A/N: This is the first long fic I’m writing in a long time and I am trying my best to make it good, so I’m sorry if it takes me some time to release chapters. I’m hoping to post part 1 on the first week of January!

“I know it’s not right, but I still come looking for you

I know this isn’t meant to be, but I don’t want to give up

Artificial lover

This love exceeds the lethal dose

It’s an uncontrolled addiction

Chew the scar and spit it out

Unpredictable emotions

My heart is filled with tears”

Foreword

“You were like the moon on a starless night. Without you, he would be completely lost in the dark. But the only path he was able to follow was the one that your light showed him.”

Oxopressyn – It is mandatory to take one capsule of it every morning. It tastes bitter, and no matter how old or how used to it you are, you always feel dizzy the first few hours of the day after taking it.

It helps to keep yourself focused. To work more efficiently. That’s how our society evolved. We no longer waste time in meaningless tasks. Our goal is to always go up from the district we are placed in when we are born.

It is rumored that people in the highest district no longer need oxopressyn and live their life the same as people in the past.

There are, of course, revolutionists. People who indulge into their own pleasure and resist to what is imposed to us. But they are soon taken by the government’s troops to “safeguard the quality of life”, as the multiple screens on the streets say.

I have seen it. We all have, at least once in our life. The screams and pleas scarred in our ears.

Because that’s the only thing we can actually feel.

Fear.

Oxopressyn – It is mandatory to take one capsule of it every morning. It tastes bitter, and no matter how old or how used to it you are, you always feel dizzy the first few hours of the day after taking it. Your heartbeat keeps a steady pace, your expression stays blank, and your mind empty of any intrusive thoughts, because oxopressyn suppresses all your emotions; except of course, fear.
