Irene’s POV

5 years ago, I saw this beautiful woman sitting at the table across mine.

We were at a club then.

 

(flashback)

She was on her 5th glass of beer when I approached her.

She seemed to be tipsy already, and I find it cute.

I snatched the glass from her hand and she looked at me with irritation on her eyes.

“exc-cuse m—me *hick* my *hick* b—be-beer”

I chuckled, she is indeed cute

“no more for you miss, you’re drunk. And alone”

She gave me a wide grin, looking foolishly pretty and said

“so dance with me”

 

We danced through the night, until almost dawn. Until she was sober again

Turns out both of us didn’t want to go home so we walked outside for a bit.

“it was a good idea to approach you, I enjoyed your company. Thank you, Rowoon” I said

But she laughed so loud, I was confused.

“I—sorry I kinda lied about my name earlier. I tend to say fake names to strangers. Keke sorry.

My real name is Seulgi. Kang Seulgi” she offered for a handshake which I didn’t shook.

My right brow raised.

“I’m telling the truth this time, I swear!” she raised her hand like she was taking a pledge.

“and I swear you’ll be the reason if ever I’ll have trust issues” I joked

And we laughed.

 

The second meet-up was sooner than expected.

Then there was a third, fourth, fifth until I couldn’t keep count anymore.

We enjoyed each other’s presence; it was obvious in our faces.

 

(end of flashback)

 

 

Today, 5 years later, I’m now looking at the same woman from before.

She’s sitting across me, at the other side of the same table as mine.

But the setting is different, it’s not in the club.

We are now at home.

And I’m the one who is drunk, not with alcohol, but with her love.

 

 

Seulgi’s POV

I noticed the unusual staring from the girl seated in front of me.

“why are you staring like that?” I asked, unable to gulp down what I’m eating

You shrugged your shoulders

“nothing, I just like to stare at how pretty you look” I choked.

“Miss Joohyun are you being serious right now, because I just woke up. I’m sure I still have eye boogers” I said in unvarying tone.

You get up from your seat and sat on my lap.

You wrapped your arms around my neck and gave me a peck on my forehead

Another one landed on my cheek

And into my lips.

You and your soft lips that taste like strawberries, I can never get enough of.

“I love you. Oh gosh I wanna kiss you all day” I thought out loud

You giggled

“not before you dance with me”

You stood up and pulled my hand so I can do the same.

we stood face to face and shared our lovely smiles.

And even without music, we swayed slowly to the sound of our hearts.

Dancing was one thing, but dancing with you my love is everything

 

 

Third person’s POV

It was 10 past 5 and Joohyun was already at the bus stop waiting for Seulgi to fetch her.

Seulgi runs her own photo studio so she holds her own time.

She always picks up her girlfriend from work, no matter how late she gets off.

She would always be there early, so it was weird for the other girl to not find her car around.

Joohyun decided to phone her. And after 3 rings, the call was answered.

“hello?”

“hey babe, did you park somewhere else? I’m already at the terminal”

“oh shoot I fell asleep” Joohyun heard rumbling noise in the background indicating that Seulgi is rushing to get ready

“oh did I wake you up? It’s okay you can take a rest I can take the bus”

“no no no, I’ll just change my shirt. Wait for me, okay? Be there in 15minutes”

“are you sure? Seul—”

“I’ll be there. Wait for me. And oh, I love you Bae Joohyun” Seulgi said before hanging up

Joohyun looked at her phone and smiled

oh what did I do to deserve you, I love you too.

 

It must be traffic

She looked at her watch, it has been exactly 25minutes. She’s late.

Her phone rang but it was an unknown number so she didn’t answer

It rang again, a text message was sent this time
