My Last First Love

My Last First Love [One Shot]

At year 2012, who would still believe in ghosts? This modern world has made it stereotypical for a ghost to be an old scary
creature that takes people's lives. Passing through a living body making them shiver in fear. In year 2012...does real ghost
still exist as we use to know it?

He doesn't believe so, Lee Hyukjae, a dance coach in secondary school. He doesn't believe in ghost at all...until...

"Yah, Heechul-ah...why are your legs spread so wide? make a smaller step next time." he said walking towards one of his students.
"Shindong, I like the spin you did awhile a go. That was sharp. Very good." he said as he continuously walks around his
students. "Yah... Choi Siwon, your body has to move as well, not just your head!"
He shook his own head as he started walking in front again clapping his hands. "Alright, let's try everything from the top!
I want to see dance!!"

He's not really a strict teacher, but he's a perfectionist...and he doesn't like it if his students will just slack in his
class.

He was doing a series of lock routine, showing the whole figures to his students when someone disturbed him. An average height
guy with sparkling eyes, walking around him, blocking his way... "that lock is quite cool...not bad." he said pouting as he
scrutinize the young teacher.

Hyukjae stopped and looked at the man walking around him, he thought he was a student since he seem to be at the same age with
the rest...including him. "Yah, stop blocking my way and go to your place."

The class looked at each other wondering what Coach Hyukjae was talking about when they are clearly sitting down watching him do
 the routine on his own.

Hyukjae continued the routine he started by showing a couple of chestpops and moonwalks. The man who was standing around him
smiled. "Smooth...try doing a body wave." The coach crossed his eyebrows and stupidly made a body wave which was not part of
the routine. He felt irritated. "Yah!" he said, catching his breath. One of his students turned off the music player when they
saw the coach getting mad, what's wrong with coach today?

"Yah... I told you to go back to your place." Hyukjae said, wiping his sweaty forehead.

The man looked behind and thought Hyukjae was talking to someone but there was none. "Are you talking to me?" he asked the
coach. The panting teacher felt annoyed. "Yah...do you think I'm talking to a ghost? Of course, I'm talking to you!" he told the
man, making the latter pause. Hyukjae check on his watch and shook his head.
"Aish...time is wasted." he turned to his class who suddenly wondered why Coach Hyukjae is talking loudly to himself. "Alright...
class is over. I'll see you next week."

The whole class left and now it's turn for Coach Hyukjae to shower first before leaving. In the school's shower room, he knows
he is alone so he took his time to wash his body. He covered his face with soap and face the shower to wash it but suddenly, it
was turned off. Good thing his eyes was already free of soap making him able to open his eyes. Right there in the same shower
cubicle, he saw the same man smiling, holding the faucet. Obviously, he's the one who turned it off.

Being and all, Hyukjae doesn't know which part of his body to cover, will he cover his private part to keep his innocence
or will he cover his face for embarassment? In the end, he chose to shout. "Yah! Why are you peeping on me?!"

The man showed his cute dinosaur teeth as he smiled. "You can really see me." he said with much delight. Hyukjae closed his eyes
shortly and blow air shortly showing that he is really pissed this time. "Yah... do you think I'm playing with you? I can see
you, I can even push you." he said pushing the man making the latter step back but instead of getting angry...he even felt
delighted. "Get the hell out of the shower area!"

The latter man did not move at all, instead he looked at Hyukjae intensely making the dance coach blush...
"yah... I told you to go out-"

"You have to help me." The latter man said holding the coach on his wet shoulders. Hyukjae shivered when he felt the man's cold
hands on his skin. Can't he just wait for him to finish showering before asking for his help?!

They found themselves sitting in front of each other inside the studio. "What do you want?"

"You have to help me find my grave."

"Grave?" Hyukjae asked sourly. Who on earth is this person to have a grave even before dying? He shook his head..."What's your
name again?"
*
The man in front of him sighed. "Donghae. Lee Donghae. Yah... at least have some humanly manners to remember other's name."

