You lay on your mattress staring at the ceiling, aimlessly drawing shapes with the cracks along the surface. The nurse had come in a while ago to inform you that you were being transferred. She said the reason was because their procedures didn’t seem to work on your disorder; that it was for the best.

Lies. They all had given up on you, that was it. Just like every other facility you had been to, they had transferred you to another one a few weeks afterwards. You bet this wouldn’t be much different, so you silently accepted her nonsense.
