Finally

At Last (a oneshot)

"Omo, my son looks so handsome." Jaejoong's mother said smiling at her youngest's reflection on the mirror.

Jae glanced up at his mother and smiled. Turning around, he took her hands in his and whispered, "Thanks eomma." as he kissed his mother's hands, the exact same hands that guided him on his first steps, the exact same hands that took care of him as a child and even now that he has become an adult. "Thank you for knowing that this is what I want. You have made my dreams come true eomma." He said tearing up as he looked up at his mother who looked lovely in her flowing peach hued chiffon dress making her look much younger in his eyes.

"Oh my boy," Jaejoong's mother said as she began to caress his cheek with her hand. "I'm just happy that you're finally happy.. You have gone through so much pain in your life. I'm just sorry that eomma couldn't protect you from all the pain this world has given you." She said as she brushed away the tears that escaped Jae's eyes.

"Eomma, please don't say that. You and appa, you have done more than I could ever ask for. You have taken me in, given me a home, given me all the love a son could ever ask for. And today, you've given me the most precious gift of all. I don't know how I can ever thank you for giving us your blessing eomma." Jaejoong whispered as he buried his face in his mother's neck, choking on his words of gratitude to the woman who loved him like her own biological son.

"Aish, you keep this up and you'll both be a mess before the wedding." Jaejoong's 8th sister said at the two when she saw them crying in front of the mirror as she entered the room.

Jae couldn't help but chuckle at the youngest sister. Reaching out his arm, he enveloped both women in a hug before pulling back and giving them both a happy smile.

"Aigoo, look at your tux, it's all crumpled now." Jae's mom said immediately fixing Jae's tux.

"Here, let me fix your tux Jae." Jae's sister said as she began to smooth out the wrinkles on the back and his mom began to fix his necktie.

"So, how do I look?" Jae asked when the two women finished fussing over him.

Jae's noona took a step back and looked at her baby brother who effortlessly glowed in his two button white tuxedo, with an accented pearl white windsor tie under a double ed vest, his hair dyed a medium ashbrown with flecks of blonde that brought out the color of his eyes. But Jae's best accent of the day came from his smile that just glowed of love and happiness and for a moment, his sister remained speechless at the image before him. Jae looked, simply loved.

"You look like the most handsome boy on earth." Jae's mom answered and Jae laughed, raising his hand to cover his mouth just like he has done hundreds of thousands of times before.

Jae's sister smiled. Some things just never change, she thought to herself.

Suddenly a ruckus began to erupt outside the door when a head popped out from behind the, a hand covering his eyes with an unmistakable dolphinboy underneath. "Is it safe to come in?" It squeaked.

Jae's sister laugh. "Come in you dummy." She called out.

"Why are you covering your eyes Junsu?" Jae asked as Junsu came in the room only to yelp in surprise when he tripped on the carpet only to bump into the couch and landing on his fortunately firm duck .

"Yah hyung, I don't want to take chances ok? It took forever to even have this wedding. I'm not going to be the cause of why it might not even happen." Junsu answered as he rubbed his .

Giggling at his answer, Jaejoong's mother took pity on the dolphin and took his hand saying, "Junsu-yah, that only works if you're the groom." She said with a smile as she patted the younger boy's cheek.

A look of realization dawned on Junsu's face as he looked at Jaejoong's eomma with an impish grin. "Oooh." Was all he could think of to say.

"So, was there a reason you came barging in here Junggu?" Jae asked the dolphin as he dabbed at the sheen on his forehead with a tissue.

Junsu looked at him blankly for a moment and then exclaimed, "Oh yeah! Yoochunnie sent me to say that the ceremony is about to start." He said looking pleased at himself for remembering what he was supposed to be there for.

Jae could only chuckle at as he watched his reflection from the mirror. Some things just never change.

"Omo, come now Jaejoong. We musn't keep them waiting." Jae's mom said as she grabbed the bouquet off the table behind her and gave it to Jae who suddenly looked nervous.

"Eomma," Jae whispered as he grabbed his mother's hand.

Jae's mom turned to look at her son. Smiling lovingly at her youngest offspring, she cupped her hand against Jaejoong's cheek and said, "Look at my handsome boy all grown up. I just wish your father was here to see you." She said, her own eyes tearing.

"I love you eomma." Jaejoong said as he leaned into her palm then turned his face to kiss her hand.

"Come on hyung!" Junsu said as the 8th sister ushered him out of the room.

Taking his mother's arm around his, Jae opened the door as music began to fill the tiny chapel.

---------------------------------------

"Are you really sure this is what you want boy?" Yunho's father asked for the umpteenth time that day.

"Appa, would you stop it!" Jihye said as she tried to fix the bowtie on her father who couldn't stop fidgeting.

