It’s already midnight. Rachel gets up from her bed. She can’t sleep. How can she be sleeping calmly when her parents keep on insisting her to be married to a guy that she never knew? No matter how much she cried in front of her parents before, they just won’t listen. Rachel feels so sad now. It’s like nothing can change her parent’s decision anymore. She’s been crying all night, at her room.

 

The next morning..

 

“Rachel, let us introduce you to your husband-to-be..” said Rachel’s daddy when he saw Rachel came by from the kitchen. Her eyes look swollen, and he knew it, Rachel must be crying all night. I’m so sorry, my daughter. I had to do this. I’ve promised my deceased friend, to marry you to his youngest child.

 

“Okay, who is it? May I know?” Rachel murmured, slowly. Rachel’s daddy looked at her with slightest look, obviously he don’t want to stare deeper to Rachel’s face. He afraid, he would feel guilty later.

 

“Well, he’s a Korean guy. He is my friend’s child, my deceased friend!”

 

“I don’t care anymore about where he’s coming from. I just wanna know who is him? Where is him? I can’t see anybody here!” Rachel nagged. She is so sick with this entire whole marry things.

 

“Hmm..it’s Lee Taemin. From SHINee..heh~ maybe you don’t know him, he’s kind of an idol in Korea!” Rachel’s daddy explained to her. He hopes Rachel would at least show him some excitement. But, nothing had change on Rachel’s expression.

 

“Hmm..you are not happy? He’s one of the top idols in Korea!”

 

“So? Idol? Wah~ I’m so FREAKING HAPPY! Do you expect me to say like that? Oh, come on. I don’t even know him..you know me better, daddy. I hate Korean stuffs..and now you want me to marry a Korean guy? How thoughtful of you, daddy!” Rachel said softly. She looked into her daddy’s face.

 

“You have to trust me on this, baby. I know, you would be happy with him!”

 

“NO! I don’t even know him, daddy! Why should I marry a guy that I never knew?” Rachel keeps on bragging about the same facts. Her daddy looked at her and sighed.

 

“I know it, but I can guarantee you. He is a nice guy..trust me on this!” Rachel’s daddy demanded.

 

Rachel watched her daddy’s movement with pursed lips. “So, where is him? Can I meet him?”

 

“Good. He will arrive here in any minutes from now. Please be prepared.” Rachel’s daddy smiled a big smile.

 

Rachel sighed again. What now? Should I be happy? Or should I say, like pretending to be happy? Rachel said that to herself.

 

About 15 minutes later…

 

“Welcome! Please come this way..” Rachel can hear her daddy’s voice very clearly. Hmmph! Maybe that Korean guy has already arrived. Rachel sat calmly on a sofa, waiting nervously.

 

“This is my daughter, Rachel! And Rachel, this is Taemin!” Rachel’s daddy said it as he smirked to Rachel. After that, he goes away from there, giving chances for Rachel and Taemin getting to know each other.

 

“Hello, I am Taemin!” said Taemin, mildly. He keeps staring when Rachel doesn’t even want to look at him. Wahh~ how arrogant! Please spare me, my life~ T.T

 

“Yeah, yeah..I’m Rachel. Well, nice to meet you..maybe..” Rachel looked at Taemin as she said that. Taemin seems like he has been attracted to Rachel. Maybe he has fallen in love already~ Rachel is more beautiful in reality, not just only beautiful in pictures that he have seen before coming here.

 

Rachel feels something towards Taemin too, but she just couldn’t accept it yet. Rachel does think that Taemin is a cute boy. BUT, so what if he is cute? Marry with this skinny guy? Hah! Does it make any senses? Rachel just couldn’t accept her true feelings yet, the truth that she is already attracted to Taemin too. She’s an egoist person, after all!

 

“What now? Am I a ghost to you? Why do you look at me like that? Keep staring like I am doing something wrong now! Ugh!” Rachel can’t stand it when Taemin can’t take his eyes off her. Her chest feels like it’s gonna burst out. She is scared of Taemin’s cuteness, afraid that she will lose to it.

