The library

Description

It started out with Rosie sitting in the corner of the library and now she's kissing Lisa.

Foreword

The library is where all started.

Rosie is not aware of her surroundings cause as always, she has her full attention on a book.

It’s noon but Rosie decided to skip lunch, something that wasn’t common until she discovered that books feed the hunger she has inside more than actual food.

Rosie likes every type of books except for one. She hates love stories type of books.

She’s over the whole Elizabeth Bennett and Darcy bull, or the tragedy of people like Alaska and Miles. Rosie can only roll her eyes at them.

She’s been tripping over this book for a couple of days now and every time she opens it, she finds a note inside of it with phrases like “ We can’t get away by only moving places” or “ love is the feeling I experience the most”.

Rosie finds this notes interesting and she can’t stop thinking who is writing them. At first, she thought they were meant to be for someone to see them and replay to them, but that never happened so she started taking the notes hoping that whoever writes them feel better knowing someone is reading them.

She is packing her stuff and it’s about to put the book back on the shelf when she sees a girl pulling the whole shelf book upside down. People, it’s crazy these days. Rosie only catches a glimpse of blonde hair and a long neck.

“Where it is?” The blonde girl mutters to herself, but Rosie pick the girls words, but she doesn’t dare to go around the other side and ask the girl if she’s searching for the book she’s currently holding in her hand.

Rosie is standing there but the blonde is still moving and now she’s staring into those dark brown eyes, fluffy cheeks and those amazing pink lips.

Rosie follows the girl eyes to the book she’s holding in her hands. It’s the book she’s looking for?. Rosie’s mind is as scattered as the shelf behind of the blonde girl when the blonde she goes and grabs the book from her hands and their fingers brush.

The girl name is Lisa, or that what she said when she mutters a small introduction. It takes a while since Rosie registers what happened and she’s just staring at Lisa.

“It’s okay if I borrow the book?”.

Her voice is so soft, she sounds like an angel.. “ of course, go ahead “. There’s a short lull before Rosie answers and when she does it’s loud causing people to glare at them, something that Lisa doesn’t like one bit.

“You like the book?” Lisa asks giving Rosie a shy smile.

Rosie tucks her hair behind her ears and just nods as an answer to the question.

On the ground close to them are the belongings of Rosie, her backpack a notebook and a pile of unread books. Lisa welcomes herself to that and plops down beside Rosie’s belongings reclining against the wall.

Rosie joins her mirroring Lisa’s position against the wall.

“Are you the one that writes the notes?” Rosie says while pulling out a crumpled paper from her pocket.

Lisa is not surprised, Rosie is the one that had come across of them. She’s kind of relieved it is her and not someone else.

“Yes, I am. I just write them while I’m reading and let them inside cause I think people can relate to them”. Lisa says while her head tilts along with her voice.

Rosie thinks that is a little strange to do that and in reality, Lisa does is cause writing down those thoughts help her to move on those feelings.

“Why do you keep them?” Lisa asks Rosie.

Rosie picks all the notes from her backpack, showing all the notes Lisa had left on the books. “ To be honest I don’t know” she replays shrugging her shoulders, “ I just didn’t want to person that was writing them to feel like no one was reading them”.

Lisa is getting closer to Rosie by the time and in a matter of minutes, Lisa’s shoulder is touching Rosie’s and before any of them were able to realise what they are doing, Lisa’s hands find the way between Rosie’s soft and delicate fingers.

Lisa realises and she is definitely not panicking, not at all.

Rosie has practically travelled to space and back before she could even warrant their intertwined hands in her head.

The sun goes down and even if they both are in silence, they have somehow missed the announcement that the library is closing down in five minutes and they are now locked and alone on the second floor of the library.

Rosie doesn’t even want to let her mind imagine what it can happen with Lisa now that they are alone.

“I didn’t get your name earlier,” Lisa says while she is tracing figures on the back of Rosie’s hands, still intertwined with hers. “ It looks like we are stuck on here pretty girl,” Lisa says with a smile on her face, a grin starting to appear.

Rosie shivers as she finds herself playing a war inside her head, one part of her wanting to let go and let things happen, other part opposing to it.

“My name is Rosie” She barely manages to say as she feels her ears and cheeks burning.

Their hands never leave each other as they look at the starts from the window.

Lisa doesn’t say anything as she can’t stop thinking to herself about how beautiful Rosie is and how good she looks under the moonlight light.

It’s interesting how two strangers can end up like they are right now and it’s even more interesting how people know what it is they feel upon the first encounter.

Rosie feels, everything and anything at the same time with Lisa, she feels like she can lift the whole world but at the same time, she feels it would probably crash her down. She’s overwhelmed with feelings even if there are no words conversed between them, Lisa is still able to find a way into her close and secure heart.

And without thinking much, she is kissing Lisa’s lips.

And god they are so soft.

There’s not much Rosie can say with words to explain what she’s feeling as the spaces between them disappear and she hears Lisa saying she’s so beautiful with ends up with Rosie saying her to shut up and kiss her.

And the keep kissing under the moonlight, in a ragged two-story library on Seoul.
