A week passed by very quickly. The princes got closer together as well as with the council members. There were moments when they disagreed with one another but it was manageable nonetheless. The day started out like all the others this week, he woke up in Eunhyuk’s arms even though they fell asleep with a gap in between them.

“Hyuk~ wake up” Donghae spoke softly as he poked Eunhyuk’s cheek with his index finger. Eunhyuk let out a small groan and refused to open his eyes. Donghae giggled at the sight of Eunhyuk. He looked so peaceful and childlike.

“Eunhyuk~ either wake up or let me out of bed, how do you always manage to cage me with your arms and legs?” Donghae pouted.

Eunhyuk still has his eyes closed but there was a smile playing on his lips.

“Lemme go”

“No, don’t wanna”

“Eunhyuk~ you gotta”

“Why~ I don’t wanna, you’re warm”

“Correction, I’m hot, I’m very well aware. Now stop being a child and let me go”

Eunhyuk grumbled and let his makeshift pillow get away. Donghae showered and got ready for the day. Today there would be some upper-class officials from the kingdom of Void, visiting the castle.

“Hey, Hyuk, you told me about a week ago that the last time you had blood was three weeks then, does that mean you need to drink blood soon?”

“Hmm? Probably, I’ll ask butler Joon to bring a human..”

“No, I’m telling you, I’m here. Why would you drink someone else’s blood when your husband is a human.”

“If you say so, be prepared for it then,” Eunhyuk said, continuing breakfast.

Later that afternoon Eunhyuk found Donghae reading a book in the flower part of the garden. As Donghae wanted, half of the garden was vegetables and half was flowers.

“Are you still on that book?”

“Yes, why?”

“You’ve been reading it since forever,” Eunhyuk declared

“You mean for like a week?”

“Something like that, what book is it?”

“Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare.” Donghae started, “it’s a tragic love story”

“Sounds like it, tell me what it’s about,” Eunhyuk said. He loved hearing Donghae’s voice. Donghae explained the story to Eunhyuk and Eunhyuk listened carefully. The more time he spent with Donghae the more he felt thankful towards their marriage. Donghae balanced him perfectly, and he always kept Donghae in check.

“We have guests coming for an early dinner today, they’re Kyuhyun’s parents,” Eunhyuk said once Donghae finished his summary of the story

“Speaking of Kyu, I definitely think that he has a thing for Min”

“Really?”

“Yeah, no, seriously, have you seen the way he looks at Min?”

“I’ll keep my eyes out for it,”

“I have a good feeling about today,” Donghae said getting up after bookmarking the page he was on.

“Let’s go get ready” he took Eunhyuk’s hand in his and walked to their room.

To Donghae skin-ship was normal. He held hands with his other friends and linked arms with them too. But something about Eunhyuk made him feel like it was different. A good different.

To Eunhyuk skin-ship was not normal, however, he didn’t mind when Donghae touched him.