 

“Oh, I am so sorry. I didn’t mean it that way. A ghost? Ah~ nonono~ Please don’t think badly of me. Hmm..since that I am your husband-to-be, can’t I look at you like that..? You’re going to be my fiancée anyways..sooner or later! ^^” said Taemin, calmly.

 

Rachel looked up at Taemin’s face warily. His eyes were closed, and his lips were smiling.

 

“I’ll never forgive myself for leaving you. I mean, I won’t leave you.” Taemin whispered. “Not if I live a hundred thousand years..”

 

“Oh, look who is talking. Do I care about your words? A hundred thousand years? If you lived that longer, you would leave me then?” Rachel talked back. But inside her chest, her heart is beating so fast. Taemin made her feel like she’s gonna go michyeo (crazy)..

 

Taemin was silent for a moment, staring out the window into the rain as he smiled again. Ah~ now it’s raining so heavily. Aigoo..

 

“If I lived that longer, and IF you are still alive..I would not leave you. That is my promise. BUT, if after a hundred thousand years you are not with me anymore, for whom would I stay?” said Taemin and he’s looking so charming in front of Rachel’s eyes now.

 

I can’t lose to this skinny boy! Never! Oh, God. Why my heart is beating like it couldn’t be stopped anymore? Please help me, God..

 

“Oh, please. We never knew each other. And we do not know each other. How you could possibly and confidently said that? It doesn’t make any senses to me! I don’t love you, why should I listen to whatever you’re saying?” Rachel blabbered.

 

“I love you. That is what matter the most to me. And even if you don’t love me, I’ll make you love me..”

 

“WHAT?! LOVE? You don’t even know me, dude. Why would you say that? Okay listen. I won’t love you. Don’t you even trying. It won’t change my heart so easily! Stop wasting your time on me!” said Rachel. Wah, she is stubborn too.

 

“Ahh~ Interesting! No girl has ever talked to me like this before. Joahaeyo~ (I like it~) ^^” Taemin smiled a big smile. He can see it, Rachel is now blushing away. But she is obviously trying so hard to hide it.

 

Few days later…

 

Rachel watched a lot of SHINee’s MVs and performances since that she never knew about them before this. Now she is impressed by SHINee. Such a hardworking and successful Korean band in Korea! No wonder her daddy always told her that Taemin are a kind of popular idol in Korea, who has been enthuse by many girls worldwide. SHINee is a well-known band in the whole world.

 

And wow~ Taemin is actually a Lead Dancer of SHINee. Look at how he dance, looking so gorgeous and charming! AHHHH?! What am I thinking now?! I shouldn’t have watched all this in the first place!! OH NO! Am I praising him just now? Am I just impressed by looking at him? What is happening to me? I can’t lose my sight. Oh God~ T.T Rachel said that to herself, with her heart beating so fast again.

 

“Hey, impressed already?” Taemin suddenly came. It does make Rachel startled and got a huge goosebump! For God’s sake!!

 

“For God’s sake, please! Don’t come to me like this. Please gimme some signs~ at least, KNOCK THE DOOR!!”

 

“What? Do I need to knock since you’re my fiancée-to-be or my wife-to-be, should I say~?” Taemin replied, grinning as he eyed Rachel’s expression. What a CUTE girl! Taemin said that to himself.

 

“You don’t even know the basic rules. NO BARGING INTO SOMEONE ELSE’S ROOM! Whoever you are..and whoever I am to you..”

 

“I’m sorry, yeobo. Okay, that’s gonna make it, right? So sorry. I was only..”

 

“What? Only joking? Well, that was obviously not a joke at all..you almost killed me. Don’t you see I am so shocked just now?” Rachel scoffed.

 

“Okay. Jinjja mianheyo (I’m really sorry)..now satisfied?” Taemin assented, smiling.

