Fifth Meeting

Meet the Parents

The next meeting came up rather unexpected to Jungsu. In fact, he wasn't even the one who asked for Donghae and Hyukjae to come to his office. He watched the two kids running around in his room as if it was their personal playground. In both of their hands were a toy figurine of some cartoon he doesn't know, a souvenir from Japan from their parents. Yes, their parents, Mr. Kim and Mr. Cho had came back two days after his last meeting with Mr. Kim's younger brother and Mr. Cho's Cousin.

"We deeply apologize for causing you trouble. As soon as I heard the full story from my brother Wookie, I talked with my son. He understood everything now. So, I assure you that this incident won't happen again it the future."

"Do you mean we won't go on a date again? Because if that's the case, Jongwoonie, I'm afraid that I can't say the same."

"Shut up Kyuhyun, this is your fault. Apologize to Mr. Park now."

"Sigh, alright, alright, sorry for going on a date with my soon-to-be boyfriend and freak our kids out."

"K-Kyuhyun!"

"What? You want me to apologize and I do, so what's wrong, Jongwoonie?"

So, it's 'Kyuhyun' and 'Jongwoonie' instead of 'Mr. Kim' and 'Mr. Cho' now, huh?

Jungsu noticed a change in Mr. Kim and Mr. Cho relationship. It seemed like their trip in Japan really was their date after all. Even though Mr. Kim stubbornly denied it, his furious blushing proved him otherwise. Mr. Cho's smirk got wider when he saw that. He even reached his hand out aiming at those rosy cheek but Mr. Kim hissed and batted it away. Behind them, Donghae and Hyukjae had settled on the floor folding some paper planes.

"No big deal, it's my duty as a teacher to take care of my students anyway."

Jungsu waved his hand dismissively to show that he didn't mind that much about the ruckus. Mr. Kim sighed. Jungsu noticed that Mr  Kim seemed hesitant as if he had something more to say. So he smiled reassuringly at the other man to subtlety urge him to say whatever on his mind. (Although Jungsu had to pretend that he didn't see how Mr. Cho glared at him threateningly.) It took a while but Mr. Kim finally spoke up.

"If..if you don't mind, could you tell me what happened when my brother and Sungmin-ssi were here?"

"What happened? Well, we talked about Donghae and Hyukjae and that's it."

"Nothing more?"

"What's more?"

"Something like-"

"Jongwoonie, this is the true reason why you drag me here, right?"

"N-No!"

Mr. Cho suddenly chimed in and sighed tiredly. Although Mr. Kim frantically shook his head and denied whatever Mr. Cho accused him, the way his brown eyes darting around looking everywhere but Mr. Cho told him otherwise. Failing to catch up with them, Jungsu asked Mr. Kim if something was wrong. Only for Mr. Kim's face to turn red (Mr. Kim  gets embarrassed really easily it's almost endearing) and Mr. Cho smirk widened.

"My Jongwoonie walked in on his brother and my cousin kissing. So he was wondering what happened between them."

Damn, kissing already? That's fast. And Mr. Cho, no need to emphasis on that 'my'. It's not like I'm going to steal Mr. Kim away from you!

Of course, Jungsu remembered the petite man Kim Ryeowook and the chubby man Lee Sungmin. If they were like their family Mr. Kim and Mr. Cho, then that meeting was their first time meeting each other. Yet they had already kissed? Comparing to Mr. Kim and Mr. Cho, their brother and cousin were much more efficient than them! Thinking about those two made Jungsu curious about the two men in front of him. They just came back from their date in Japan, right? He really wondered how far their relationship had advanced. Jungsu secretly swept his gaze up and down on Mr. Kim slim body to find any sign of, well, limping. However, not only he found nothing, but he also was caught red-handed by Mr. Cho. Mr. Cho voicelessly snarled at him for staring at (apparently) his soon-to-be boyfriend. Thus, Jungsu concluded that Mr. Cho had yet to claim Mr. Kim. Poor man, his cousin only took two days to get a kiss!

"Mr. Park please don't get me wrong! I was only worried for my dear little brother! Wookie is the most innocent man, well, the most innocent after my baby Hae-ah anyway. I'm worried that he might get hurt or deceived or-or heartbroken..."

"Sigh, Jongwoonie, how many times have I told you that your little brother isn't as angelic as you think? In fact, he is at the bottom of the 'most innocent man on Earth' list!"

Such a rare occurrence, but Jungsu agreed with what Mr. Kim said. Although he barely knew Mr. Kim's brother, judging from his unfazed attitude when Mr. Lee Sungmin flirted with him, he didn't seem as innocent as Mr. Kim thought of him. If anything, Mr. Kim himself is the one who deserves the title of the most innocent man....

Wait, why did I bother myself with unrelating to school stuffs?

Jungsu just realized that he actually had no obligation to listen to Mr. Kim and Mr. Cho arguing about their relatives' love life. Wasn't he just wasting his precious time to go home early with this silly argument! He was about to tell Mr. Kim and Mr. Cho that they should end this meeting now (Is this even a meeting?). However, Mr. Kim suddenly turned to him and said in a very serious tone.

"Mr. Park, no, let me you call you Jungsu hyung. Jungsu hyung, my little brother Wookie can't be a devil like what Kyuhyun said, right?"

"What?"

"Hyung, you shouldn't listen to Jongwoonie nonsense."

"What?"

Since when did they are close enough to call each other hyung-dongseang? Jungsu was left speechless. As he watched Mr. Kim and Mr. Cho went back to argue again, suddenly something softly hit his head. Jungsu looked down and saw a paper airplane lying innocently on his desk. He looked up and made eyes contact with Donghae whose hand was still raising above his head, a culprit caught red-handed. The boy smiled sheepishly at him.

"Sorry, Uncle Jungsu, my hand slipped."

"It's Uncle Jungsu fault that he couldn't dodge it!"

Chapter 13: Jungsu became more of a relationship counselor than a teacher XD I'm starting to like this idea of Kyusung as Eunhae's parents, and the kids interactions are so cute.
I was kinda sensing there was something up with Heechul, glad I was right.

I'm KyuSung shipper. I have read your fic. It's so sweet and cute, especially the way KyuSung shows affection to the other. For KyuSung Day on April 13th, I want to translate your fic into Vietnamese and share it with my friends - Vietnamese KyuSung shipper. I hope you agree with this idea. Thank you
