Jihoon POV

"What are you talking about? Your making 0 sense right now." Hyungseob slap my face with both of his hands

"Lookie lookie you pink squishy Jiggly Puff. You've changed within the course of 4 hours." I shake my head 

"Nah~ that's not true! I still don't believe you!" Daewhi points at me

"Quick! Ask him a question!" Daewhi asks Hyungseob who looks me straight in the eyes

"What did you learn at school today?"

"Uh. . . We did the math problem N verses NP!" Woojin slaps his forehead and Daewhi begins brusting out in laughter

"PUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Hyung! That's literally one of THE MOST HARDEST MATH PROBLEM IN THE WORLD!!! AHAHA! How did you even-!"

"Really Jihoon? You just said a problem not even Albert Einstein can solve!" Woojin shakes his head "I told you, I told you, I TOLD YOU." He flicks my forehead!

"So does that mean Jihoonie hyung has to do the PUNISHMENT BOX???!!" Daewhi jumps around excitedly

"Wow Daewhi. I love you too." He waves his finger at me

"No, no, no, no. You did this too yourself honey." He cheerfully skips away

"We can't decide if he's staying true to his word or not." Daehwi turns around and pouts 

"But you saw it too right! He's definetly change!" Hyungseob nods his head 

"Okay! It's decided! Woojinie the Punishment Box is under my bed!" Woojin gives the okay and comes out 5 seconds later with the greatest smile I've ever seen him make. He places down the dusty wooden box. He pats me on the back

"Uwah ya~ it's been so long since I've seen this when* did it get so dusty!" Daewhi begins blowing off the dust on the top.

"Okay this is the 3rd time in 2 years! Since we've opened this box. The first time it was Samuel and the second time was Senho. And now you." Hyungseob takes off the slot lid and shows me the top

"Are you ready?" He asks 

"Nope. Because I still did nothing wrong!" Daewhi clicks his tongue multiple times and wags his finger at me

"Hyung it's not good to lie!"

"I'm not lying I'm telling you!" Hyungseob shakes his head

"Jihoon, we all saw it! You can't say anything else about it!" 

"Guys we should just get over it. Jihoonie just accept your fate." I kick my feet and whine

"But that's not fair! I'm not in love-

*Ding Dong*

We all turn our heads

"What, what, what? Who's at the door?" Woojin stood up

"What's going on?" Daewhi asked

"Did you order something when you left the cafe?" Hyungseob asked me

"No. We didn't we just lefted. Could it be your parents or neighbors?" He shook his head

"My parents left with them on a business cruise. So it can't be them." The door bell rung a couple more times most likey indicating the person was probably pissed and impatient from waiting

"Coming! Please wait!" I ran to the door and unlocked it 

"Hello-"

"Ohhh. . . It's you. I didn't know you lived here." I froze

There he was

The one person I did not want to see at all

The stranger on the roof

"Ooo Jihoonie~ who's this?" Hyungseob appeared behinds and put his arm on my sholder

"It's him" I said griting my teeth. 

"Oh? Bae Jinyoung?" Daehwi pops out and points at him

"Daewhi ya~ you know him?" Woojin asks

"Yea, he's Lin Lin's friend. And my classmate." 

"I'm sorry I'm not friends with the chick. He's just my desk partner." He said

"Ouch so cold. Anyways what's up?" He hands me the box 

"Are you Ahn Hyungseob?" I shake my head

"Nope. He's not. Nice to meet chu~ I'm the Ahn resident's son. How can I help you?" He turns to Hyungseob

"Well nice to meet you too. I'm Bae Jinyoung I live on the 5 floor and my parents asked me to give this to you." He points at the box as I open it up

"Ya~ it's a pearl and sliver necklace!" I hand the box the Daewhi who brings it to Woojin they both head up stairs to Hyungseob's room with him following behind

"Um. . .Okay cool. I'll just leave now." He grabs the bag bag next to him and prepares to leave

But who says I was going to let him leave?

I grab his arm befor he closes the door

"Wait-" He turns around and stares at me

"I'm sorry?" I let go of his wrist

"Oh. . . No. It's nothing. You can leave now-"

"No, no, no, no, no! What was you name again? Jinyoungie?" Hyungseob slides down his stair case and stops me from closing the door

"You can't just leave!" Daewhi takes his hand and pulls him inside they sit him down on the couch and take his black bag

"What are doing with all these boxes?" Woojin asks

"That's boxes for my other neighbors." Daewhi continues flipping through the bag

"Let's see here, . . . Oh? This is the label for my apartment building, Woojinie hyung is here too, and Jihoonie hyung too." He hands the boxes to us. I look at the box and open it. 

