Chapter 9 – Run Away
“TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho is a bad man ‘cause he’s a busy man.
But Jung Yunho isn’t all that bad.”
- Kim Jaejoong
Both Yunho and Jaejoong focused their energies on their work to take their minds off what happened. Jaejoong looked more affected by this than Yunho, and he was being consoled by Yoochun and Junsu throughout their activities.
Jaejoong was concerned that he lashed out at the person he loved, but more than being angry that night, he was only afraid… He didn’t want to go back to a life where there is no Jung Yunho.
He tried calling Yunho numerous times, but no one would answer. He tried chancing upon Yunho at his house but no one was there. This went on for several days. Yunho was avoiding him completely, and it tormented Jaejoong.
He caught news of Yunho staying at Changmin’s house one time. He couldn't miss that opportunity.
Changmin was in his living room one afternoon watching TV when someone rang the doorbell. At the same time, someone was calling his phone. ‘Jaejoong-hyung,’ it said on the screen.
Changmin took his phone and stood up to get the door. Another doorbell was heard. Looks like the visitor was in a rush.
He answered the call first, “Hello, hyung?”
“Changmin-ah, open the door please. It’s me.” Jaejoong said.
“Oh.” What’s going on? Changmin opened the door, and then this man with a hooded jacket and face mask went in.
Jaejoong pulled down his face mask and asked, “Where’s Yunho?”
Changmin was taken aback and blinked a few times, trying to to grasp the situation, before pointing to the nearby room. Immediately, the other man went straight to the room that Yunho was in. Changmin closed the front door, went back to the sofa and sat comfortably.
“Are they fighting again?” He asked himself. Not necessarily wanting to get involved, he just continued watching TV.
In the room where Yunho was in, Jaejoong unexpectedly barged in. Yunho was surprised to see him, but he kept on what he was doing, folding clothes into a luggage.
“You’re really avoiding me…” Jaejoong said.
“What are you doing here?” Yunho asked coldly while fixing his clothes.
Jaejoong didn't think through what he'd say to Yunho. He only wanted to see if he could snap him out of his belief that what he did was right.
“I thought we talked about not meeting anymore.” Yunho said without looking at Jaejoong.
“I didn’t agree to that,” the other man stubbornly said.
“What if someone saw you… You’ve always just done what you wanted.” Yunho said sternly which sounded like a scold.
“Well, You’ve always been a coward.” Jaejoong said, criticizing Yunho.
This made the taller man face him. “A coward?” He questioned. His anger started to build.
“You couldn’t say it straight to my face that you wanted to stop seeing me. You even had to hide behind the pretense of work. Busy? Tired? If I hadn’t asked you, you would have just left me slowly in the dark, huh? Was that your plan?” Jaejoong was right. It's not something a mature adult would do.
“I didn’t want to do it. You think I could just say it easily…” Yunho said. There were many difficult things he had to do as a leader, but those didn't compare to this.
“But in the end, you still did.” Jaejoong started crying. H
