Chapter XVI – Going to Japan

Restaurant…

After they captured the guy, the police took the guy to the police station.

“Why are you here, Agent Hyo?” Key asks.

“We thought you are in South Korea for a mission.” Yuri said.

“This is related to my mission there. I came here because I am looking for Agent Taemin.” She said.

“Me?!” Taemin is shock.

“Ne. I need to ask you something.” She said.

“I am innocent. Promise!” Taemin is scared.

Hyo Yeon laughed. “You haven’t changed.”

Hyo Yeon shows the pictures of the shuriken.

“Where did you get this? Do you have the shuriken?” Taemin asks.

“It’s in my bag. The shuriken came from a ninja.” She said.

Taemin look at the mark carefully and he gasped.

“Prof. Dara told me that you know who made that.” She said.

“Only one person owned this mark and that is my grandfather from my mother’s side.” He said. “But he is not here.”

“Where is he?” she asks.

“Japan.” He said. “But it’s been 10 years since he stopped being a smith.”

“Then, we need to see him.” She said.

“Sure. Good thing our mission here is done.” He said.

“Can we come?” Yuri asks.

“What about the report?” she asks.

“Report can wait. We’re curious about your mission. I guess guarding idols are not an easy task.” Key said.

“You bet.” She said. “But what is your grandfather’s name, Agent Taemin?”

“Park In Hwan.” He said.

Hyo Yeon tries to call Onew again but still no answer so she leaves a voice message instead.

“Yah! Why are you not answering my calls?! Are you taking care of them?! I’m going to Japan with Agent Taemin, Agent Key and Agent Yuri. We’re going to see his grandfather. I’m going to kill you when I get back!” she said.

Seoul, South Korea…

“Yah! Why are you not answering my calls?! Are you taking care of them?! I’m going to Japan with Agent Taemin, Agent Key and Agent Yuri. We’re going to see his grandfather. I’m going to kill you when I get back!”

After listening to her voice message, Onew calls her but she is not answering.

“She must be mad at me.” Onew said. When he woke up this afternoon, he checked his handphone and only got surprised when lots of missed calls from Hyo Yeon registered in his handphone.

“She’s going to kill me for this.” Onew said.

“Who?” Eunhyuk asks.

“None of your business.” Onew said and joins the others in playing video games.

“Onew, has Hyo Yeon called?” Leeteuk asks.

“Ne. She and the other agents are going to Japan.” He said.

“What is she going to do in Japan?” Shindong asks.

“They are going to talk to the grandfather of one of the agents.” He said.

“Is he the one who made the shuriken?” Hankyung asks.

“Maybe.” He said.

“I miss her. When she will be back?” Donghae asks.

“Not sure but I hope she won’t take long.” He said.

“Maybe we should go to Japan, too.” Siwon said.

The other members look at each other.

“Agent Onew, can we go to Japan?” Sungmin asks.

“If only your manager let you.” He said.

“Leave it to me.” Leeteuk said and calls their manager.

Chapter XVII – The Weapon Maker

Osaka, Japan…

The 4 agents changed their clothes into casual clothes because Taemin’s family doesn’t know about his job.

As they enter the traditional Japanese house, the 3 agents are amaze with the beauty of the house.

“So beautiful.” Hyo Yeon said.

“I only see this kind of house in the movies.” Key said.

“I agree.” Yuri said.

“Hyung, I’m home!” Taemin said.

A guy came out of the house.

“Taemin, how are you?” the guy said and hugs him.

“I’m fine.” Taemin said. “Hyung, these are my friends. Yuri noona, Hyo Yeon noona and Key hyung.”

“Hello! I’m Junsu, Taemin’s cousin.” The guy said. “Come in.”

“Hyung, where’s old man?” Taemin asks when they get inside the house.

Junsu hit him on his head.

“Ouch! Why?!” Taemin yells.

“Don’t call him old man.” Junsu said.

“Where is he? We need to talk to him.” Taemin said while rubbing his head where Junsu hit him.

“He’s still sleeping. You need to wait for him for an hour.” Junsu said.

“Araso. I will tour them first in our house.” Taemin said.

“Good. I’ll prepare the lunch.” Junsu said and went to the kitchen.

After the tour, Taemin and the others play some board games.

“Let’s eat.” Junsu calls them.

“Ne!” Taemin said.