It's a sliver charm bracelet with a white moon charm

I didn't know anything of it. It didn't look familiar to me more as if it had felt familiar

It felt nostalogic 

"What did you get Jihoonie?" Woojin asked 

I quickly closed my box

"Oh no, it's nothing. It's just a pearl necklace." He nods and I turn my attention to the stranger

"If you don't mind me asking. . . Jinyoung" He looked up at me

"Hmm? I thought you were pissed at me?" He gave me a smug look

"Ugh! Can you just forget what happened earlier today!" I pout

"I won't ever forget what happened~" He smiles mischeviously at me

"Sorry if you don't mind me intrududing on your flirting session here. But-"

"Hyungseob! We're not flirting! He's clearing trying to piss me off!"

"Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that. Anyways, Jinyoungie would you like some help delivering these?" 

"No, it's alright. I'll just do it myself." He stands up and takes the bag

"Are you sure? There's quite a bit of boxes and ya know what they say! The more the merrier!" Daehwi takes the bag from him

"No I inssit you guys shouldn't-" I nudge his shoulder

"Once they say something. Their going to do it. So you can't really stop them." He mouths an "Oh" and nods his head 

"Okay sure. I guess a little help wouldn't be that bad." Daehwi nods and calls for Woojin

"Is everybody ready?" Daewhi runs out with an obviously over sized brown sweater

"Alright! I'm good! Thanks for letting me borrow your sweater hyung!" Hyungseob ruffles through his hair and smiles

"Lovely, let's go now!" Woojin opens the door for all of us and closes it we walk down the halls delivering different and each box one by one, Jinyoung takes a chance to get too know us better.

"I'm Hyungseob. But you can talk to me informally I don't really care! I'm a junior and I'm dating this cute sparrow~" He clings on to Woojin's arm. Daewhi smiles and gives a little wave

"I'm pretty sure you already know me. I'm Lee Daewhi~ you already know me as Guanlin's bestie! Since we're in the same grade let's speak causually!" 

"Heyo, I'm Woojin. I've been dating this adorable bunny for 4 years, I grew up with this otter, and I've known this idiot forever." He points to me and Jinyoung laughs 

"How about you tell us something about yourself?" He stops and freezes up a little bit

"I'm 16 year old Bae Jinyoung. I'm a sophmore." He stops his sentence and press his lips together. Hyungseob looks at him

"That's it? C'mon that can't be it isn't your life more interesting then 2 sentences?" He nods his head

"That's it. My life was never interesting." 

"Jinyoungie hyung, can I ask something?" Woojin asks

"Alright, try me." He nods

"What elementary school did you attend?" He hesitates and thinks

"As I was growing up I moved multiple times and that has made me switch schools quite a bit. So I don't remember most of the schools I went too. But I do remember one. It was when I was 5 years old. About 11 years ago I attended this elementary school for only 2 months but throught the 2 months. . . Something happened that I'd rather not say. However the name of the school was-"

1 year apart

Only attended for 2 months

Could it?

"Cheil Elementary. Right?" He looks at me and nods

"Hyung, how'd you know?" I shrug

"I don't know just a hunch cause that's where we went." Everything grows quiet. Nothing. No one exchanges looks.

"Jinyoung. . . Did you perphaps have a crush on this boy with dark brown hair, he had galaxy like eyes, and chubby cheeks? He was in the kindergarten, the Lily Class, ya know the class on the first floor in room 2-1 near the gym. He really likes strawberry milk." Jinyoung looks up at Woojin and widens his eyes

"H-h-how did you know? Did you know him?" He nods

"He was my desk partner and my best friend. One day he ordered two drinks and lefted with the drinks the minute we were called out to play. He came back to the classroom with the biggest smile I've ever seen in my entire life. As long as he was happy I didn't need to worry about him. His smiling days continued for 2 months." Woojin takes a deep breath and continues

"After the 2 months passed he stopped smiling. He stopped coming to school and when he did come he wouldn't talk to anyone. I along with many other friends were worried about him so we planned out a party for him. However the next day he came to school and he started talking again. As his best friend I knew something was wrong until I realized. . . He was putting on a mask. He acted okay and he acted as if he was completely fine when he wasn't. And now honestly he still acts like that." 

I knew Daewhi was looking and taking glances at me

I could hear Hyungseob figeting his fingers 

I know how worried Woojin's voice was while he was explaining

Everything was directed at me

this was about me 

The boy in Woojin's story

"Really!? Oh my gosh! Really? Do you know where he is today?" Woojin smiles

"Yea, I do he's right here in this-" I quickly cover his mouth

"This is our last stop." I had him the box and his bag

"We're leaving now. Have a good day." I grab Daehwi's wrist and walk away

"We'll take the elevator on the left. Good bye." I wait for Woojin and Hyungseob to get on as they wave goodbye to Jinyoung on the other side. The doors close and. Slience, again

"Why did you do that." Woojin asked

"No comment." 

"Aren't you happy? You found him." 

". . . . I don't know. . . I don't know how I should feel right now."

I feel full and not half empty

I feel warmth and light 

But I also feel darkness lingering
