You're The Reason Why.
“Fortunately we were able to stop the bleeding before it's too late.” The doctor said earning a sigh of relief from everyone.
“What about the baby? Is it…” Jungkook asked hesitating with his words and the doctor gave him a small smile followed by a nod.
“The baby’s fine, she’s lucky you got her here in time, if you have waited any longer we wouldn’t have been able to save him. Though from now on, she shouldn’t be near, do, or hear anything that stresses her out. Also she shouldn’t move a lot, as for fresh air, she can go out on the condition that she’ll use the wheelchair.” He said one last time before excusing himself, leaving the rest to hug each other out of relief, happy with the news.
Jungkook crouched on the floor letting his tears fall even more. He was happy, happy that nothing went wrong with you or your baby, and he was going to make sure to prevent anything bad from getting near you.
Two nurses came out dragging your bed along with them, making him stand abruptly and rush to your side along with your mom, and hold your hand like his life depended on it. His eyes stayed focused on you forgetting his surroundings, as if there were only you in that space and followed along as they took you to your room.
Everyone looked at the scene in front of them with pained eyes, guilt and sadness eating them. Jungkook’s father suddenly took the initiative to clear his throat, looking at the boys before his hand landed on his wife.
“All of you, care to explain what Jungkook’s blaze was all about?” He stated firmly while the boys shifted their eyes back and forth before Taehyung took a step forward.
“As someone who’s been there, I should probably explain. Actually-” He felt a warm touch on his shoulder cutting him off, as he turned to look at the middle-aged woman that gave him a gentle smile and stepped forward instead.
“Let me handle this.” She said and he just nodded while the parents looked at the female with confusion, except for Mr. Jeon who was quite upset, sensing that his wife’s involvement was more than keeping a secret.
“The reason why Seul left five years ago, wasn’t just because of the scholarship you got her Haneul-ah” She said while looking at Taehyung’s mother. “I was another reason, but my hands were tied, back then I had no idea that things would end up that way.”
“What did you do?” Mr. Jeon said calmly but it was evident that he was fuming.
“Honey…”
“I said. What did you do?”He added as she continued.
“Seo corporation approached me when the company was suffering, they offered help and I told them that it wasn’t up to me to decide. But it turned out their intentions had nothing to do with the company.” A heavy breath left and her hand trembled before she continued. “Apparently Mr. Seo’s daughter was interested in Jungkook and they wanted to arrange their marriage, but when I rebuked their request they decided to convince me by force, they targeted Junghyun, how they knew of his whereabouts I don’t know but pictures of him in campus and around his friends suddenly were scattered in front of me. Making me choose between my two kids, Junghyun’s life or Jungkook’s happiness. So I took the easiest one.” The boys except for Taehyung, unaware of Mrs. Jeon’s side of story were taken back, while the parents listened attentively as she recounted.
She looked at her husband before turning to your father holding his hand and looking him sincerely in the eyes. “I honestly, never meant to hurt Seul in any kind of way. When she told me that I was going to have a grandchild I was really happy, I thought they were going to give up i
