Dry grass scratched my arms as I lied on the ground. Warm air surrounding me and filling mu lungs with every breath. I moved a bit and felt my shirt rise up showing more of my bare stomach.

Looking at the night sky I tried to name all the stars. It is said that everything we name is more familiar to us. It’s not even that I wanted to be friends of the night- it chose me.

My life could never see the daylight, but the more time I spent in the dark, the more I got used to it.

I named everything once again in my life and learned how to live in a new way, like a newborn child.

I closed my eyes feeling the warm wind brushing against my skin.

“You know we will have to pay for this?” I said and heard a long murmur of agreement next to me.

He lied there with his hands under his head, messing up his hair. Makeup smudged and barely holding on, but still emphasizing his best features. He smiled slightly.

“We will, we will...”
