Description

A Hogwarts!AU fic where Joy wants to ask Son Seungwan out but is a bit of "a colossally hopeless cluster of a disaster" (her words).

You’ve gone out with so many of the other boys and I never had to hear any of these uttered prior…” Yeri says more to herself than anything, shaking her head. “But if anyone heard you saying that drivel outside of your room, I’m not quite sure we could keep you in Slytherin.”

Hi, posting this with major #GetWellSoonWendy wishes, big sigh and anger!!! @ SBS.

Still, here is a fic because I was in a pro-procrastination mode + I started writing this on a long night bus ride back to Tokyo (and would never finish it if i didn't finish it today.)

Joy is really wrecking my bias list lately but also I am so soft for Wenjoy :( I apologise if my seulrene agenda has also snuck its way into this fic (and tbh when I wrote this I guess I sort of thought of this fic with relation to the seulrene in my other short thing, but feel free to ignore it). Herein I also kind of headcanon that the k-idols transplanted into the Hogwarts world have some sort of regular meet-ups with each other (like how schools have Korean associations) so the Korean/Asian kiddos have their own internal network thing going on. I have to say that Slytherin!Joy is an entertaining character to write though this fic leans to the lighthearted hyperbolic end of things.

Like many people I am really a huge er for the Harry Potter AU thing so yes. Thanks to all on TWT who helped me Sort the RV members (all talented and brilliant people/writers!). I'm probably going to write little vignettes within this verse when I can - I have another 500 words stashed somewhere at the time of posting this so...

Chapter 1: i know i'm six months late but hey better late than ever! i did read this back when you posted but i forgot how sweet it was i think. been a while since i read stuff (i feel like i always say this in every comment lol) so i thought i should come around and comment on your stuff bc idk if you know but you're honestly like one of my favorite writers no joke.
first of all as always your characterization is like... so great. and thats impacts on the great dialogue too. i really liked the setting too like, not just that it's a hogwarts au but specifically how you set it up. the houses, the quidditch rivalry, the pranks. it fits so well and makes the world and the characters feel so much more alive.
joyri dynamic was golden, that's a given. but i found myself so fond of wenjoy here bc i think you captured the essence of what's endearing about them. i don't know how to explain but i'll try. like, the whole miscommunication thing? interpreting each others actions wrongly? and then talking honestly abt it? sometimes that can be annoying in stories but for wenjoy..... that's like their Crucial Friendship Moment irl and you emulated it here brilliantly.
basically i just love this so much and forgot it and so i wanted to make up for it by gushing about it. thank you for writing it ? and great job as always.

You did a great job writing this, author. Surprisingly, I didn't cringe at all the times Joy would express her admiration for Wendy. Instead, a wide smile is what I always had as I read everything. Wenjoy fics are rare, and to find a Wenjoy fic as awesome as yours is even rarer. Combining it with the HP universe, this story is truly a gem! Thank you for sharing this awesome Harry Potter AU with Wenjoy as the main characters.
