about
after the trials of the first mnet show, idol school, officials from the academy decided to reopen their doors to new trainees for the 2019-2020 school year, with new rules. this time, students will be able to "major" in the position they are the most comfortable with. however, they will still be trained to be as well-rounded as possible with the help of our teachers.
unlike last season, these girls will apply to take part into one of four programs. producing, business, acting, and modeling. each girl will have to go through weekly evaluations that can change their rank based on audience vote. the top 9 girls by the end of the competition will be considered the winners and will walk away as a new kpop group. the rest of the remaining girls will be able to say they've had enough experience from the show to be great trainees for their future entertainment companies.

singing teacher: lee hongki
with plenty of experiece in the idol industry, along with training many other trainees on various television shows. he is truly one of the best to train our students.

singing teacher: kwon hyuk (dean)
while dean hasn't trained  other trainees, he is very excited to start this upcoming school year. he has made a name for himself in the international music community as well as korea.

may j lee is one of the newer popular choreographers, creating choreo and training trainees and kpop dancers alike.

dance teacher: lee taemin
unlike may j lee, taemin doesn't have too much experience with helping students get better with their dancing, however, he is very prepared and great dancer to start.

rap teacher: moon jihoon (swings)
while owning multiple rap companies and appearing as a judge on many shows as well, swings is ready to teach these students the right way to control a crowd.

rap teacher: kim eunyoung (cheetah)
similar to swings, cheetah has a lot of experience under her belt. she has been able to teach the most boring idol rappers into interesting ones. don't let her gaze intimidate you.

model teacher: bae suji (suzy)
if anyone can teach our students how to model, one of the main visuals of korea can do the job. suzy has been able to charm people with her looks since her idol days.

seolhyun is able to give tips from her modeling career and also her idol career to the students. her resume is large, and she can surely help everyone who is interested.

current member of exo, doh kyungsoo has also spent time learning how to be a better actor. he hasn't taught anyone how to act yet, but he is willing to help our students.

variety and korean drama queen, eunji has taken the world by storm. her bubbly personality has brought her to idol school to help these girls better themselves for a future career.

previous sistar member, soyou not only mastered her vocal skills, but she is a great fitness coach and health enthusiast. she is more than willing to help these students get in shape.

after her popularity rose with sistar, hyolyn opened up her own korean entertainment business. she will be willing to help these next students with their business skills.

not only is he a popular rapper, but he also  has created many hit songs for other artists to rise to the top to. he is excited to take these students under his wing and give them a few pointers.

a popular member of b1a4, jinyoung has also learne3d how to produce his own idol songs along with popular songs of other idol groups.

sweet, caring hearted yoona is willing to guide and help these students in the morning. since she is a homeroom teacher, she will be helping them with small tasks and will provide them with guide and direction.

Lovely, and funny hani is ready to provide a lot of laughs for the audience and great insight for other watchers.

a glamourous actress of age, choi jiwoo is willing to take on the responsibilities of being the principal of this idol school. she is ready to take commands and also listen to the students, being a diplomat to both them and the teachers.

Mnet should do a school based idol show like they did before. It's a good yet underrated concept tbh! Better than seeing pd shows cause how many pd shows can you possibly make? (No hate, just repetitive imo)
