Ever since she was a young women, 
she has known herself to be one of inner contentment. 
This uncanny ability to glide along the night sky, 
Forming stars with her every step.
With a trace of mortal fingers, she showed them 
Her will. 
Constellations upon constellations 
until they found her dancing in delight. 
Her light a beacon on a moonless night on land and sea. 
Her gaze rekindling the need to be found. 
Her brilliance invaluable by immortals and morals alike. 
Star of the North is what she is named 
But she knows herself to be the 
One Within.
As Selene lays her body to rest under linens made of tiny threads of stardust for her monthly retreat, she sparkles bright in her place. 
Her blue light caressing the skin of mortal wanderers, 
"The One Within will always create a way home."
She whispers.
