When San arrives at Seonghwa's house for a summer bash, he doesn’t expect the guy to invite every contact on his list. Initially, he thought it was only gonna be him and the guys — boy, is he wrong.

With the blaring music vibrating the house, the strong chlorine overwhelming his nostrils, and the dancing bodies around the pool, it’s enough to completely throw off the 20-year-old. For a clean-freak, like Seonghwa, it is sure strange as hell for him to have a bunch of people (college students, to be exact) over.

Pressing the lock button on his keys, the car beeps! and up he goes to the entrance, which is already open, to find any familiar faces. His eyebrow raises and momentarily stops when a couple walks in front of him.

Strolling deeper into the spacious household, he catches the weird aromas lingering in the hot air: alcohol, sun lotion, barbecue, and coconut. He sees people casually talking amongst each other and even looks out to the far window to identify the true core of the party. Outside, where the pool is, bubbles and splash balls fly in the air.The DJ, which San swears it’s Mingi, is clearly having the time of his life when the beat drops, making everyone go wild.

San stands there, chuckling until a hand grabs his shoulder.

“San! There you are!”

Seonghwa pops in his line of vision, and immediately, he smiles.

He gives him a hug. “Hey! Sorry I’m late. I wasn’t expecting my shift to end later than usual.”

“Nah, you’re good. The party just started anyway.” The older friend wraps an arm around him. “I’m glad you can make it, though.”

“Yeah,” he trails off, eyes wandering the luxurious residence. “I wasn’t expecting lots of people.”

He simply admits, “Me neither.”

“Huh?”

“It was actually Mingi who invited everyone. I mean, I wanted to kill him, but,” he shrugs, “can’t do anything about it now, so might as well just enjoy it.”

He rolls his eyes. “Of course he did. Are the other guys here?”

“You bet. Mingi is DJing, Wooyoung and Yeosang are playing sports outside, Yunho’s in the pool, and last time I checked, Hongjoong and Jongho are probably still at it with ping pong.”

San saves the information in his head to find them later; but prior to saying anything else, his older friend seems to be in a hurry and beats him to it.