 

“Okay..what do you want, coming here in the first place?” Rachel asked Taemin as she looked into his eyes. Oh, God! His eyes..so attractive! Wait~ Don’t be impressed anymore..Rachel told herself as he shakes her head once.

 

“Here..you are..” Taemin gave Rachel a well-decoratively wrapped box.

 

“What is this?” Rachel asked as she warily looked at the box. She is wondering now.

 

“Open it later..after I go. But now, you have to help me..” Taemin smiled a big smile.

 

“What is it?”

 

“Can you help me with my dance moves? I heard it from your daddy. You’re quite a dancer, before this..you took dance classes, right?”

 

“Well, just for fun. But, I am not a professional..” Rachel replied mildly. It is true, she not so talented to be paired up with Taemin, the lead dancer of SHINee.

 

Taemin smiled again. He touched Rachel’s hand and held it to his chest.

 

“It doesn’t matter..” he said that, warmly.

 

Rachel could feel his sincerity. GOSH! Who is this guy, anyways? So sincere, so nice and so adorably cute! Oh, God! Rachel started to sweat. Taemin made her feel uneasy inside her chest. Rachel is trembling inside.

 

“But..but..but why should I?”

 

“You don’t need a reason, it is because I need you to help me. It’s just a little help, so please?”

“Why do you need my help?”

 

“I need it, to create new dance steps. And if I could, I wanna create it with someone I love. It would be so memorizing for the two of us. Okay now, don’t talk too much..just follow my lead. I’m SHINee’s Lead Dancer, after all~ kekeke~” he murmured to Rachel’s ear. AHH! It made Rachel has a goosebump again now with the whispering~

 

They danced together. But suddenly..Taemin slipped by Rachel’s small mistake. They fell down together, with Taemin on the top of Rachel’s body. KYAAA!~ Rachel could feels Taemin’s breathing so close to her face, and her heart beating so fast again. Taemin look cuter and charming when they’re so up close like this. Ah~ don’t go spazzing, Rachel. You must be calm down for whatever situations!

 

Taemin smiled warmly. He kissed Rachel’s cheeks, slowly and get up from his position. Rachel are obviously blushed but she is trying so hard to hide it. Taemin chuckled and shakes his head once.

 

“Your face has already turning red, yeobo. I’m so sorry..I won’t do it again. And you should watch your steps after this, if you don’t want something like that happen ever again..” then Taemin laughed so hard when Rachel glares at him with red turning face.

 

“Told you. I’m not a professional..”

 

“I know, I know..let’s just continue. I have your back..” Taemin smiled a gentle smile.

 

A month later…

 

“What? You have to go back to Korea?” Rachel seems shocked. She looked at Taemin’s face. Yeah, he looks serious.

 

“Yeah, our busy schedule gonna start again. It’s our comeback season, 3 months from now. Gotta have dance practices a lot~ working hard again..” Taemin groaned a bit, thinking about his incoming busy schedule.

 

“Ahh~ hmm..” Rachel murmured, slowly.

 

“Wae? (Why?) You can’t live anymore of your life without me, majayo? (Isn’t that right?)” Taemin played with words, and it did make Rachel feeling uneasy.

 

Yes, she is so sad now. After been a month she is with Taemin, she can’t refuse her feelings anymore. She is completely falling in LOVE with Taemin, that cute and adorable guy ever! She loves Taemin so much as Taemin always said he is, that’s all she know. But, she just couldn’t say anything. What an egoist person, she is! She really can’t help it.

 

“What? I can’t live without you? Oh, please. Not a chance! You better go back to your country and never come back here again. I would feel so relieve if you did so!” Rachel said that harsh words while her heart telling the opposite, inside. She is so sad when she think back about what she just said to a kind hearted person like Taemin. It sure hurts his feelings so much, as Rachel can see it on his expressions.

 

“Hmm..maybe you don’t know this. I’ve started to love you even before we met. I’ve seen your picture, and I know it on the spot that you’re such a beautiful kind hearted girl that I would be glad marrying to..it’s love at the first sight..don’t you see it through my eyes? It’s okay, now..since..ah, never mind!” Taemin looked sad.

