If only wrong decisions did not exist and only the right ones did, things would've been much much better. They wouldn’t have to suffer this much pain. They’d probably be the same happy couple they used to be. And she’d probably be resting herself in his very tight embrace again.
Accidents are no one's fault. They happen if they want to happen. But sometimes, to relieve the agony these accidents cause, we pinpoint at least someone or something to blame.
Wooyoung and Taeyeon were almost there. They were so close. And just when it seemed like everything would turn out for the better, everything turned out for the worse instead. In just a snap of a finger, like black paint getting poured over a wonderful masterpiece, everything was shattered.
The smile on her pale face when she woke up seeing her parents, Jiwoong, and little Hayeon... how he wished she showed him that same smile, too, when she turned her vision at him.
“E-Excuse me, but who are you?”
Those words for him felt even worse than hearing ‘I hate you’ from her lips. Her clueless eyes blinked twice before he was able to answer her question. She laughed. But the serious faces surrounding her made her stop from doing so.
She eventually screamed, complaining that her head was throbbing vigorously. Her mom rushed to her side as her dad forced him to leave the room with him. As soon as they’d gone out, he broke down.
“S-She can’t remember me.” Warm water started trickling down his cheeks.
Mr. Kim sighed deeply, pulling the younger man by his shoulders. “Be strong, Wooyoung. She loves you, and she loves you very very much. I don’t think she’ll be forgetting you that easily.” He smiled encouragingly at him but Wooyoung did not respond.
It took him more than minutes
