For the foreword, I would like to leave a letter to Kim Jonghyun.

Dearest Jonghyun.

You know, you were my first bias. Many years ago I was very bored and happened to stumble across Shinee's season of Hello Baby. You caught my eye immediately. Your bright laugh, exuberant energy, and incredible sense of humor had me grinning from ear to ear. I was hooked immediately. Shinee would be playing on repeat in my ear as I worked, and then on repeat again as I drove home. Then I would listen to you AGAIN until I went to sleep. I was addicted.

As my interest in Korean artists expanded, and my focus shifted to other bands, I still came back to you every time. Your powerful vocals often left me breathless. You helped me to feel more emotions than I thought I was capable of feeling. I watched your stages. I laughed with you. I cried with you. I formed a bond with you. It is a bond that I cherish very much, even to this day. My only regret is that I never had the opportunity to see you perform in the flesh. By God I knew it would have been one of the best experiences in my life if I had.

I wish that I had been able to support you more, as many of your fans do too. I wish you could have relied on us, but alas, we are just fans. You fought so damn hard, with a strength that no one else could posess. I don't see this as you losing that battle. I see this as you finally gaining the relief and peace that you deserve. I only wish that you didn't have to go through it alone. I wish that someone had been at your side, and held your hand, and told you that every thing was going to be okay.

I pray that you are looking down on all of us, and seeing the intense expressions of love that people from all over the world are sending you. I pray that you are smiling, and laughing as you watch us offer our hearts to you. I pray that you have no regrets, and that your sould can rest at ease.

I will never forget you, and your voice will continue to echo in my heart until the day that I may join you in your rest.