They all went to the dining room.

“Is old man still sleeping?” Taemin asks.

Junsu hit Taemin’s head using the plate he was holding.

“Ouch!” Taemin yells. “Noona, hyung hits me again.”

Taemin moves closer to Hyo Yeon and acts like a baby.

“You should learn to respect grandpa.” Junsu said.

“Let me check your head.” Hyo Yeon said.

She checks Taemin’s head.

“It’s ok, there’s no blood.” Hyo Yeon said while rubbing Taemin’s head.

Taemin smiled at her. “Thanks, noona.”

While eating, Junsu keeps looking at Hyo Yeon.

Then, an old man came in.

“Old man!!!” Taemin shouts and hugs the old man.

The old man lightly hit Taemin on his head. “Where’s your respect, boy?”

“Sorry, grandpa.” Taemin said but he is still smiling.

Taemin introduced the three to his grandfather. They all eat their lunch.

After the lunch, they went to the garden to have some tea.

“Taemin, it is unusual to see you here. What brought you here?” In Hwan asks.

“Actually, it is Hyo Yeon noona that wanted to see you.” Taemin said.

The old man looks at Hyo Yeon.

“I asked Taemin to bring me here to see you because of this.” Hyo Yeon said while giving the shuriken to him.

The old man’s expression changed when he saw the shuriken. With his trembling hand, he hold the shuriken and took a closer look.

He gasped when he saw the unforgettable mark on the shuriken.

“Where did you get this?” he asks Hyo Yeon.

“I encountered a ninja and I got that from her.” She said.

“Ninja? But that is impossible.” He said.

“It is but it is true.” She said.

“But I stop being a smith 10 years ago since my wife died.” He said.

“Then, do you know someone who can make this?” she asks.

“I’m the only who has the mark like this.” He said. “But…”

They all waited to what he will going to say next.

“But there is one person that has a set of different kinds of ninja weapons that I made. He’s my old friend and before he moved to South Korea with his family, I made him different kinds of ninja weapons as a remembrance of our friendship.” He said.

“He’s in South Korea?” she asks.

“Yes but I heard that he’s already dead.” He said. “He and his family got into a car accident 2 years ago.”

“Did they all died in the accident?” she asks.

“Only her granddaughter survived but I don’t have any news about her.” He said.

“Then, maybe his granddaughter is using it or someone stole it and using it now.” She said.

“You must get back the weapons and bring it here. I didn’t made it to kill someone.” He said.

Hyo Yeon holds the old man’s hands.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Park. I’ll get them back.” She said.

The old man smiled at her.

In Hwan invited them to stay in the house just for a night.

Junsu is so happy because he likes Hyo Yeon.

“Taemin, let’s play some games.” Junsu said after the dinner. It is his way to get close to Hyo Yeon.

“What kind of game?” Taemin asks.

“It’s up to you.” Junsu said.

“Hyo noona, what do you want to play?” Taemin asks.

“I’ll pass. I just want to sleep.” Hyo Yeon said.

“Me too.” Yuri said.

The women went to their room.

“What are we going to play, hyung?” Taemin asks.

“I don’t want to play anymore.” Junsu said and went to his room.

“Key hyung?” Taemin looks at Key but Key is already sleeping.

“Aish! No one wants to play with Taemin!” Taemin said and went to his room to sleep.

Chapter XVIII – I’ll be your guardian no matter what happens

“Mr. Park, we’ll go ahead.” Yuri said.

“Take care especially you, Taemin.” In Hwan said.

“Ne, old man- I mean grandpa.” Taemin said.

“Grandpa, I’m going to the market. You should get inside the house now.” Junsu said.

“Araso.” In Hwan said and went back inside the house.

Junsu walk with the others.

“Taemin, if ever you come back, please bring Hyo Yeon again.” Junsu said.

“Only if noona wants, right noona?” Taemin said.

“Well, if I’m not busy.” She said.

Junsu is happy deep inside.

“And we will come too.” Yuri said.

“That’s right.” Key said.

“Hyo Yeon noona!!!” a familiar voice shouts.

They all turn around and saw the Super Junior running towards her.

As they get closer, the guys hug her.

“We miss you.” Siwon said.

“Why are you here? Schedule?” she asks.

“We followed you here.” Kyuhyun said.

“Really?” she said.