Yunho only smiled at his father who seemed more nervous than he was. "You know my answer to that appa." He said as he walked over to his father and put his hands on the man's shoulders, the shoulders that used to carry him when he was a child, the shoulders that he cried on when the group broke up, the shoulders that he leaned on when he tried to pick up the pieces. Looking at his father's reflection in the mirror who was wearing the same black tux with a double ed vest and a pearl red windsor tie as himself, he said, "I know that this isn't what you dreamed for me but thank you for letting me be happy. Thank you for loving me enough so I can make my dreams come true."

Jihye stepped back as she grabbed a tissue from the side table and dabbed at the tears that threatened to ruin her mascara as Yunho's father turned and gave his only son a bear hug. "You deserve it son." He said as Yunho wrapped his arms around his father's back and squeezed.

"Hyung!!!" Changmin shouted as he opened the door only to be embarrassed at intruding at what seemed to be quite an emotional moment between father and son.

Yunho's father pulled back to look at his son then patted his cheek before turning back to his daughter and asked her again to fix his tie.

"I'm sorry hyung." Changmin said sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck as he walked up to Yunho who began to fix his own tux.

"It's okay Min." Yunho said slapping his dongsaeng on the back.

They just stood there the pair of them not really saying anything for a while. That was certainly something about their relationship that Yunho loved. Changmin just seemed to know how he felt at any given moment.

Yunho looked at Changmin and grinned. "I'm getting married today man!" He said slapping Changmin on the back.

"You look like an idiot." Changmin said looking at his hyung shaking his head at the infectious grin that spread on Yunho's face.

"Well, by the end of this morning, I'm going to be a married idiot!" He said laughing.

"That you will." Aquiescened the evil maknae. Some things just never change.

A knock on the door made the boys turn to see Yoochun come in looking at the pair with a similar grin on his face. "It's time boys." He said.

With a nod Yunho slapped Changmin's shoulder again and said, "This is it."

"Yeah." Changmin answered and was about to turn around when suddenly he said, "Hey hyung."

Yunho turned to look at his dongsaeng and said, "Yeah?"

"I... I'm really happy for the two of you." Changmin said before turning around and walking out the door.

p <> Yunho looked at his dongsaeng leave the room and smiled. He knew that among them Changmin had the hardest time when the breakup happened and he certainly took it the hardest when he and Jaejoong got back together. It took Jae quite a while to get back to the maknae's good graces but soulfighters or not, Min loved Jaejoong just as much as he loved Yunho. It didn't take long before they were all hanging out in Jaejoong's kitchen just like old times waiting for Jaejoong's kimchi jiggae to cook.

"Oppa, it's time to go." Jihye told her older brother who looked at her and smiled.

"You go on ahead with appa. I'll be following soon." He said looking at his dad with a smile.

Jihye reached up to press a kiss on her brother's cheek then grabbed her father's hand. "Come on appa, let's you and me practice you walking me down the aisle." She said to her father who blanched then looked like he was about to throw up. She then turned to her older brother and gave him a snarky grin before ushering her father out the door.

Yunho grinned. Some things never change.

-------------------------------------------

It was a lovely spring morning with the scent of cherry blossoms in bloom as Yunho watched the man he loved walk down the aisle towards him. The tiny chapel wasn't full but everyone they wanted to be there were. Jae's mother and all of his sisters with their husbands and kids, Yunho's parents and his sister, the three other young men who were as important to Yunho as they were to Jaejoong and a smattering of few friends in and outside of the industry.

But as much as their presence that morning made Yunho happy, none could make his heart feel so full like it would burst than the gorgeous man walking towards him. Some things just never change.

When the music indicated Jae's cue to start walking down the aisle, his heart felt like it would jump out of his chest. He has toured the world for various concerts, having done it with s and even alone but none of those times rivaled the feeling of nervousness that he was feeling at that exact moment.

As the opening strains of Beyonce's At Last began to play, Jae took a deep breath as the doors opened into the great hall. And as soon as he locked eyes with the man at the end of the aisle, everything just melted away and it took everything in him not to go running down the aisle into his arms.

And so, being the performer that he is, he allowed himself to enjoy the anticipation of waiting to finally be with the man he loves. Smiling shyly at their family and friends who came to share in their special day, he paused when he got to his mom and gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek before turning as Yunho tapped him on the shoulder and offered him his hand.

Easing his hand into Yunho's, Jae looked up at Yunho with so much love that he couldn't help but giggle when he heard Yoochun sniffle as he saw Changmin roll his eyes before passing him a tissue. Some things just never change.

Squeezing Jae's hand, Yunho laced his fingers through his and led him to the center aisle. Leaning towards Jae's ear, Yunho whispered, "Are you sure about this?" Before pulling back and looking at his eyes with a look that almost took his breath away. Some things just never change.

Jae smiled and leaned into Yunho's ear and whispered, "I've never been more sure about anything else." He answered as his eyes held a promise of a wonderful future together with lots of love, laughter, fighting, make-up , and dare he hope, maybe even kids.

Yunho squeezed Jae's hand resisting the urge to kiss the man he loves before the priest could even declare them married. Yes, this was indeed a happy day he thought to himslef as the last strains of the song drifted to a close.

"For you are mine... at last."
