when the lights go out
Description
AU in which Donghae is a stripper hired by Hyukjae’s friends for his bachelor party. Hyukjae can’t even remember his bride-to-be’s face – it’s a marriage of convenience anyway – and if he goes to sleep that night in a stranger’s arms and dreams of another life, it probably isn’t his fault. There’s just something about those brown eyes and warm hands that enraptures Hyukjae in a way he has never been.
Foreword
“D’you want to sleep with me?” Donghae feels the words roll off his tongue before he’s even aware of it.
Hyukjae thinks it’s a stupid question, his hard-on is literally straining against his dress pants and how can Donghae not feel it when he’s practically on his lap? “What do you think?”
Donghae’s breath tickles against his skin as he says, “I think you do, but I also know Mr Lee Hyukjae is getting married to his bride tomorrow.”
“Donghae, you know I’m gay,” Hyukjae says, trying not to roll his eyes or lose his mind over the way heat is radiating off Donghae’s body.
He hears Donghae laugh. Then he leans in and plants a quick kiss on the tip of Hyukjae’s nose. “I’m kidding, Hyukjae. Your friends just didn’t pay me enough.”
Hyukjae sniggers and says “don’t worry, baby, I’m made of money”, even though he hears a small voice at the back of his head that goes: here we go again; it’s always about money, money, money.
He tells the voice to shut the up, he’s trying to have a good time, and it’s soon forgotten when he’s leaning against the headrest of the bed and Donghae is kneeling in front of him looking like Himeros from the 21st century.
