When Jungwoo opened his eyes, he knew he wasn’t in his room anymore. He was standing upright in a quiet alley. Everything was dark and it took a Jungwoo a while to adjust to the darkness. When he did, he almost wished he didn’t.

He took a step back as he stared at the horrifying sight in front of him. Five males lies on the cemented floor, all beaten up and bloody. Jungwoo was about to scream when he noticed his hands, his bloody hands. 

‘What is happening? Jungwoo wanted to say, “where am I?’

He tried to speak but it seems like he can’t. Panic started to seep in but before Jungwoo can do anything about it, a figure stepped out of the shadow. A shorter male casually walked up to Jungwoo and patted his back.

“Damn, Xi, you really went wild here, buddy,” the guy said as he nudged one of the bodies on the floor with his left foot. “TY said to scare them, not beat them black and blue.”

Jungwoo’s hand suddenly moved on its own and wiped his mouth.

 “They were getting annoying. One pulled out a knife,” a voice said. it took Jungwoo a moment to realize that the voice came from within him. But he didn’t talk?

“Idiots, they know weapons aren’t allowed in our turf,” the guy mumbled. He kicked the same body on the ground and turned to Jungwoo. “Xuxi, are you gonna report back tonight or..?”

‘Xuxi?’ Jungwoo thought, ‘Who’s that?’

“Nah, I’m gonna try to get some Z’s, man. It’s been three days since I actually slept. I need to try again.” Jungwoo started to walk away. He heard the guy behind him mumble something but Jungwoo didn’t catch it.

Jungwoo was about to leave the alley before everything went dark.

The next thing Jungwoo knew, he was back in his room and was breathing heavily. He looked at his wall clock and groaned. It was still 5:27 in the morning. 

“It’s too early for this,” Jungwoo whined. He stopped when he heard his voice, his real voice, talking and he scrambled up. He checked his surroundings to make sure he’s in his room and fortunately, he was.

Lying back down, Jungwoo wiped the sweat from his forehead. “What was that? A dream?”

Jungwoo was silent for a while as he let his thoughts run wild. ‘What happened? Was i dreaming? That was some really intense lucid dream. it almost felt like…’

Jungwoo sat up again and his eyes were wide. His heart started beating really fast as he pieced everything together.

“Did I just… dream about my soulmate?
