First Chapter
Oh, Hyung, Actually I'm A Boy Too
“Yoonji, darling, let’s go meet the new baby!”
“Baby?” Yoonji curiously looked up at her eomma who was happily smiling at her youngest child, the little girl clad in pink overalls and a black pinafore dress.
“Yes, baby. Remember when I told you that Mr. and Mrs. Park had a baby? We’re gonna meet the baby, Jimin, so you can be friends!” her mother explained, lifting up her baby girl up and going to fetch the older child, her son, so they can go to the Parks’ apartment exactly three floors under their own.
The walk to the other apartment wasn’t that long, but it was something that needed concentration from the only-three-year-old Yoonji and her five-year-old oppa. Their mom was following them both carefully, holding Yoonji’s right and Junki’s left hand.
“Hi, Mrs. Park!” The kids said happily, smiling at the tired looking lady holding a small bundle.
“Hello Junki, Hello Yoonji!” Mrs. Park smiled at the kids, hugging their mother as a hello and letting her take the baby from her tired arms.
“Go to sleep, dear, we’ll take care of Jimin and heat up the food I brought!” the mother of two said, ushering her friend to go to the bedroom.
Yoonji stared at her mom. Why had mom brought food here? Could Yoonji hold the baby? Was the baby a girl or a boy? Or like Yoonji? But eomma had said Yoonji is just playing a boy and didn’t believe when she had told her that she wasn’t a girl. So she hadn’t said it again.
“Can Yoon’i hold ‘iminnie?” the second youngest in the room asked with her beautiful high pitched voice. She didn’t like how she couldn’t say all the letters, but neither could oppa, so it was fine.
“Okay, darling, would you go sit on the couch so I can give Jimin to you?” Yoonji nodded happily, running to sit on the Parks’ dark leather couch. Climbing up carefully, she turned into a sitting position and looked at her mom with her hands held out.
