The Fight Inside
Connected Through Harmony
With Jonghyun's help, Jinki dropped the royal ropes from his shoulders and pulled up his chain-mail to check if the wounds had really vanished. A well-defined broad chest came into view, wound-less, not even a scar left behind. Jonghyun slowly placed his fingers on golden skin, truly stunned that his vocals healed Jinki's wounds.
''They are gone but h-how?''
The Crown Prince dropped his tunic, Chocolate eyes no longer dazed but soft and warm as he glanced at the love of his life. He tugged at Jonghyun's wrist and caught the smaller body into his arms securely, their foreheads pressed together as they held eye-contact.
''You never cease to amaze me.'' Jinki murmured fondly, brushing their noses together before signing deeply yet contently. ''Your voice is truly a blessing in disguise.'' He tipped the man's head back and pressed a kiss against his throat.
''I was so fearful that I wouldn't ever see you again after that night, I felt so lonely and downhearted."
Jonghyun bit his lip, feeling guilty for making Jinki go through that. He never thought his departure would affect Jinki like this if anything he never knew that it had been the Crown Prince who he had that romantic night with.
''I'm so sorry Jinki...'' The Blond apologized but a peck on the corner of his mouth halted his words. A flush crawled up his neck, across his face and even the tip of his ears as Jinki slowly tilted his head to the side, almond-shaped eyes glittering affectionately as they flicked back and forth from Jonghyun's Mocha eyes to lips.
''Hush Beautiful, we're here now, together,'' Jinki slowly lowered his head, and when his lips touched Jonghyun's, they were warm and firm. Gathering Jonghyun in his arms, he hungrily tasted the smaller man, ripping a delighted sigh from the other's lips. Butterflies swirled around Jonghyun's tummy when the Crown Prince mentioned that special nickname.
They were finally reunited.
Jonghyun wrapped his arms around his lover and surrendered to Jinki's warm lips and secure embrace, clinging to him as his heart stepped up a pace before he kissed back with just as much vigor. The distant fighting in the background faded away, the world shrunk until the two of them remained. Jinki groaned as familiar fingers dove into his Chesnut's hair, tugging and pulling. Jinki's own hands curled around the smaller man's hips, bringing him into his lap and welcoming the pleasant weight as thighs curved around his hips.
Jinki nipped at plump lips, tongue darting in and out of a hot mouth, Jonghyun whimpered and bit Jinki's lip sweetly. Their kiss existed out of so much love and affection, poured into just one kiss, it left the two wanting more. Breathlessly, their kiss ended but Jonghyun was already nuzzling softly against Jinki's cheek, like an affectioned puppy being reunited with his master.
''I'm so happy, Love,'' Jonghyun confessed adoringly. Was his curse of never finding happiness, finally broken?
Jonghyun Jinki's cheek almost afraid to blink in fear of him disappearing. Jinki stared back, closing his eyes as soft fingertips brushed over them and every other feature Jonghyun could touch. ''Thank you for rescuing me,'' Jonghyun uttered, lips parting in awe as the smile spreading on the Crown Prince's lips almost blinded him.
Yes, Jonghyun was definitely in love with the Crown Prince.
They held each other for a little while longer, knowing full well that there was still evil to be fought. In the end, duty called when Jinki's royal side told him to check on his men. ''Hide somewhere, I don't want you to get hurt,'' Jinki protectively mumbled, pressing a kiss to Jonghyun's forehead then stood up and gathered his sword. Jonghyun shook his head in disagreement. ''No, I want to fight.'' He climbed to his feet but a wave of dizziness had his knees buckle.
Jinki quickly held him before he collapsed, wrapping strong arms around his waist and cradling him close. ''Are you feeling okay baby?'' The Crown Prince questioned, looking concerned as Jonghyun groaned, eyes closed tightly.
''I'm fine,'' Jonghyun promised, ''I guess healing all the energy out of me.''
