Love Forever

 

“WOO!!! Do you smell that?” Chorong took a deep breath in. She shook her whole body to get the blood flowing again.

 

“That’s the smell of Paris, BABY!” Chorong shouted into the airport. Eunji immediately grabbing her hand and hushing her.

 

“Ouch… You don’t have to be so rough Eunji!!! That can wait til later!” Chorong feigning pain to get the last-minute innuendo in. Eunji rolling her eyes wondering what she did to deserve this. “Try not to be so loud unnie… People are staring!” Eunji scolded Chorong. Chorong gave Eunji a confused look back at Eunji as her reply to that statement.

 

“What are they going to do about it…” Chorong pouted. “They’re just jealous to see two beautiful women like us together hehe.” Chorong wrapping both arms around Eunji’s. Chorong pointing towards the exit of the airport. “Onwards to the romanceu!” Chorong rushed.

 

“Romanceu?” Eunji questioned Chorong.

 

“Yep! Romanceu! Cute right? I just made it up…” Chorong said glaring into Eunji’s eyes. Leaving no room for Eunji to deny it, “Yes… Cute…” Eunji said with a trail of shyness. Chorong wasn’t satisfied with Eunji’s reaction and pouted.

 

“I- I MEAN SUPER CUTE! Oh MY GOD! MY GIRLFRIEND IS SO CUTE” Eunji shouted. Chorong looking back at Eunji, doubting her reaction, but smiled anyway. “I don’t know if you meant that… But you made a complete fool out of yourself in front of everyone here… So, I’ll take it!” Chorong laughed. Eunji let out a sigh.

 

“Should we check into the hotel first?” Eunji asked. Chorong quickly shut her down. “No! Let’s go to the Eifel Tower!” Chorong retorted.

 

“Why the Eifel Tower first?” Eunji asked in all seriousness. Chorong released from Eunji’s arm and skipped a couple steps ahead of Eunji. Looking back at Eunji.

 

“So, we can do this.” Chorong pointing to her lips. Eunji was shocked at how Chorong unnie was being quite bold the past few minutes. Eunji was flustered and didn’t know how to respond. Chorong then saw that reaction and came back to wrap her arms around Eunji’s.

 

“There we go! That’s the reaction I wanted to see haha!” Chorong teased. The both of them tried to signal for a taxi.

 

Upon the taxi’s arrival, Eunji grabbed both their luggage and put it into the car. Finding out where to go next, Eunji gave the driver the directions to the hotel where they will be staying. Chorong overheard them in the back seat and made noises to show her dissatisfaction. Eunji looking back trying to explain to Chorong that they need to drop off their luggage so they can have an adventure filled day without carrying around anything. Immediately replying back, Chorong tried to explain that she wanted to encapture a moment she created in her head. In which they would meet at the top of the Eifel Tower with their luggage and pretend to be shocked to meet each other once again after 5 years. Then dropping everything they were holding, happy to see each other and rush to each other as fast as they can and seal the night with a romantic kiss. The driver eavesdropping into the lover’s quarrel and instantly bursted with laughter.

 

“I’ve driven around many couples over the past 20 years, LIKE A LOT OF COUPLES, but you two have got to be the funniest I’ve ever encountered. You guys will last, a very cute couple you two make!” The driver said. Now the both of them flustered instead of just Eunji.

 

Fifteen minutes later, they have reached their destination. Before Chorong and Eunji got out of the car, the taxi signaled them to stop for a moment.

“When you guys finish checking in and drop off your luggage, come back down immediately! I’ll give you guys a ride to the Eifel Tower! On me!” The driver said excitingly. Eunji confused as to receive such kindness from a stranger. Giving a little bow to the driver and thanking him. The driver waving back signaling that it was no problem at all.

 

After the quick process of checking into their hotel, they got into their room in a timely manner and unloaded their belongings onto the floor.

 

“Alright! We’ll organize it later, TO THE EIFEL TOWER!” Chorong annunciated. Instantly rushing out grabbing Eunji’s hand. Eunji finding the energy to last her throughout the day.

 

“We’re here driver-nim! Sorry to keep you waiting” Chorong said with a smile.

 

“My, My! A quirky one aren’t cha?” The driver chuckled. The driver to the back seat at Eunji, “This one is a keeper, hold onto this one forever!” The driver advised Eunji.

 

“Don’t worry driver nim, I love this woman with all my heart, I’ll make sure to treat her like a princess forever.” Eunji said with utmost confidence. Chorong wasn’t expecting that reply at all from Eunji and immediately blocked her face by pulling her sweater to cover it.

 

“Good! Now let’s get to it, it’ll be a 20-minute drive. Get comfortable!” The driver said. The both of them situating themselves by leaning back on their seat. Although the drive was quite a fair distance, that didn’t bother Chorong nor Eunji. The beautiful scenery from Paris distracted them from the time needed to get to the Eifel Tower. Chorong pointing out the funny looking bird and trying to mimic its face. The both of them laughed. Eunji tried to mimic the face as well but failed. Chorong laughed anyways. In that moment they both knew that they’ll have a great time here in Paris. As long as they have each other by their sides.

 

“Alright! We’re here.” The driver stopped by the curb.

 

“Woahhhhhhhh! It’s beautiful!” Chorong launched herself out of the car. Her hand over her eyes to make sure the glare coming from the sun doesn’t block her view of the Eifel tower. “We’re totally gonna have a romantic time up there” Chorong sticking her tongue out. Eunji couldn’t thank the driver enough for the free ride and the greatest taxi experience they ever had. Eunji tried to tip the driver, but he insisted that it was no problem at all. The driver then insisted if they ever need a taxi ride while they’re in Paris, to call him up and he’ll come immediately. Both Chorong and Eunji waved at driver-nim goodbye, sending him off with their killer couple smiles. The couple then turned around and shifted their body to the entrance of the Eifel Tower.

 

This time around, Eunji went on full attack mode. Grabbing hold of Chorong’s hand and walked inside the building. Upon reaching to the top, the closer they got, Eunji’s heart kept beating. As if she’s about to get a heart attack. She kept grabbing ahold of her chest trying to calm herself down, but nothing she did in that immediate moment changed how nervous she was. It wasn’t like this was their first date or anything, this phenomenon just couldn’t be deciphered. As they reached the entrance to the top, Chorong got out of Eunji’s hold and went on ahead. Immediately going to the other end of the building. Eunji was confused for only a second, but realized what Chorong was trying to do. Chorong got into position at the end of the building, leaning on the railing, looking into the beautiful night’s sky. Eunji, then mustering enough courage to march on over there to go see the love of her life.

 

Chorong continued to lean on the railing of the building, her head resting on her palm, looking up into the sky. The gleam in her eye that signified that tonight was the night. As Eunji walked slowly towards Chorong, about a couple yards, Chorong got up from leaning, and looked behind her. The first thing she saw was Eunji walking towards her. A smile on her face, tears in her eyes. She rushed to Eunji as if they haven’t seen each other in many years. She launched herself into Eunji’s chest digging her head in, as she goes for the biggest embrace ever.

 

“You made it…” Chorong whispered with tears coming from her eyes. Eunji lifted Chorong’s face up so she can glare into her gleaming eyes. The both of them overpowered by emotions.

“Of course, I did” Eunji whispered. As her face got closer to Chorong’s. She then wiped off the tears coming from Chorong’s eyes and slowly moved in closer. Chorong’s face immediately got red, every second felt like forever to her in this moment.

 

“I love you, Park Chorong.”

 

“I love you too, Jeong Eunji.”
