Addiction
Addicted To Your SmileIt was now evening. We all gathered in Jeongyeon, Momo and Jihyo's room to discuss our plans for the next day.
"So," Jeongyeon stated, "what should we tomorrow?"
"Let's just go around this place maybe? I don't want to do anything too stressing," Tzuyu suggested.
We all agreed to her plan and spent the rest of the evening chatting within ourselves.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
After dinner, I was walking outside in the dark, all by myself when I felt someone's hand on my shoulder.
I turned to look back.
Mina stood there, smiling softly at me.
I smiled back instantly.
Mina slowly stood next to me and started walking at the same pace as me.
"Aren't you sleepy?" I asked.
"Mm-mm," Mina shook her head.
"You should sleep now, we have a long day tomorrow," I said, secretly hoping she would leave before all my feelings started to build up again.
Mina gave me a side glance and suddenly stopped walking.
"Chaeyoung," she began, "Have you already gotten over the past? All the feelings? Did they disappear?"
I stopped functioning for a moment.
I tried to recollect the moment, did I hear that right? Did she really ask me THAT?
"Huh? Well," I stuttered, "I... uh... actually-"
"Why are you two up now? Go to your rooms," Jeongyeon interrupted out of nowhere.
I was rather satisfied that she interrupted because I really didn't want to answer Mina's question.
I realized, the more I would stay here, the more tension would build up.
"You're right I kind of am sleepy... Good night!" I said and went inside the hotel, but instead of going to back to my room, I stood by one of the windows at the hotel corridor and observed Mina and Jeongyeon outside.
Mina looked at Jeongyeon and told her something. The two of them seemed to be having a conversation.
Jeongyeon seemed to have told Mina something that made her laugh.
Jeongyeon held Mina's hand as she laughed and they started heading back towards the hotel.
I hurried to my room as soon as I could and went off to bed.
But something lingered on my mind through the night:
Mina's joyful laughter and her peculiar question.