''Makes sense, magic needs a good amount of stamina,'' Jinki explained in relief and slightly rested his chin on a mob of blond hair. Jonghyun sighed as he relaxed into the warmth that Jinki's arms provided as they both waited for the dizziness to pass.
''Alright, let's do this.''
The determination on Jonghyun's face made Jinki swallow his words, he would have liked for his lover to be protected. It would do his heart good to know that Jonghyun wasn't fighting in the middle of a battleground when he barely had any fighting experience. ''Are you sure?'' Jinki pressed, allowing the blond to leave his arms. Jonghyun's legs were still slightly wobbly but other than that a curt nod was his answer.
Jinki nodded in return, ''Alright, stay close to me or Minho. We don't know how powerful Seung-Hyun is and now that we learned he's using black magic, we have to observe his moves closely.'' Jonghyun flashed him a confident smile and kissed his cheek, ''Let's defeat him together!''
The Crown Prince chuckled, even in tense situations Jonghyun could be adorable. The future was beyond positive now that Jinki had found his other half.
Black magic is traditionally referred to as supernatural powers used for evil and selfish purposes. The first Sorcerer who managed to expand his abilities past the ones he was born with, studied the issue with black magic and dictated that it was the left-hand counterpart of the benevolent white magic.
He had written books of how to recognize Black Magic, anything that had to do with controlling the body would be identified as that. It was not natural to control someone's body and or mind. In the end, it was forbidden to use any form of it and if you were caught, nasty punishments would be waiting.
It hadn't been seen in years and people were sure that Black Magic wasn't of this time anymore. Yet the Royal brothers were facing a Lord with these powers and needed a plan of action that wouldn't bring them under the influence of manipulation.
If Lord Seung-Hyun would take control over one of the princes and turn them against the royal family an uproar might happen in the Kingdom. Worse yet if the situation would get out of hand, a war could even be set in motion.
Taemin gasped for breath as he leaned on Jinki for support, he had physically exhausted himself with the amount of magic he had used. There was no stopping with the Bandits, they kept climbing to their feet to fight and reinforcements weren't hurrying up. ''W-what do we do b-brother?'' he stuttered between gasps.
Jinki felt lost as he wrapped an arm around his brother's waist to keep him up and made sure he had Jonghyun in his eye-sight at all times. He observed the chaos playing out in front of him. The broken carriage had bodies laying around it, either knocked out or death. Minho was fighting Seung-Hyun but it seemed like they were getting nowhere.
Someone with black magic had anything up his sleeves to try out as well as to protect himself. Meanwhile, Minho was the General of the Royal guards, in practical terms a master of sword-fighting. Not only that but his earth-abilities helped him to shield himself with rocks and the ground. The two were on equal footing this way making Jinki ponder that someone stronger had to fight Seung-Hyun and defeat him.
''I'm not sure Taeminnie, we need a good strategy only we don't have much time.'' Chocolate eyes zeroed in on a trail of blood sliding down Minho's forehead, worry for the General made Jinki unable to think straight. ''We can't let Minho fight him alone for long.''
Jonghyun tilted his head to the side with a frown. The Royal family and General had come here to rescue him, he had to do at least something back as gratitude. His frown deepened, glancing at Jinki and the sword in his hand, the Crown Prince had the abilities of the sky right?
'Would Jinki be just as ruthless as a storm or Tornado when he is angry?' The blond thought. A plan slowly developed in his mind. The blond noticed that the Royal brothers were talking to each other, obviously trying to come up with a strategy so Jonghyun took his chance and slinked off into the bushes successfully.
Jinki pulled at his hair in frustration, ''Alright...the only thing we can do is try and knock him down.'' He concluded with a tone in his voice that sounded uncertain. It wasn't a great plan but perhaps good enough to distract Seung-Hyun for the time being. Taemin agreed and pulled away from Jinki's hold to ready himself for an
