interrupted you.

You turned to Reita whom you met way before meeting the whole crew of the Gazette. Reita was like your older brother to you, whom you always asked for help when coming to ‘boy’ situations, as he did the same with his ‘girl’ situations. He liked you as a little sister and protected as one also. So basically you both knew each other closely than anyone else, well… when it came to girl and guy friend relationships.

"Yes Reita-kun?" you asked.

"Uruha left already" he said, with a smirk, he pointed out the door.

You looked besides Ruki, where Uruha rightfully was at first. The seat was now nothing but emptiness. You looked around the area from where he might have gone.

"What?! Where'd he go?!" You asked, half worried. Reita only shrugged, “Like I said he probably went out” looking out the door. You gave him a ‘noooo you think?’ look and headed towards the door.

"I heard Uruha say he needed some air, and to wash his face. I don’t know, but he looked pretty heated up after you came to our table." he replied drinking his shot glass.

You gasped, dramatically. "He was angry at me?!" she asked. Reita gave you with an 'Are-You-Serious?' look on his face.

"Uhm.. no. I don’t think he was angry. He was just something else." he said then shrugged.

Reita’s POV

Truth was, I already knew, Uruha was heating up because of Akiye. She thinks; he's angry with her… funny thought… his face is the only thing heating up, because he really likes Akiye. Man, talk about confusion with love. I already knew from the first day I introduced him to Akiye, he’d fall for her. I mean, she’s cute and all but I only see her as just a friend. Once I found out, Uruha begged me not to tell her.

[Flash back]

“Reita, where are we going? I’m freaking tired and my feet hurt” Uruha complained to me as he walked out in the streets of Tokyo.

“Hey can you stop complaining already? And I’ve already told you! We’re going to meet a friend of mine.” I repeated myself for like the 20th time.

“Well then why do I have to come?” he asked in a tired voice, “Because I need you to come with me to get our drafts done after we meet up with my small friend who’s going to help us, plus I think you and my friend will get along with each other very well.” I simply answered.

“Some friend…” he mumbled. I smiled, “That friend is very special to me, trust me you’ll get along”

We came across a park area not too far from our recording studio, from there I saw a small figure sitting on the swings, right away I knew it was her, I called out her name, “Akiye!” I waved.

“Akiye?” Uruha questioned. “Isn’t that a girl’s name?” I turned my head and scrunched my brows, giving him a‘Duhh’ expression. “Uh duhhh! , what else does that name fall into the category of gender names?!” I shook my head at his dumbness. “Akiye!” I yelled once more to get her attention.

Uruha’s POV

“Akiye!” Reita shouted once more, “You didn’t tell me it was a girl…” I complained. He turned his head back at me; “You never asked…” he smiled. As the small figure heard Reita’s calling she twisted her head towards his attention, long strands of hair gracefully flowed into the air, her hair was a rich shade of ____ (your hair color). It flowed in waves to adorn her glowing, porcelain-like skin. Her eyes, framed by long lashes, were a bright; her _____ (eye color) seemed to brighten the world. A straight nose, full lips - she seemed the picture of perfection. Had she smiled, the world would sigh with contentment. Had she laughed, the world would laugh with her. And had she wept, the whole world would want to comfort her. ‘Doki Doki…Doki Doki…’ my heart went, as she had ran towards us and screamed out Reita’s name.

“Reita!” she happily hugged tightly as he hugged back with the same amount of strength. “Akiye! It’s been too long!” Reita commented as he nodded her head in agreement, “Oh Akiye, I would like you to meet me other band member, Uruha!” Reita introduced me to the beautiful human figure that had the image of an angel. Perfection…

“Uh…I-I-I’m Uruha, nice t-to meet you!” I shyly greeted bowing down. Her soft giggle had even , “The pleasure is all mine, really.” She bowed back. “I’m Akiye! By the way” she smiled.

‘Doki…Doki’ my heart went again. It’s funny; I never really believed love at first sight, but today…By that time, I knew I fell in love instantly.

[Fast Forward]

Reita’s POV

Seeing at it is, Uruha and Akiye were getting along very well, maybe too well. As all three of us hung out, while Akiye revised our drafts of our next song productions, we had good laughs and drinks. As I noticed, there was a change in Uruha’s tone and attitude towards Akiye-chan. ‘Something’s fishy is going on’ I thought. Looking at the time it was noon, meaning Akiye needed to go somewhere at her next meeting area.

“So this is D?” I heard Akiye asked Uruha, “No, this finger goes there. Yeah that’s it!” Uruha’s voice had came in, I slightly opened the door seeing Akiye holding onto Uruha’s guitar as his hands touch her fingers on the frets, teaching her each notes one by one. He showed so much happiness in his smiles that was odd.

“Ano, Akiye-chan, its times up” I popped my head through the door half scaring them. Uruha quickly tried to scoot away from her so it didn’t seem like he was close to her… ha but too bad he’s too late I thought.

“Arigato Reita-kun. Okay, well I’ll see you guys later!” she greeted good bye. “No thank you Akiye for helping us!” I correct her. Uruha had shyly bowed goodbye and smiled.

“Oh and Uruha, thanks for today, it was fun!” she thanked him.

“Ano, anytime…” he offered. As the door shut I turned my head towards him.

“Hey how come when I asked you to teach me you refuse but to her you instantly said yes?” I questioned and grinned half scaring him seeming that I had just found out his secret. Which I have… lol

“Ano what are you talking about?” he pretended not knowing, rolling my eyes I knocked on his head gently.