"Sorry about that, Donghae sshi? Why would I look for your grave...it's not like...you're dead, right?"

Donghae smiled once again. "I like you...you have sense of humor." he said covering his mouth slightly. "I mean...why is it
impossible for me to look for my grave?"

"Because... graveyards are only for those who are dead."

"What makes you think I'm not dead?"

"Because I can touch you. Ghost, if there's such thing, only passes through a living people...you don't."

"What's the year right now?"

"2012."

"exactly, you've already passed Sadako's genre, why are you still stuck in that stereotype ghost?"

"Ah... I'm going crazy." Hyukjae said as he stand up holding his head with two hands. Donghae smiled watching him.

"Just do me a favour... I promise to leave you once you find my grave."

"If I don't do it?" Hyukjae asked looking at him.
"You'll regret it." Donghae said with a naughty smile. The coach just shook his head and ignored the so-called ghost. He doesn't
believe that Donghae was dead. He can touch the latter and even though his hands are cold, the point that he can touched Donghae
makes him alive.

He didn't promise anything, the next day the other group that he is teaching are all present and are warming up when he saw
Donghae standing at a corner. He ignored the dead. "Ok, let's start!" he said clapping.

The first routine was done nicely however, in the middle of the second routine, Donghae started bugging him.

"That dance move doesn't really suit your style. Pop and locks are your thing...stop being group jazzy, come on!"

Hyukjae just ignored him as he focused on teaching the dance steps. "Yah...yah, that lying down part doesn't look good at all.
Might as well change it to a kick or maybe a-"

"Argh. Just shut up!" Hyukjae said being pissed. Donghae looked at him and suddenly almost burst in laughter. The former looked
at his students who suddenly stopped from dancing. He his lips and started. "Sorry... this guy is bugging me since
yesterday, I'm already pissed off." he looked at his side where Donghae is supposedly standing up but he was gone. He looked
around wondering where he could be. "Y-you did see him, right? He's been here before I came."

"Coach...we only see you coming from that door. Besides, you've been looking so distracted since a while ago."

He crossed his eyebrows and looked to the side to see the teasing Donghae. "There he is...see?"he said pointing to where the
man is but he see no reaction from his students.

"You have to start believing ghost exists, Hyukjae ah..."

At the end of the class, Hyukjae looked at Donghae still not believing the latter. "Y-you really are..."

"I am...and I really need your help. I was a student of this school and the last thing I know I'm already dead... I don't even
know where my grave is. That's why I am still restless."

"But...why me?" Hyukjae asked sourly.

"It's not some kind of pre-destined kind of but...since you see me like when I was alive...you're the only one who can help
me."

Hyukjae puffed his cheeks and nodded. "In return..." he looked at Donghae. "I'll teach you some of the dance moves that I know."

It was settled, Hyukjae is going to help Donghae look for his grave. At home, one night, the dancer asked his mom... "Umma, how
can you make a soul rest in peace?"

"Some says through prayers...but for me... I used to offer 3 incense and flowers to your grandparents so they can rest in peace.
Why?"

He shook his head. "Nothing."

-----------
The search goes on as Hyukjae and Donghae started becoming less and less strangers to each other. They started getting along
well and appreciating each other's presence. Hyukjae was more happy knowing that he has a confidant when it comes to his passion.
He now realise that he is more into pop and hiphop. He changed the dance steps that he's been teaching jazzy to lyrical type pop.
He also consider himself lucky now that he can see how sleak and smooth Donghae moves when dancing and with those supposedly
transparent eyes, he always see himself smiling.

One day while Hyukjae finished his class, he went straight to the shower room and stripped every piece of clothing not knowing
that Donghae might be around. When he the shower he suddenly stepped back when he saw the handsome ghost looking at
him with a naughty smile.

"What are you doing here?"

"I stay in this school."

