‘SLAAAPPPP’

A loud and painful slap landed on Sandara Park’s cheeks causing her to wince in pain. These came from the hands of a very angry Suzy.

“HE IS NEVER GOING TO LIKE SOMEBODY LIKE YOU!!!”

Everybody present at the gym could clearly see and hear Suzy shouting. Simply because the nerd Dara likes Suzy’s handsome boyfriend, Kwon Jiyong. It was never a question that a lot of girls are attracted to Jiyong because he really was one of the hottest guys at school.

Nobody at that place tried to stop Suzy since they were all scared. Suzy is also one of the most popular girls and they didn’t want to be bullied by her. She was one hell of a brat.

“Hey, what’s wrong?”Jiyong told Suzy in a very caring voice, upon arriving at the gym. He was with Choi Seunghyun. They just came from basketball practice and was about to fetch Suzy when they heard the commotion inside the gym.

All of them are students at Seoul International High, a school for the elite kids. Well, Dara wasn’t one of the elite kids. She got her scholarship from Lee Minho’s father, Lee Soo Man. Dara’s father worked for Minho’s father for a long time before he died protecting Lee Soo Man in an attempted kidnapping case 2 years ago. Dara’s mother died when she was still a baby, thus, leaving her as an orphan.

Since Dara and Minho were also childhood bestriends, it was easy for Lee Soo Man to take Dara under his care and become part of his family. Dara was taken in by the Lee family immediately, no questions asked.

Dara instantly became close to the family since she had a very good attitude. Even Lee Soo Man’s other son, Lee Seungri, adored her so much as his noona. Minho and Seungri were the only children of the Lee family. Their mother passed away when they were young because of sickness.

Dara’s distant relatives did not want to adopt her since they also didn’t have the financial capacity to do it.

“Tell her Jiyong, tell her!” An angry Suzy asking Jiyong to tell Dara that he won’t fall for someone like her.

Seunghyun was about to restrain her but Minho came running for Dara.

“Stop it Suzy! Shut your girlfriend up man!” Minho said yelling and glaring at the two. He cupped Dara’s cheeks and checked her face. Her left cheek was so red and already stinging. “Are you okay?”

“Don’t worry. I’m okay,” answered the very flustered Dara while she was shaking her head.

Suzy was still bugging Jiyong to tell Dara what she wants. It was already a very embarrassing situation for him and he was so disappointed with his girlfriend’s behavior.

“I’m sorry Dara. Please let us just forget about this.” Jiyong was begging.

He tugged his girlfriend outside the gym to the parking lot leaving Minho, Seunghyun and Dara. He opened his car on the passenger’s side and pushed Suzy in. He went around his car and entered the driver’s side.

“Why do you have to do that?” Jiyong was very annoyed.

“Haven’t you heard? That nerd likes you.”

“Is that a reason why you slapped her?”

“Don’t tell me you like her too Jiyong!”

“No I don’t but that is never a reason for hurting anybody. You are being unreasonable.”

“Jiyong, are we fighting because of her?”

“It’s not because of her. It’s because of you being a brat. What we have is over. Let’s break-up.”

“What?”

“You’ve always been very unreasonable. I can’t take it anymore.”

“Fine Jiyong! Have it your way! Let’s break-up. You’re going to regret this. I’d have anybody as your replacement. Everybody wants me.”

“Go ahead. Do what you want.”

Suzy stepped out of the car and slammed the door. Jiyong was left behind massaging his head.
