"The Amalgamate" or rather "Zero, Zero" is the act in which the timer embedded into one's wrist, visible to only the owner, hits zero after meeting one's soulmate. Once both parties have truly fallen for one another, the clocks will disappear.

Though, however, the clock does not hit "Zero, Zero" until one has truly fallen in the state of love. One's clock may hit Zero, while the other is yet to be close, leaving the other in the state of unrequited love until the other truly and whole-heartedly reciprocates the feeling back.

Though in a seemingly perfect world, everyone is able to get amalgamated, however, that is not the case. Those who are usually unable to be united with their soulmate is due to their clock being "Broken". In a case where one's clock is "Broken", they are usually knowns as those whose soulmate is lost. This is caused by a variety of reasons, by either the death of their soulmate before being amalgamated, or in very rare cases, the said soulmate falls in "true" love with someone else. If the situation occurs where one's timer is "Broken" it isn't impossible for them to truly find "true" love, but rather more difficult. Usually, the "Broken" clocks attract each other, but since love is like a wildcard, anyone can fall in love with anyone. If "Broken" clock owners find "true" love within each other, both clocks will repair one another,
