Foreword

[ I'm new at writing stories, but I will do my best to improve. ]

Republic North Tansei - This is a fictional city where the events of the story will take place.

Kanzai - This is a fictional board game based on the author's imagination (To know more, please read this whole paragraph). Kanzai is a board game similar to Chess and Go, two board games with similar origins. Kanzai also includes a king for its game, and loses by checkmate or Frei. The game consists of two kings and zero queens. It has three marshals, two spies, one leutant, four assassins, and fifteen soldiers. By checkmate, one king has been captured by the opposing player, which gives them three points throghout the match, and Frei if both. The game ends as soon as one player reaches twenty points, and the loser gets a penalty. The marshals serves as the king's watchdogs, they are able to move like a horse chess piece, worth 3 points if eaten. The spies serve as an ace and they are most forward to attack in common terms, they are able to move like a bishop chess piece, worth 3 points if eaten. The leutant serves as the most important figure second to the two kings, it is able to move like a queen chess piece, worth 5 points if eaten. The four assassins are top attackers, but they hold a minimum of their moves, they are able to move like a rook chess piece, but they can only move in a maximum of six blocks in the board, worth 2 points if eaten. The soldiers are moved as a pawn chess piece, and they hold the same value, but they may move a maximum of 3 steps and are able to move backwards in the game, worth 1 point if eaten.

Frei - This is a fictional word and this is the other term for checkmate in the form of Kanzai. This occurs when both kings are in a checkmate and gives the player five points in the board game.