"I know. What I mean is... WHY THE HELL ARE YOU IN MY SHOWER CUBICLE?!"

Donghae just laugh at how Hyukjae seem to look stupid when he is not dancing but is definitely hot when showing his moves. He,
too, wonders why he feels happy with the dance coach around. It feels like he is indeed alive. Everytime he sees Hyukjae looking
at him and talking to him, laughing and even dancing with him made him feel he was never dead.

One night, Hyukjae decided to stay inside the studio to spend time with Donghae. He brought soju and two paper cups for them to
share. "Yah! it's not healthy for a guy who dance to drink, you know." Donghae said.

Hyukjae just chuckled as he pour the alcohol on both glasses. He offered the first one to Donghae which he took and drink. The
dead put his empty cup down beside the bottle. The two spend their night talking however, without anything regarding Hyukjae's
mission and Donghae's dance moves. They talk about themselves and they find each other intersting.

"Actually I never really date before." Hyukjae said blushing. The dead just looks at him while he is smiling, obviously getting
into the alcohol.

"Why? Do you have any preferences? I used to date a hot chick before and ended up with a sleak dancer like you."

"Really?!" Hyukjae said in shock. Does that mean it's still possible for him to like Donghae? Well...he's not really into gay
things but... since when was the last time he ever thought of dating? Actually he never thought of it until this dead came.

Donghae crossed his eyebrows when he noticed Hyukjae blushing. "Yah...don't tell me you're falling for me." he said and laughed
shortly while shaking his head. However, when the other looked at him seriously, he swallowed invisible saliva and turned
serious as well.

"Hyukjae ah... you're 5 years late. I'm already dead-"

He doesn't know whether it was because of alcohol or because Hyukjae turned crazy because of his appearance but the latter man
suddenly hold him tight and owned his lips. And he, just sat there feeling the warm lips on his. He's dead. Both of then knows
he is dead and yet, Hyukjae didn't mind kissing those cold lips...and the most unbelievable thing is that Donghae feels good
about it. He closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around the living and kissed back. He's not drunk, but he- never mind. Even
Hyukjae didn't mind him being dead so why would he?
Donghae pushed Hyukjae down, hands on the dancer's shoulder, his body pressing the bottom man as well. "Are we going to do this?"
he asked.

"Be gentle. It's my first time." Hyukjae said making Donghae show his dino teeth. They looked at each other and started moving
together for an impossibly, hot but cold love making. How is it even possible when one of them is dead? Still, Hyukjae finds it
extremely satisfying for a first time...and with a ghost. The moment of intimacy made him feel like Donghae was just lying that
he is dead, because he feels the pain, because he feels the pleasure and then they become one. When the dead man crawled on top
of him, he felt Donghae's sweaty chest beating the same as his. He chuckled secretly with the thought that he can feel this
supposedly dead man's heartbeat. He didn't thought he himself was panting and that his heartbeat was too fast it felt like its
two person's heartbeat. Donghae is not dead for him. And the feeling he has for the supposedly dead man is real. Even more real
than both of their existence in different worlds.

However, the reality of Donghae's death started the next day when he woke up.

Donghae was not around, but he found himself stripped inside the studio, the bottle of soju beside him one glass upside
down and the other which Donghae finished up is still with alcohol as if it was not touched at all...and the principal looking
at him with disappointment.

He wasn't fired but he was given some leave of absence to fix himself up. At least to lessen his talking to himself habit,
smiling and laughing to himself and even chasing himself around the school and staying late in the studio and shouting incidents
in the shower room.

"Donghae ah!" he called one day. He turned to the side and saw Donghae smiling at him. He smiled back. Are they in a
relationship? Maybe. After what happened that night, they should be. Donghae stretched his arm and offer his hand to Hyukjae,
the latter smiled and hold his hand even encircling his arm around the dead.

"They think I am crazy."

