It took me a lot of time to actually gather enough courage to be able to confess to my best friend. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions as Hyukjae didn’t really believe it right away, like why would he, right?

Donghae smiled as he looked back at the beautiful scenery he have had been watching the same time over the past years with Hyukjae. Two years just gone by and the beauty still never falters. Sadly, they missed watching the sunrise together last year since Hyukjae was preoccupied and very busy. But luckily today, His baby made it! He was eagerly waiting for Hyukjae on the usual spot as he wanted to arrive here first before the other. He lifted his left hand and smiled, seeing the engagement ring he had prepared two years ago. Seeing the diamond sparkling against the twilight, his heart beats faster as the time draws near.

Deciding to stay and loving him is always the place of heaven for me. I wanted him to know how much I adore and loved him, showing him how I felt, just loving him.

Donghae took a deep breath again, inhaling the misty scent with closed eyes, warming his heart as he thinks of his Baby, his Love. He started clearing his throat.

“Hahahahaha!!!” Hyukee laughed so loud. We were watching Finding Dory on our usual Saturday date night.

My arms are wrapped around his shoulders while he leaned his back against the couch and my arms. As he continued to laugh on the scene played before him, I love watching how his eyes crinkled in the corners while he plastered his gummy smile so wide, boisterous laughters coming out. I couldn’t help but stare at him, ingraining all tiny details of his change in expression while being happy in my head.

I smiled, when I noticed a flushed on his face, probably feeling my stares at him. Hyukee whined, biting his lower lip out of embarrassment.

“I’m enjoying my view baby.” I said, placing a gentle kiss on his blushing cheeks.

Hyukee let out a groaned. “This is annoying.” He said, wiping off the spot where I kissed his cheek.

“Aww, don’t be Baby. I like staring at you.” I said, caressing his blushing cheeks gently. I really love it when he is shy like that.

He makes a face in an obvious disgust that I could only chuckled heartily in his facial expression.

“This is what you get for accepting me.”

“Who would have thought—a” He trailed teasingly, a small sad smile twitch on the corner of his luscious plump lips.

“You’re not being cute now.” I stated, whining childishly while I poked his cheek gently.

His sudden laughter startled me because at the exact moment, Destiny the whale shark jumped off the pool. “Ah, now you’re being cute.” I said, looking at him again, feeling content hearing him laugh out loud like that.

*FIVE DAYS AGO*

“Baby, what are you cooking?” I asked as I stood beside him, his brows furrowed as he carefully cut the vegetables of his dish for the day.

“Jajangmyeon.” He replied softly, his eyes squinting cutely reading the recipe on a sheet of paper he taped on the cupboard in front of him. “Why is cooking even this complicated?” He whined, a small pout protruding from his lips.

“You’re doing just fine, Hyukee-baby.” I reassured him, looking him over.

“Do you think this will work?” He whined again, his expression tells me he wanted to give it up already.

“You’ll never know unless you try.” I encouraged, looking at how his expressions really change so quickly over Jajangmyeon recipe.

Hyukee looked straight at me, looking so confused. I almost laughed out loud at his face if I wasn’t mesmerized by his doe like eyes staring at me cutely.

After a few burnt pans and noodles, he somehow managed to successfully cook it so I just quietly sit down on our dining table as I watched him running around like a headless chicken confused on what to do first.

“Baby, you’re so funny.” I chuckled, as he sits down opposite me with a pout.

“Well, I hope, it suits your taste.” He pushed the plate in front of me with that doubtful pout.

I grabbed the fork and tasted it. I smiled widely and looked up at him proudly, and laughing at his own bashful smile with a triumphant look.

A soft snore emitted from his slightly open plump lips that sticks out crazily, as I sat at the edge of our bed, just watching him sleep. One thing that I really love to do over the years is watching him sleep. It’s his most vulnerable but also the most precious and calm he is.

My hand gently went to brush off the few loose hair strands on his face and caressed his bloated cheeks. “Ah, baby, I’m being lured again by how beautiful you are.” I chuckled as I slowly move off the bed and kneeled down beside it instead.

“You are so beautiful, I’m so lucky to be love by you.” I whispered, leaning closer and place a soft kiss on his nose, then his cheek.

“Hae—‘’ Hyukee whimpered softly. I couldn’t help but chuckled quietly at the thought that he is still doing this, talking back while asleep.

“Yes, baby?” I asked, as I just basked in his calm face and continue caressing his cheek and head.