“You like Akiye don’t you?” I laughed, “It’s totally obvious, don’t hide it now.”

He blushed into a million shades of red forming on his cheeks. “I-Is it really t-that obvious?” he asked.

“mmhmm” I replied back, looking through my drafts and crossing out things from the notes.

“Reita!” he grabbed both my shoulders. “Please don’t! Don’t tell her!” he begged.

“And, what if I don’t?” I threatened. “First of all you didn’t even consider wanting to like my ‘friend’ when we were meeting Akiye-chan”

“Ano, but that was before I found out she was a girl!” he complained. “A beautiful one…” he muttered the last sentence.

“Fine” I sighed. I was definitely having too much fun with Uruha’s love traction. “See I told you two would get along!”

“Shut up!” Uruha yelled back.

[End of Flashback]

"Where can I go to find him?" Akiye asked. “Hhhmmmm, maybe in the back of the small courtyard, or maybe near the boy's bathroom." I suggested said.

"Ah, eewwww, I'm not going in there!” she complained, “At least, can you check for me?” he asked in a begging voice. I went inside and called out his name but received no answer,

“Tough luck, he ain’t there…” I said shrugging.

“Then I'm definitely checking the courtyard! Thanks Rei!" Akiye waved, running out the room.

I rolled my eyes, and heaving a sigh. 'Akiye, Akiye...' I thought, “If only you knew…” I quietly murmured. Walking back to my table where the others sat.

Akiye’s POV

"Uruha?!" you called out, bursting out the courtyard.

Uruha was at the far end of the hall, next to the huge water fountain. It looked as if he just drank some water from his water bottle and slashed water onto his burning cheeks from before. Seeing that strands of his hair was wet and all.

"A- Akiye?!" Uruha shouted, blushing. The redness from his cheeks had yet again colored his face.

"Hey! I need to ask you something!" you cried, running towards him. Uruha had stood there frozen. "Yes?" he asked. Before answering him, your kneeled down half way catching your breath then fixing your hair away from your face and slightly gave a glare.

"You've been acting so weird lately! Why?" you said getting extremely annoyed now. "What's the matter?! Are you angry at me?! Depressed about something?! What? Tell me!" you begged.

The confusion is still there. The wind blew gently between us as silence took the atmosphere for 2 minutes.

"Nothing’s wrong. I'm not angry, or depressed." Uruha replied.

"Are you lying to me right now?" you asked.

"No." Uruha lied.

"Liar! I know you're lying! Spit the truth out, or else!! I know where you live and I’ll bang on the door until you answer" you threatened.

"Fine, fine! Want me to tell you then?" Uruha asked, after chuckling a bit. You nodded, as you crossed her arms. A childish pout formed on your mouth, making him chuckle once more.

"Well... I've known you for a long time, and we've been great friends...and…" he started. "Yeah? And?" You asked.

"Well...Y'know, you're an awesome person. And I really like the way you are... and..."

"... anytime noow..." you put your hands on your hips and tapped your foot impatiently.

"....I was just thinking.. if you'd like to be.. y'know.."

"No, I don't know." you interrupted. He rolled his eyes. "If... you'dliketobemygirlfriend." he finished in such a fast speech.

“Eh?” you asked in confusion, “Sorry didn’t catch that last part” you smiled awkwardly. Uruha, taking a deep sigh. Instead of repeating himself, we walked up towards you and gently planted a soft kiss onto your lips. You froze up, blushing. He slowly took a step back blushing. “That…” he lid up a small crooked smile.

"Wha -- Really? -- Why -- But --!" you stuttered, burning up.

"So... is that a yes?" Uruha asked. You couldn’t help but shed a tear, as Uruha noticed your tear streaming down your cheeks, he quickly assured his arms on your shoulders, “Oh no! Akiye?! I’m sorry! I didn’t know it would…” he paused. “I’m sorry, you don’t have to love me back, I’d understand if you di-”

You hugged Uruha by the neck, "Baka! … Baka!" your cried, “Could have told me sooner!”

“Akiye?”

“So this is why you’ve been acting weird…” you whispered, slowly, you raised your tippy toes and elevated yourself pecking a soft kiss on his lips. At first he hesitated, but he then calmly responded with a kiss as much passion as you did, leaning in and pulling you closer, he gently caresses your waist, and s into your shirt then out. As you guys remained like that for five minutes you both broke apart for air.

“So will you go out with me?” he leaned in, laying his head onto yours. “Didn’t this explain anything?” your teased. You both giggled and leaned in for another kiss.

“AWWWW!” You both heard from the hall way, quickly breaking apart, there you both saw Reita leaning onto the wall sideways as the rest of the band mates came out with scary grins on their faces.

“Finally! Uruha had the guts!” Aoi teased. “Oi! Congrats Uruha” Kai shouted. “Our Uruha finally became a man!” Ruki added. Reita shrugged at us and winked at Uruha, “Happy that I kept your secret till this day?” he exclaimed. You looked back at Uruha with a confused expression, and then glanced back at Reita.

“So you knew all this time?!” you asked with such surprise. He nodded and shrugged once more, “Can’t blame me” he grinned. Shaking your head, you looked back at Uruha, “Baka, I hate you now…” you said, smiling.

“Aw, don’t be that way” he protested, “I love you.” he said, leaning in; the kiss was filled with sweet sensation of happiness. “I love you too” you replied.