"Well maybe you are..." Donghae turned to him meeting his eyes. "You fell in love with a dead." he smiled and kissed Hyukjae's
lips.
The bliss of being together has its own complication, and their love story would have been overly boring without it. That's
what Hyukjae thinks. Maybe he should stop being crazy? But just the thought of not being with Donghae now seemed to be
impossible for him.

"You're still looking for my grave, right?" Donghae asked him one day while they were together. The dead lying down on his lap.
Hyukjae looked away...

He was able to find it as soon as he had the leave of absence and yet he never tell it to his dead lover. He stood up and look
away...Donghae followed him and wrapped his arms around his dancer and rest his head at the crook of his neck. "You don't want
me to leave, isn't it?" Hyukjae looked at him meeting the dead man's transparent eyes.

"What do you think? Things are happy with us being like this, don't you feel happy with it?"

"I am...but don't you want to find someone who can stay with you for the rest of your life?"

"I find you-" Hyukjae said making Donghae stop.

"You're the only one... I never dare falling in love...even believing in ghost until you came. You're the one who made me
believe in this!"

"Hyukjae ah..."

"You really want to leave? Fine. Go." he said letting a tear fell. Donghae chuckled a bit. In a moment of silence, Hyukjae
thought he was really gone but when he looked at his side he saw the dead man crossing his arms and looking at him. "Why aren't
you leaving?"

"don't you get it? I appear when you think of me. So what will make me disappear?"

"I'm not thinking about you."

"So why am I still here?" Donghae asked making Hyukjae even more upset.

The former walked towards him and wrapped his arms around the dancer.
"I already know, Hyukjae ah... all you need to do is to say it."

Hyukjae looked down feeling like he lost his face in front of the dead man. "I can't even think of not being with you. Donghae ah...
don't go anywhere."

He turned to his side and meet Donghae's lips. Those cold lips...he's gotten used to the freezing temperature his lover has
and he likes it as much as the ghost's existence in this world. They counted days and weeks being together, playing games, dancing,
making love. It's supposed to be endless, since Donghae won't die forever, everything won't end.

As much as both of them are happy being together, reality calls as Hyukjae slowly neglected his job just to spend time with
Donghae. His students find him ridiculously crazy as he smiles and laugh on his own. The weirdest thing is that they always
find their teacher dancing on his own and suddenly ends up embracing himself. Rumors that he going crazy started spreading in
school and as much as he hides it to Donghae...he knows the ghost knows everything. But he doesn't want the dead man to leave
him and if Donghae sees him having a hard time, he might ask for someone else to look for his grave and leave him alone. He
doesn't want that.

"Donghae ah..." Hyukjae called inside the studio one night. In one turn, he saw Donghae looking at him without any expression.
He cannot remember the last time he saw Hyukjae looking so fresh and clean. Hyukjae looks like an old caveman. Unshaved, smelly
and seemingly drunk. He knows the dancer is having a hard time. "Donghae ah!" the drunk said opening his arms for an embrace.

"Hyukjae ah...have you find my grave yet?" Hyukjae sighed and let go of the dead.

"I don't want to talk about it." Hyukjae looked away having hiccups as indeed he is drunk. He smiled showing his gums as he
approaches the dead. "I don't want you to leave... I want you to stay with me."

"Hyukjae ah...look at what is happening to you because of me. I cannot bare seeing you like this." Donghae's eyes shows
loneliness as well but he kept his hands in his pocket staying on the place where he stands. "Let's end this all here."

The drunk man closed his eyes and breathe in deeply before getting even more closer to Donghae. He doesn't like talking about
separating with Donghae. He doesn't like the thought of it. "Set me free, Hyukjae ah... set yourself free." hearing these
almost whispering words from the dead man he loves alot made him feel furious, why does he want to be set free? after all the '
laughters they shared, after all the dance they both created...after all the times they made love. He gave a punch to his dead
lover as a tear fell down.

"Yah! Do you think it's easy?!" Hyukjae shouted as he curled his down crying and looking away.