 

But he is still covering up. After all these beautiful moments he had with Rachel, he thought Rachel would be accepted his heart even for just a little acceptance. But, Rachel..

 

Rachel took a deep breath and sighed. She is sad too, really SAD! But she just couldn’t say anything. It’s like something trapped inside .

 

“Okay, then. I shall go now. Hope you always be happy without me. Ah~ my plane almost going to took off. Please take care of yourself, yeobo (honey)~ ah, never mind that already. You don’t want me anyways. Annyeong!” Taemin can even be smiling after what Rachel has said to him.

 

Such a gentle and a humble person he is. Suddenly, he kissed the top of Rachel’s head without any hesitation. And it does make Rachel wants to cry out loud. I LOVE YOU, Taemin! Can’t you see it even a slightest bit? I LOVE YOU! Please don’t leave me. You told me before, you won’t leave me. So now why are you leaving?! Rachel screamed inside her chest. And Taemin would never know it.

 

A week later…

 

Rachel has been involved into an accident which is the serious one. A car accident. She is now in coma. Taemin came back to Rachel as he received the news about her. Taemin felt so guilty because he left Rachel alone just because of Rachel’s harsh words.

 

Taemin took Rachel’s phone from Rachel’s daddy that is given by the police. The police have it since the accident. It's for investigation, and now they gave it back. Taemin keep pressing on the phone’s button, he opened the messages section. There are so many unsent messages in the draft.

 

“Taemin, please come back. I love you..I need you here..”

 

“Taemin, I love you..please don’t leave me alone. I love you! Why can’t you understand my feelings? Girls feeling…I..I love you..”

 

“Taemin yeobo, I’m so sad. You told me before, you won’t leave me alone. But why did you go? Why? Just because of my harsh words, you left me here. I.. I’m so sorry. I never intended to say that harsh words to you. It’s just coming out from my mouth at that time. I don’t know how to say nice words. Maybe I deserved this, since I am an egoist person..”

 

“Taemin..I’m so sorry..please..come back!”

 

There is lot more messages in the draft. All are unsent messages. Taemin hold his tears from coming out. Now he feel so guilty for not understanding Rachel’s feelings. He put the phone in his pocket with his left hand, as his right hand touching Rachel’s face.

 

“Yeobo, please wake up. I’m here now. I..I’m so sorry, for leaving you behind. I don’t know, maybe I have misunderstood your true feelings. I thought you didn’t like me. I’m so sorry for not understanding..” said Taemin with gloomy face. He kissed Rachel’s forehead as he speaked.

 

He holds Rachel’s hand tightly. Hoping that Rachel would feels his eternity love towards that girl, who is the most precious person to him. “I love you, Rachel. Saranghamnida, jinjja saranghamnida..manhi joahaeyo..(I love you, really love you..I like you a lot..)”

 

Rachel’s heart was beating so fast when she felt Taemin’s warm hands. And the warmth of his words, made Rachel sobbing inside. She wants to see Taemin’s face once again. She tries so hard, and finally at last, she can open her eyes. Taemin was smiling again, with such a relieved expression.

 

“Me too..I love you. I’ve started to love you since our first met. It was just me, an egoist person like me deserved all this torturing. I’ve been so sad! I can’t even live a single day without you, Taeminnie. I love you. I’m glad that you came back. I promise, I would never treat you like I ever did to you before this..I am so sorry..”

 

“Gwenchanhayo~ (It’s okay~) yeobo. Saranghae~” Taemin kissed Rachel’s forehead with all of his heart’s contents.

 

"And yeobo.." Taemin called Rachel, softly.

 

"Hmm?"

 

"I got your car license. You're grounded. No driving anymore..I'll hold it for two months.."

 

"WHAT?! :(" Rachel screamed slowly, shocked.

