It was the silence total. Nobody was talking except the teacher who was explaining how to calculate an integral. Instead of paying attention to today's lesson, I was playing with my pen, glancing sometimes at my friends who were busy sleeping or else throwing paper dumplings at each other like kids. Indeed, it was very boring and not interesting at all. Everyone were drawing, laughing discreetly while whispering, and texting or maybe ting, who knows ?

But when someone knocked on the door, M. Lee, my math teacher, a man who was as peaceful and boring as a platypus, let out a small sigh before allowing the person to come in.

'intimidating' was the word perfect to depict this moment. It was surprising how everyone turned to her as she made her entrance toward us with her long glossy black hair, hiding a proportion of her face. Her eyes travelled over the pupils and when our eyes met, I suddenly felt shivers all over my body.

Her stare was so piercing that it could slice my heart in two.

"My name is Lee Heejin, nice to meet you." She finally spoke up, breaking this long and silent staring between us.
