Chapter 1 : My mistake was making you a priority, when i was your second choice

It started with a single phone call. A call which ruined everything that they had built for years. The trust that they have placed with all their heart were now broken into million pieces. Neither Yeul nor Taehyung expected it would end up that way. If they were to talk about the memories that they shared, it was indeed plenty. Sometimes, a day would not be enough to reminisce that oh-used-to-be-wonderful-times.

Yes, her marriage with Taehyung started off on the wrong foot. They were not in love enough to get themselves involved in this lifetime commitment. Entering the 3rd year of their marriage, Yeul assumed there’s nothing to be worried off. She was too comfortable with this relationship.

Yeul learned to love Taehyung with all her heart. She never questioned Taehyung’s feelings for her. Love is not solely based on the words that you utter everyday but through your actions as well. Guess, Taehyung’s actions were enough to prove that he also felt the same way.

The breathless night under the moonlight.

The look that he used to give her every time they made love.

How could she inquire him when it was crystal clear who’s in his heart?

Little did she know, it was so wrong to not doubt Taehyung’s feelings at first place. She didn’t see this coming. She was not ready to face this hurtful betrayal that’s about to ruin her life forever.

Taehyung is cheating on her.

This time he was not ashamed to explicitly announce it to his little world. He made it clear that he was seeing someone else behind her. The bitter truth was not easy for her to swallow. To find out the girl that Taehyung had been seeing all this time was her own best friend. Her world crumbled apart.

The fact that Taehyung kept the thing silent and made no effort to talk it out openly irked Yeul to the core. If only look could kill, Taehyung would be dead by now. Ever since she caught him cheating on her, Taehyung rarely came back home like he usually does. The most would be thrice a week but most of the time he would stay outside prolly ing his shameful .

Her heart was as hard as rock now that there was no one to melt it, embracing it with care. She hated Taehyung, yet she could not stop herself from worrying about him. Every time he left without words without a single message to tame her wild heartbeat, Seul found herself fall into the darkness again.

“Tae..Where are you going?” said Yeul bitterly. He fixed his hair through the mirror and glanced at his wife briefly “Out. Don’t wait for me. I won’t be back.” Taehyung reminded.

She inhaled deeply gathering strength to face her unfaithful husband “ Are you by any chance…with Kira tonight?” Taehyung rolled his eyes in annoyance, facing the distressed woman.

“How does this thing concern you?” he furrowed his brows, wondering.

Yeul guffawed sarcastically “I am your wife Kim Taehyung. Do I need a reason to ask you this?” Taehyung seemed unbothered by Yeul tone of voice. Even though he knew she didn’t take the news of him having an affair that well, he’d still provoke the furious woman to make sure he had the upper hand.

“You have the answers with you babe, does it answer your questions?” he clucked his tongue showing off his arrogance. She cringed at the nickname that he gave her though it was not new but nowadays it felt so wrong in her ears.

She stared at his back contemplating whether to ask him another question since she feared of Taehyung’s answers. Grabbing his phone on the nightstand, he was about to leave the house until Yeul’s gentle voice stopped him on track.

“Will you be staying with her tomorrow and the day after?” she swallowed the lump in as her gaze ran over the empty wall in front of her. Taehyung felt himself boiling in rage, getting annoyed by his wife interrogation “Why are you asking so many questions today? Didn’t I make myself clear that I won’t be coming back home tonight so live with it” he ran fingers in his hair angrily, almost tugging the poor soul off from its roots.