 

Two and a half months later…

 

SHINee has just performed on Music Bank for their comeback stage, which is so AWESOME! Rachel watched them live at Music Bank. After that, she goes back to SHINee’s dorm, waiting for Taemin to get home. She cooked many dishes for SHINee members and waited until her asleep.

 

“Yeobo, wake up!” Rachel can feel Taemin’s warm hand, touching her cheeks. She open up her eyes. Taemin is right in front of her, so does all the SHINee members.

 

“Ahh~ we’re back home! Sorry for being late. We’ve got fans meeting after the performance. Jeongmal mianheyo~ (Really sorry~)” Key explained to Rachel.

 

“Aigoo..Key hyung..please go away~” Taemin shooing Key.

 

“Yeah, right. Do not disturb sign. Don’t you see it, Key? Are you blind? Wahh~ jinjja..” Minho tried to make Key understand. And, a sign? Nahh~ It doesn’t even existed, the sign. It’s was only a hint, to make Key understand.

 

“Where? Ohdiyo? (Where?)” Key asked, innocently.

 

“He’s not gonna understand. Let’s take him away from here~” Jonghyun said as he smirked to Onew and Minho. The two only raised up their shoulder as they smiled.

 

“What?” said Key, blurred.

 

“Taemin is getting engaged in few weeks from now. Don’t even disturb our baby boy who has grown up a lot. Can’t you see it? Taemin is getting married and he never gonna watch Toy Story with you ever again! :P” Jonghyun tried to make Key understand. But Key is always clueless. There is no use in telling him anymore.

 

“We’re going to eat first. Wahh~ I smelled fried chicken!! Annyeong~ (bye~)” said Onew. At last, they took Key away from there. They go to the kitchen, eating.

 

“Hah!~ At last..” Taemin sighed and smiled shyly. His hyungs are always like that, it’s their pleasure to make fun of him. Rachel chuckled a little, because they’re funny.

 

“Taemin-ah..can I have my car license back?” Rachel asked that without any hesitation. It’s been two months now, and Taemin has promised her that he would to give her license back after two months. Taemin is like ‘grounded’ her because he wanted Rachel to be safe.

 

“No..you’re quite a bad driver..” said Taemin, with serious looking face.

 

“Please, you have to trust me on this..I’ll be safe..I promise..”

 

“Please, yeobo..” he whispered.

 

Rachel stared into Taemin’s eyes. “Please what?”

 

“Please, for me. Please make a conscious effort to keep yourself safe. I would be appreciate it..”

 

“Then I’ll work on it..” Rachel murmured.

 

“Do you have any idea how important you are to me? Any concept at all of how much I love you?” Taemin pulled Rachel tighter against his chest, tucking her head under his chin.

 

Rachel pressed her lips against Taemin’s neck. “I know how much I love you. And I know how much you love me..” Rachel answered, calmly.

 

“You don’t have to worry. I’ll be fine..I’m not a child anymore..” Rachel rolled her eyes, but Taemin couldn’t see it.

 

“Impossible. I won’t let you get hurt ever again..” he murmured as he kissed top of Rachel’s head and sighed heavily.

 

“I won’t let myself hurt if that will hurt you..I would never do anything that would hurt you ever again. I’m not like my old self..believe me..” Rachel tried to look at Taemin’s face but couldn’t. Taemin hugged her too tight.

 

Taemin sighed again. “Okay..please be safe..saranghae, yeobo..” and he whispered slowly to Rachel’s ear.

 

“Thank you..”

 

“Don’t you forget this. Ever! Saranghae, yeobo..~” Taemin said it again and again.

 

Rachel feels safe and HAPPY. A never ending HAPPINESS! Like it couldn’t be stopped anymore, this happiness is. Taemin is such a GOOD GUY ever. His humbleness, adorableness, cuteness, kind hearted and warmness made Rachel feels bliss like forever.

 

Before this, she hated Korean stuffs a lot. And she hated a Korean guy. But now, Korean guy is the best to her! :P

 

And after few weeks later, they got engaged and lived happily ever after~
