“What’s wrong with her?” Eunbi— the older one— playfully prodded Yerin on her cheek before pointing at Yewon who had an obvious pout on her lips as she stared out of the window.

The trio were in the music room after lessons had ended to spend time together as much as possible before Yerin and Eunbi graduate. Yuna was supposed to join them too but unfortunately, she was stuck at home needing to rest.

“Yuna has chicken pox,” Yerin answered and quickly laced her fingers with Eunbi’s before the latter could poke her again. “So, our dear Yewon here is sulking because she won’t be able to see her girlfriend until she’s healed.”

“Ah, so that’s why I didn’t see Yuna in class earlier,” Eunbi nodded her head slowly, finally understanding the situation.

Letting out a long sigh, Yewon pulled her gaze away from the window and turned to face her two friends, her eyes immediately fixated on their intertwined fingers. Was she missing something here? Seeing how Yerin was mindlessly playing with Eunbi fingers as she talked to the latter and how the air around them felt different, Yewon couldn’t help but be curious of only one thing: Are they a thing? Like Yuna and herself?

Another sigh left Yewon’s lips as thoughts of the older girl flashed in her mind again. Why did Yuna have to get ill at the wrong timing? Prom was coming up soon and she doubted that Yuna would be in a healthy state by then. It takes at most two weeks for the spots to disappear and the event was around the same week.

“You should stop being all sulky, Yewon,” Eunbi skipped to Yewon’s side and enveloped her into a hug, cheek pressing against the latter’s. “I don’t like seeing our Yewon—”

“We,” Yerin corrected, eyes squinted at the pair who was too close to each other for her liking. “We don't like seeing you sad. I’m sure Yuna will be fine and you'll get to see her soon.”

“I know, I know,” Yewon scrunched her nose up slightly, allowing Eunbi to cling onto her. “It's just weird not being able to see her on a school day since she rarely falls sick.”

“I didn't expect you to be this whipped for Yuna,” Yerin commented, still amused with the fact that her young, innocent friend was in love with the weird choir leader.

“I’m not whipped for her,” Yewon defended herself. “I’m just worried about her. Yuna doesn’t get sick.”

“She’s human too, Yewon,” Eunbi pointed out.

“Exactly,” Yerin said. “You’re definitely whipped for Yuna.”

Yewon could only sigh again. It was two against one. Of course, she wouldn’t win. Yerin and Eunbi would always take the chance to whenever they can and she could never win against them alone.

Yewon needed her Yuna to back her up.

“I miss you.”

A soft laughter left Yuna’s lips hearing those words coming from Yewon the moment the latter answered her call. Having been in bed the whole day, being able to finally hear her girlfriend’s voice made her heart warm and a smile to instantly form on her lips.

“I miss you hearing you laugh too,” Yewon added.

“It has only been a day, Yewon.” Yuna’s eyes were closed as she focused on listening to the younger girl’s voice only. “But I miss you too.”

“You’re resting well, right?”

“I am,” Yuna smiled. “What did you do with Yerin and Eunbi earlier?”

“Nothing much,” Yewon answered. “Most of the time, it was just them teasing me.”

Yuna could imagine that her girlfriend had her cheeks puffed up and eyebrows slightly furrowed as she spoke. If only her sickness wasn’t contagious, she wouldn’t have to miss school. She wouldn’t have to miss Yewon and her adorable expressions whenever she gets teased.

“Yuna.”

The said girl felt her heart skipped a beat hearing Yewon calling out her name warmly in a soft voice. “Hm?”

“Can you sing for me?”

It was a request Yuna could never say no to. She was always more than happy to sing for Yewon whenever and wherever. It was one of her favourite things to do for the her. “Do you have any song you want me to sing in particular?”

“Not really,” Yewon said. “I just want to hear you sing. I don’t mind the song.”

It didn’t take long for Yuna to pick a song. Clearing , she then started to sing.

About not too long ago, I woke up feeling kind of blue
So I picked up my phone and I decided that I hit up you
So then we talked for a little while, ask me if I could roll through
So we met up, got food, and we spent time till the night was through

Can I call you my own, and can I call you my lover
Call you my one and only girl
Can I call you my everything, call you my baby
You're the only one who runs my world

“Sometimes, I think you’re too much,” Yewon uttered a few seconds after Yuna stopped singing. “Out of all songs, you just had to… you— You’re really too much, Choi Yuna.”

Another laughter escaped Yuna’s lips. Yewon’s reaction to the song she had sang was just the reaction she was hoping for. She couldn’t help but to grin proudly at herself for picking the right song. “So, can I call you all that?”

“Maybe, Yerin and Eunbi are right,” Yewon sighed.

“What are they right about?” Yuna raised a brow, curious as to why Yewon suddenly mentioned their two friends’ name.

“That I’m whipped for you.” Yewon’s voice was slightly muffled but it was clear enough for Yuna to understand. She instantly bit on her lower lip to prevent herself from bursting into laughter. Kim Yewon was too cute. Calming herself down, she pretended not to have heard it and playfully asked, “That you’re what?”

“I spoke loud enough, Yuna,” Yewon groaned out loud. The older girl was sure the former’s face had turned red from the confession.

“You see… I got distracted and I didn’t quite hear that,” Yuna unknowingly pouted as she spoke.

“I’m not going to repeat myself, Choi Yuna.”

“This is why both the Jungs enjoy teasing you, Yewon,” Yuna chortled. “You’re too easy to tease.”

“Why did I fall for you?” Yuna knew Yewon was smiling as she asked her that.

“Because I’m irresistible.”

“You’re too full of yourself.”

“You love me though.”

“Unfortunately, I do,” Yewon playfully sighed.

Those words didn’t fail to make Yuna smile widely. It was indirect but still, it made her happy. “You’re definitely whipped for me.”

“Yah, Choi Yuna!” Yewon whined. “I’m going to hang up if you’re going to continue teasing me.”

Glancing at the clock on her wall, Yuna was surprised to find out that they had been talking for an hour already. “You should sleep, Yewon. You have school tomorrow.”

“But it’s only eleven p.m.”

As much as Yuna wanted to continue talking to Yewon, she did not want the latter to lose sleep because of her.

“I’ll call you again tomorrow.”

“Promise?”

Yuna smiled again. Her girlfriend was like a child sometimes.

“I promise.”

Yuna wouldn’t say it out loud but she was just as whipped for Yewon, her best friend who was now her whole world.