Donghae fell down on the floor but stood up feeling furious and immediately reciprocating the punch he received.
"Yah! Have you really gone crazy?! I'm dead, Lee Hyukjae... I'm already dead!"

"You think I also want to be like this?!" Hyukjae said in between exchanges of punches. Both bodies rolling on the cold floor,
making sure one of them will be on top of the other. "I don't want this as well, but I cannot escape anymore! I cannot stop
myself from loving you." Hyukjae said while giving a jawbreaking punch.

They roll over on top of each other punching each other's face whenever they find chances. "That's the reason why I want to set
you free!" Donghae said this time trying to stop Hyukjae from moving. "You're the only one who can stop us!" he finally let
himself top Hyukjae, holding him tightly to calm him down. Both are breathing at the crook of each other's neck. Donghae slowly
wrap his arms around his lover and Hyukjae finally calm down a bit still hitting the dead on his back lightly before giving up
and embracing him back...while weeping.

"You have to set me free, Hyukjae ah..." Donghae whispered.

They hugged each other for as long as they know and when they separated Donghae looked at Hyukjae in his transparent eyes. He
touched his lover's face as the other felt coldness in his palm and yet felt warm in his heart. "You're going to do this for
the both of us."

Hyukjae curled his lips down and let tears fell. Donghae smiled at him. "You're going to do this..." the coach looked down and
nodded as he touches Donghae's hand. The dead smiled at him as he kissed his lover's forehead. "Do not think about me anymore,
do not call for my name anymore, Hyukjae ah..."
Hyukjae closed his eyes harder letting a couple of tears come out in one go as he nodded. For the last time, Donghae wrapped his
dancer around his arms and gave him a tight hug as Hyukjae continuously cry.

A week of doubting whether he could do it or not, Hyukjae, now shaved and newly hair cut, kneel down in front of a grave.

Our beloved son and friend
Lee Donghae
1986-2007

Hyukjae breathe in deeply trying to stop his tears as he started lighting up the incense. He was trying hard to control his
breathing but before could light the third one, he started crying touching the hard cement with Donghae's name. He find it hard
to let go of the grave knowing that it is his lover under it but he has to do it... for both of them.

He lighted up the incense, offered the flower and said his prayers, praying for Donghae to rest in peace and be in heaven where
he should be. He also prayed that someday in heaven or in this world, he could have a chance to love and be with Donghae for real.

He looked at the grave for the last time as he stood up. Before starting to walk away, he suddenly felt a cold hand holding his
cheek turning his face and now he saw Donghae smiling at him, drawing their faces closer to each other for a kiss. Hyukjae
closes his eyes as he freed another set of tears as Donghae deepen the kiss, pulling both cheeks towards him, thumb  doing
circles on his jaw. They finally broke the kiss with Donghae leaning on Hyukjae's forehead smiling and looking at him with his
transparent eyes.

"You'll be fine...trust me." Donghae whispered to him still making circles on his cheeks. Hyukjae looked at him for the last
time; those transparent eyes, that slender nose, his dinosaur mouth, his cold hands, his sweet lips... "I love you...
Hyukjae ah..."

He cannot think about him anymore, he cannot call his name as well...but they both know...deep in Hyukjae's heart...he will
always remember.

The next week became a miracle to him. Facing another day breathing and living without Donghae beside him is such a miracle for
him.
He went back to his class early morning and was surprised to see someone dancing inside. He looked back and saw a pair of
transparent eyes.

"Coach Lee?" the dancer said panting. "I'm a new teacher...please guide me." he said with a bow. Hyukjae blinked and blinked
again as the new teacher offered a handshake...he smiled and took the hand... he has the same transparent eyes, the same
dinosaur mouth then again, the new dancer's hand is warm unlike his past lover's.. still the feeling felt...the same.

"Donghae ah..." he called. He's becoming dilussional or...is he?

The new teacher titled his head wondering...how did Coach Lee know my name?
