Smacks and Situations
Break It With Your BoyfriendA/N: Normally I write author notes right at the end but before reading this chapter I wanted to address what was happening in America and around the world, now first and foremost I want to say that I stand with black people and the BLM movement, as a POC I'm so proud that so many communities have gathered to avenge so many wrongful deaths that were brushed under the carpet due to systematic opression and white privilage. I know my platform isn't huge but I still want everyone to know that this is a safe space for all and for anyone who is a part of the BLM movement know that I stand with you.
I'll link two things down below which I found to be helpful resources, please educate yourself on the matter if you haven't, I may not be the best because I'm still learning and educating myself and if you have any other links that could help please comment them down below so we can continue to learn and we can bring more attention to this.
You stayed silent as the words left , your leg started to bounce slightly as you spoke, “Jisoo. It’s been three years, I’ve moved on…” Which is why I drank a few days ago… definitely over it. “It’s just… you disappeared that summer and come school you’re just… you know you changed…”
“Well I mean… I grew up a bit, I went through things and I made mistakes but I learned, I guess I’m just more mature now…” She stared at you, growing tense under her gaze before she ultimately gave up and decided to snuggle into you, “I wish we were still kids.” “You’re still a kid.” She smacked your arm as always, a little laugh slipping out, “I’m older than you, respect your elders.” “When my elders can look over the fence I will.” “Listen I still have a few more years to grow!” “Mhmmm…”
Your fingers through her hair after years of not talking to eachother, the familiarity between the two of you causing a comfortable silence to take over as you stared at the few stars visible in the night sky, minutes passing before you heard your mom yell for you to come to dinner.
You stared at the back entrance to your house before shifting to Jisoo, “That’s my cue to leave…” She smiled at you before ruffling your hair and standing up, “I’ll see you tomorrow Y/N/N.” You pouted, trying to fix your hair while sending her a glare, “Yea yea, get lost. Tell your mom I say hi.” She smiled before leaving, the wooden door you made as kids closing.
A soft smile on your lips before you let out a breath and stood up, heading back in to have dinner with your mom.
You stepped into your house, your mom meeting your eyes with confusion, “Why were you outside?” “Oh- Uhh… I was talking to Jisoo…” Your mom processed the information while nodding before turning around, “Well come get some food before it gets cold.”
You sat across from her on the small table you kept next to the kitchen, the two of you digging in before your mom spoke up, “So you and Jisoo are friends again?” You almost choked on the piece of chicken you were chewing, clearing your throat before finishing up the bite you took, “Well uhh… Kinda? I’m not sure…” At this your mom quirks her brow at you, “What are you not sure about?” “Well it’s just kinda rushsed. Her and I started talking again and we’re good. It’s like we never stopped you know, but I don’t know what she thinks.”
Your mom nodded, taking a sip of water, “Just… make sure not to get hurt again Y/N/N… She’s a good girl but I just… I don’t wanna see you go through that again.” You gripped the fork in your hand, foot tapping the wooden floor underneath you, “Mom I promise you I’m good, nothing is gonna happen and Jisoo pretty much just cried about how she regrets how everyhting went down and apologised even though I never blamed her. I’ll be fine, we’ll be fine.”
Your mom just sighed, continuing to eat as she thought about what to say before speaking up, “I know and I trust you and I’m proud of how far you come but… I’m gonna worry no matter what.” You smiled softly at your mom, thankful you still have her, “Mom. I’m always gonna be here, nothing to worry about and I hope you realize I’m here for you…”
Your mother smiled softly, tears suddenly coming to her eyes making your own pair widen in concern as you got up and went to her side, “See this is what happens when we talk about our feelings.” Your mom laughed slightly as she tried to wipe her eyes, “I’m sorry you shouldn’t be seeing me like this.” You pulled her into a hug, “It’s fine, it’s nice.” She gasped feign shock, “Are you saying you like seeing your mother cry! Y/N L/N you’ll be grounded!” You rolled your eyes before kissing her on the head, “Sorry, o’ great one, please forgive me.”
“And talking back? Little lady you’re really trying to get in trouble aren’t you!” You couldn’t help the smile growing on your face as you joked around with your mom, not having done this in a while. “Ok ok enough jokes, finish up your food and head to bed, you have school tomorrow.” “Yes ma’am.”

You woke up slightly earlier than usual, your ringing phone making you jolt awake as you stared at the contact number flashing on the screen, a groan leaving your lips as you pressed answer, “What?” “Y/N I FORGOT TO FILL MY GAS YESTERDAY CAN YOU PLEASEEE TAKE ME TO SCHOOL!” You moved your phone away from
