Ma Yaling was given the gift of undeniable beauty. Her parents only wanted a child who could continue the family name of popularity, fame, and fortune. Both her grandparents on both sides of the family were popular and wealthy, and both her parents received that gift. Her mother was a famous actress and former model, and her father owned a famous worldwide restaurant chain. Her older sister, Chia-hui became a famous artist and her older brother, Chun-chieh became a highly respected surgeon. Neither of her siblings received the blessing and acceptance from their parents though. When Yaling was a child, her mother forced her into acting. She enjoyed it, but once she started high school her mother decided Yaling was to become a model. Yaling's mother forced her to drop out of school so she could focus on her career. Her dream of moving to Seoul was beginning to fade. Her best friend, Guanlin had fulfilled his share of the dream and had successfully moved to Seoul and won a spot in the new boy group Wanna One. Now he was waiting for her to join him there. Her parents would never let her go anywhere unless it had to do with modeling. When she was losing sight of their dream, she gets the opportunity of a lifetime. She could join a modeling company in Seoul, but she wasn’t expecting for what waits for her there. Everything seemed to have been going smoothly, but what she thought was a dream come true could possibly become a nightmare.
Foreword
I felt myself slowly begin to wake up. I felt so refreshed. That was one of the best night of sleep I’ve gotten for such a long time. I tried rolling over in my bed, but my body wouldn’t move. My arms and legs felt really heavy and stiff. I tried opening my eyes. I found myself staring up at an unfamiliar ceiling. I tried turning my neck but I couldn’t. What was happening to me and where was I? I felt something on my fingers. Something warm. I tried wiggling my fingers. I saw the top of someone’s head slowly move up.
“Yaling?” I heard them say my name.
“Taehyung? Where am I?” I asked as I tried looking around the room.
“You’re in the hospital. The stage collapsed as you were performing and you broke several bones and really twisted your neck. None of the breaks were too severe though. You will have to be here for a while but they did say you’ll be back to normal with time. You were lucky and didn’t hurt anything worse than you did. I was really worried about you. So was...you know who.” Taehyung gripped onto my fingertips tightly.
“Where is he?” I could feel my eyes begin to feel as I thought about the man I love.
This was all because of that stalker. He was the one who caused the stage to fall. I just couldn’t seem to find out who he was. After I told the members about this guy that had been stalking me they tried looking out for me, but no one had any luck. He always seemed to find me alone and vulnerable. He even started that rumor about Taehyung and I.
Remembering about the rumor, I glared at Tae. He was also partially at fault for my broken heart. If he had told everyone the truth I wouldn’t be in this mess. I would still be with him. He should be the one by my side.Not Taehyung. I missed him. As tears began falling from my eyes, there was a knock on the door.
“Can I come in?” I stared at the door in amazement as the man my heart was yearning for was standing in the doorway to my room.
The tears from my eyes started flowing down my cheeks as I tried lifting my arms up towards him. He quickly ran over to me and hugged me.
“I’m so sorry Yaling. Taehyung told me everything. I’m sorry I didn’t believe you. I was just jealous and scared. I didn’t want him to take you away from me. I love you, Yaling. I’ve always loved you.”
I started crying harder as I finally heard him tell me his true feelings.
“I love you too, Yoongi.”
