Byulyi jolts awake as her doorbell rings like how a school bell shrills. 

She chances a glance to the wall clock and curses beneath her breath.

(It mocks her with flashes of a glaring red 4:44pm.)

‘Seulgi, in a scale of one to ten, how mad would you be if I tell you I just woke up?’

The doorbell stops, before a sharp intake of breath is heard. 

‘BYULYI UNNIE!!!!’

Byulyi didn’t know that Seulgi could hit a note that high.

‘Damn.’ Byulyi swallows and rushes to open the door and receive her guest. Kang Seulgi purses her lips as her eyes come across tear-stained cheeks and bloodshot eyes.

The member of Red Velvet sighs and says, ‘You look like . No offense.’

Byulyi sighs, going to her room to change. ‘Offense taken. I feel like .’

Seulgi trails behind her and pushes Byulyi down the bed. 

Byulyi grins and sits up, ‘Didn’t know you liked topping. Are we-…’

Seulgi snorts, cutting her off. She sends her a smile, ‘Please don’t delude yourself into thinking that, unnie.’

Byulyi smirks, ‘I mean, don’t you wanna tap this?’ she rolls over an drums her fingers against her .

Seulgi laughs, ‘Please. Why would I tap your nonexistent when I’ve got a very fine one at home?’

Byulyi laughs in amusement, curious eyes never leaving the younger's frame.

Seulgi throws the latter's closet doors open and rummages through the clothes. She resurfaces after a minute, chucking a white turtleneck sweater, a black blazer, and well-ironed black pants at Byulyi. Byulyi looks at it quizzically.

‘Wow… Whose fiancé will we steal that I have to dress up like that?’

Seulgi snorts and grins at her, ‘Just be a kind unnie and wear it for me, unnie, please?’ she says it with a dab of aegyo.

Byulyi rolls her eyes and starts undressing, a smile quirking the corners of her lips up. ‘Your orders will be followed, your grace.’

‘Good, peasant. Oh, and tuck the front of the shirt in too.’ Seulgi comments before going out, ‘It looks really, really good on you. It kills all your fangirls, but they love it though.’

Byulyi, now dressed in the outfit Seulgi forced her to don, steps out into the living room, where Seulgi is. The latter paces, her phone against her ear, whispering hushed phrases. Byulyi frowns in confusion.

‘This looks like you’re shipping me off.’ The older comments, tugging on her collar. The younger jolts in surprise, nearly dropping her phone.

‘Jesus Mary and Joseph!’ the vocalist exclaims, her hand on her chest. The person on the other end of the line laughs in static. Byulyi grins, ‘Well, sorry to disappoint, my name is Moon Byulyi.’

Seulgi feels like punching the smug girl, ‘Oh, haha. Real funny I feel like pissing my pants. Anyway,’ she returns to her phone, saying a quick ‘See you there.’ Before promptly pressing the end button. Byulyi thinks she should fear for her life as Seulgi looks at her with a smirk.

‘Should I be scared?’ Byulyi asks, swallowing uncertainly. Her friend shoots her a saccharine smile, ‘Of course not, unnie. Do you not trust me?’
Seulgi's hand darts out to clasp around the older girl's wrist, and Byulyi thinks it’s more like a hand cuff to prevent her from running off.
‘Let’s go.’ Seulgi all but drags her out of her apartment.
