to some extent, it's safe to be in a group. maybe the public'll take a liking to at least one of you; if there's nine of you, maybe someone'll take a shine to the smile of member seven, there's a taste for everyone, and when you're shaking with nerves before your stage. when you're a soloist, you're standing alone. 

from your songs, to your live performances, it's on you.  you retire home to your apartment, no one to assure you that you did great, no one to soothe your worries, and there aren't people holding you up as you celebrate your wins. you've worked hard and that's on you. 

it's difficult. you're standing alone, and people are whispering about you. your career's on your back, and it's crushing, your voice cracks and you slip up. no one's there to lend a hand. 

but you've got each other. you look down at your phone, and you smile. you congratulate each other across the stage. you're a shining solo, but you're in this together.

♡ ♡ ♡  hello everyone ! after around like a century of not being around here i somehow compelled myself back here and wanted to die after seeing my like ~five ish year old gg applyfics and cringing myself into obliviin but tbh looking @ them is still a massive guilty pleasure for me but i had the (probably most unoriginal) idea of making an applyfic based around soloist instead of a group dynamic bc i think it would be a blast to write about people dealing w the industry w/o the support mechanism of a group and having to rely on themselves and a small(er) friend group than it would be in a big pre-est group! that being said, if you take an interest feel free to apply or not bc i'm not your mom but if you have any questions throw me a message  and y'all can call me cat if u want