“Ne. We are very worried about you.” Heechul said.

“Coming from you?” she jokingly said. “But I am so touched.”

“Onew, good to see you again.” Key said.

“Me too.” Onew said.

Hyo Yeon ignores Onew.

Seoul, South Korea…

“Noona, what do you want to eat? I’ll cook it for you.” Hankyung said.

They are now back at the dorm.

“Seriously, guys, you treat me as if I am gone for a year. The five days I said didn’t even finished.” Hyo Yeon said. “But you can cook anything you want.”

Some of the members are on their schedules so Eunhyuk, Yesung and Hankyung are left in the dorm with Hyo Yeon.

“I’ll just help Hankyung in the kitchen.” Yesung said.

Eunhyuk and Hyo Yeon left in the living room while watching a movie.

“Thank you for saving my life.” Hyo Yeon suddenly said.

“It’s ok.” Eunhyuk said.

“I will do anything for you. I will be your guardian.” Eunhyuk whispered.

“Did you say something?” she asks.

“Nothing.” Eunhyuk said. “Mian.”

“For what?” she asks.

“For being mean to you.” He said.

“Gwenchana. I know it is hard for you to accept me as your bodyguard because I’m a woman but then, I almost reject this mission because for me it was insult. Can you imagine one of the great agents will be a bodyguard of a boy group?” she said.

“Then, what made you change your mind?” Eunhyuk asks.

“Because of a promise. When Agent BoA died, I promised myself that I will be like her. She’s my one and only idol. She accepts every mission, whether it is big or small, as long as the boss assigned her to that mission. That’s why she became our top agent. She gain the respect of every agents.” She said.

Hyo Yeon can’t help but to be sad remembering her.

“She died saving me.” She said.

Eunhyuk hugs her.

“Mian. Don’t cry now.” He said.

Hyo Yeon hugs him back.

“If only I can save her that time. It was my fault.” She said while crying.

“It is not your fault. I’m sure no one wanted that to happen. And I am sure that where she is, she is always watching you.” He said.

Hyo Yeon wipes her tears and get out from the hug.

“Thank you.” She said.

Eunhyuk caress her face while looking straight to her eyes.

“I’m always here for you. I’ll be your guardian no matter what happens.” He said.

Hyo Yeon is speechless. She is just also staring at Eunhyuk’s eyes.

Chapter XIX – The Ninja is Back

‘I’m always here for you. I’ll be your guardian no matter what happens.’

Eunhyuk’s words keeps on repeating on Hyo Yeon’s mind. She is so happy that she is important to Eunhyuk.

That night, while everyone is sleeping, a black ninja climbs up to Hyo Yeon’s balcony. She slowly opens the sliding door and enters the apartment.

She saw Hyo Yeon sleeping on her bed and after making sure that Hyo Yeon is in deep sleep, she took out her katana and aim Hyo Yeon’s heart.

Hyo Yeon felt that she is not alone in her room.

She opens her eyes and she saw the ninja lurking around her room.

She knew that the ninja will come after her and she is ready for her.

She pretend that she is sleeping but the truth is she is ready to her attack.

When the ninja is going to stab her, she moves to the right. She is about to get her gun on her night table but the ninja attacks her.

The Super Junior woke up when they heard noises coming from Hyo Yeon’s apartment.

“What’s going on?” Shindong asks.

Another noise came from Hyo Yeon’s apartment.

“She’s in trouble.” Eunhyuk said and runs.

Siwon, Kibum and Donghae followed him.

They knock on the door but no one is opening it. They keep hearing noises inside the apartment.

“Hyo! Open the door!” Eunhyuk shouts.

Meanwhile, Hyo Yeon is fighting the ninja using the knife she got from the kitchen.

She doesn’t hear the Super Junior calling her.

“What should we do?” Kibum asks.

Eunhyuk remembers something. He runs back to their dorm and went to the balcony.

The balcony from Hyo Yeon’s apartment is connected to their balcony. Eunhyuk jumps to Hyo Yeon’s balcony.

The apartment is all messed up.

He saw Hyo Yeon fighting with the ninja.

“Hyo Yeon!” he shouts.

Hyo Yeon and the ninja heard him.

“What are you doing here? Get out of here! It’s dangerous!” she shouts.

“I’ll help you.” He said.

“I can take care of myself!” she said while busy fighting the ninja.

