He was already late for work again and had to shoot a message to Taehyung to stall for him. Taehyung had sent him back an ‘okay’, followed by a middle finger emoji.   Jimin bolted across campus, ignoring the surrounding students, at this point he was worried about getting fired. He somehow managed to get to the other side of campus in less than 7 minutes, making him only 5 minutes late. He pulled open the door to Vapor Flames’ Coffee Shop with a huff, and was greeted by the smell of savory coffee and sound of college students, chattering. Taehyung was busying himself at the cash register, taking orders. Beside Taehyung were his hyungs, making drinks and food with much haste. Jimin moved through the coffee shop on quick feet and managed to dodge the incoming traffic of students. He went through the back to clock in, before apologizing quickly to their manager, Namjoon.   “Taehyung told me already, and besides, you’re only late by 5 minutes this time,” Namjoon gave a his signature dimple smile to the latter before shuffling back into his office with his clipboard. Jimin quickly changed into his uniform and pulled the apron on, as he rushed towards the front. Yoongi and Hoseok greeted him which he returned back with a wave and smile.   “About time, you jackass,” Taehyung remarked when Jimin arrived next to him, logging into the second terminal. “Sorry man, Dr. Bang had to spend 10 minutes, explaining ATP to us.” Jimin chuckled when Taehyung’s face scrunched up in response. “Dear lord, don’t remind me, I already sat through his 9 AM class,” Taehyung responds before turning to the next customer to take their order. Jimin giggled before signaling to the next customer in line.   After an hour or two, the coffee shop had gotten quiet with only 2 customers inside; both were getting ready to leave. Yoongi and Hoseok already clocked out and had left for their lecture, leaving him with Taehyung in the coffee shop, surrounded by quiet jazz music. Taehyung was busying himself with homework, given that he had a date with Jungkook tonight. “Talk to me, Taeeee~” Jimin whined. “I can’t, Jungkook is taking us to a meet and greet for Yulmu Appa,” Taehyung said as he concentrated on deciding how much ATP is produced from the Calvin Cycle. Jimin pouts in annoyance. “Seriously, you guys and Overwatch!” Jimin complained as he fidgeted with his phone. “I mean, you could also be doing your homework,” Taehyung suggested as he looked over at the pink haired man. Jimin huffed out, “Nah, I can just do it tonight. I don’t have plans anyways.” Taehyung closed his eyes and shook his head, “Lazy, lazy, Chimmy. You never know, maybe you will get plans for tonight.” Jimin sent a confused look toward his friend’s way but his friend had chosen to ignore him and returned back to doing his assignment. The door of the coffee shop opened, the light sound of the bell hitting the door rang in the two baristas ears. Jimin stood up but did not bother to greet the new customer, instead focusing on what Taehyung had said. “I highly doubt I will-” “Hey, you know, a customer comes in, you would normally greet them,” a joking deep voice cuts off Jimin.
