A world you’ve never seen before. A world far away from humans. Nights filled with lust and blood. What is waiting, watching from the shadows? Two courts; Solar and Lunar; light versus dark. Both sides have been at each other’s throats for three millenniums. On one side, Solar. Known to many as the seelie court, this court is home to the creatures of utter perfection. Or at least that’s what they claim. They control Air, Water, Light, and Energy. The Solar court members are known for their beauty and strong sense of justice and power. They are strict with their rules and are against change. They are also known to be cold and calculating. The Solar court will grant favors to humans in exchange for a gift. On the other side is Lunar, also known as the unseelie court. This court is the home of all the creatures that make their home in the darkness. They are the creatures that the Solar court say are flawed. They are perfectly flawed. They can control Shadows, Ice, Fire, and Earth. They are known for their ability to adapt to changes. They are known to be quick tempered and have fiery passions. The Lunar fae do not get involved with humans at all; unless the human is willing to pay a hefty price. Divided even among themselves by blood bonds, both courts are adamantly against the “mixing” of the courts; meaning… don’t get involved with the other courts. Well, almost everyone feels that way. 

The former emperor of the Lunar court, Emperor Moon, made a dangerous deal with the current emperor of the Solar court, Yoon Kang-Dae. The deal stated that  Kang-Dae would crown the second daughter of the Lunar court emperor, Moon Chaerin, as empress of the Solar court. Chaerin was the obvious choice as her older sister would become Empress of the Lunar court by birthright. That left Chaerin. The two have known each other for years, secretly hiding their love for each other. When they were both kids, the two happened to escape the kingdoms of each court and met in the fae woods. Ever since then, Kang-Dae and Chaerin have been in love.  When tensions rose between the two courts, the two were kept away from each other, hoping that their love for each other would die. But distance makes the heart grow fonder, and the two wrote love letters to each other in secret. When Kang-Dae finally came into power, he requested the marriage between him and Chaerin. Their marriage increased the tension between the two courts. How dare they taint the reputation of each court? The Solar court, demanded that he annul the marriage, as she wasn’t just a Lunar member, and assume she had tainted blood.  Kang-Dae believed that she was the key to solving the tension between the two kingdoms, but it only made it worse. At their wedding, Emperor Moon was poisoned and murdered. Chaerin’s older sister became the new monarch of the Lunar court, becoming Empress Moon. The two sisters, have been best friends since they were children. Despite this, however Empress Moon did not agree with the marriage. Both courts, ravaged by uncertainty and fear, became a war ground. Some of the Lunar court clans want to take over the Solar court. Some of the Solar court clans want to destroy the Lunar court. Some just want there to be peace. There have even been fighting inside the courts themselves over divided opinions. In a land where magic, blood, power, and lust all play a key role in the outcome of this dilemma, tensions are high and lives are at stake. 

The roleplay takes place during present time, however Anwynn, the realm of the Fae, is much different than the human world. The Fae wear traditional clothing for festivals, family gatherings, and other important events. The royal family is expected to wear traditional clothing at all times while in Anwynn, and traveling to the human realm is frowned on. Style of dress can vary from Korean, Chinese, and Japanese wear. The fae often change from one style to the next. But for casual wear, they can wear human clothing. The Fae can travel freely between the worlds, although they spend most of their time in Anwynn. Anwynn is divided into two islands. There is a bridge that connects the two islands, however it is usually submerged under water. During every full moon, the bridge is revealed and the two courts can meet.