“You can’t! You need help!” he said.

“I can!” she shouts.

“No! You’re just a girl! What can you do if you’re only a girl?!” Eunhyuk shouts.

Hyo Yeon is shock when she heard what Eunhyuk said.

Hyo Yeon suddenly stops fighting and can’t help but to remember her past.

“Your dad doesn’t know how to make a son. We are not allowing you to become the president of our company because you are just a girl! A girl should stay in the house just like your mother!”

“Your dad left you and your mom because of you, if you were just a boy, he has a chance to be the president but it will never happen!”

BANG!

Suddenly, the ninja was shot on her left leg. Eunhyuk turned around and he saw Onew holding a gun.

The ninja runs to the door and escape again.

Onew runs towards Hyo Yeon who is now unconscious. He carries her and put her down on the bed.

“Hyo, wake up.” He said while shaking her shoulders/

“Is she alright?” Eunhyuk asks.

“What did you tell her?!” Onew yells at him.

Eunhyuk was surprised when he saw anger at Onew’s eyes.

“I-I was trying to help her.” He said.

“You shouldn’t told her those words!” Onew yells.

“Why?” he asks.

Hyo Yeon murmured.

The 2 boys look at Hyo Yeon who is still unconscious.

“Onew…” she said.

Eunhyuk gets jealous when Hyo Yeon mentioned Onew’s name.

Onew hold Hyo Yeon’s hand. “I’m right here, Hyo.” He said.

Eunhyuk returns to their dormitory where his friends are waiting for him but they didn’t dare to ask him what happened when they saw him.

Chapter XX - CL or Bom?

After the incident, Hyo Yeon became quiet and ill-tempered. She always scold the Super Junior even though it is wrong. But after scolding them, she will apologize then leaves.

Hyo Yeon wasn’t the only that changed, even Eunhyuk changed. He doesn’t fool around and he always wants to be alone.

The other members are confused of what’s going on.

“Will you please move faster?! You’re going to be late to your schedule!” she yells.

“Gosh! This is the fifth time she yelled at us for today.” Ryeowook said to Yesung.

“Right. My ears are bleeding because of her yell.” Yesung said.

Hyo Yeon counts the Super Junior members.

“Where’s Shindong?” she asks.

Then, Shindong came running.

“I’m here!” he said.

“Get in! You’re super slow.” She said.

“Mianhae.” Shindong said.

Hyo Yeon closes the van’s door and went to her own car.

“She’s changed! What is wrong with her?” Siwon asks while inside the van.

“I’m sick of her yelling us.” Kang-in said.

“Me too. She’s our bodyguard not a boss.” Heechul said.

“She started to change when she fought with the ninja in her apartment.” Leeteuk said.

“Hyung, you were there when Hyo Yeon noona fought the ninja, right?” Kyuhyun asks.

“Ne.” he said.

“So, what happened?” Kibum asks.

Eunhyuk doesn’t want to answer the question. He, also, doesn’t know what happened too.

“I don’t know, too.” He said.

“If she keeps being like that, I’ll tell this to manager.” Heechul said.

“I’m sure she has a reason about this.” Hankyung said.

Hyo Yeon stands alone in the hallway while waiting for the Super Junior to finish their recording.

She feels sorry towards them because she keeps on yelling at them. But she can’t help it, every time she see Eunhyuk, it always reminds her what he said that night to her.

“Hyuna!” CL calls her.

She saw CL walking towards her. CL is wearing shorts and off-shoulder shirt. Then, she noticed that CL is wearing bandage on her left leg.

“Hello, CL.” She greets.

“Hi!” CL said.

“What happened to your left leg?” she asks.

“I got this when I was in the park.” CL said. “I need to go now.”

“Ok. See you next time.” She said.

After CL left, Hyo Yeon saw Bom looking at her. Bom is wearing a summer dress and she noticed the bandage on her left leg.

Bom is about to leave when Hyo Yeon called her.

“Park Bom!” she called her.

“How did you know my name?” Bom asks.

“CL told me.” She said.

“What do you want?” Bom asks.

“What happened to your leg?” she asks.

“None of your business, agent.” Bom said and left.

“Agent? She knew that I am an agent.” She said. “Does this mean she’s the murderer?”

On second thought, it can be CL too.

“I’m sure it is between CL and Bom.” She said.
